I came to The Warning late, but it's been so fun to go back and look at their progression in live performances from 2013 through now. Even just looking the difference between this TEDx talk in 2016 and the next TEDx in 2017, you can see so much growth in that year. It's very inspirational!

River's Soul is a fantastic song; it would be wonderful to see it live.

Would be nice if they brought back these songs on a new album with their new voices and new instruments and way more experience, they’re awesome songs!

Totally agree. The first two albums are kind of over-engineered. They are so much better live.

I recommend Pau playing the cover of Creep

The easy trick to remember their age is, Dany was born in 2000, so her age is the year, so right now 23, then Pau is 2 years younger so 21 and Ale 3 years younger so 18. There is about a month and half period from mid-December to the beginning of February when the age difference with Ale is only 2 years, but generally speaking the trick works. In this TedX Dany was still 15 since this was a week before her birthday and Pau about 2 weeks away, if I remember correctly. Dany is January 30th, Pau is February 5th and Ale is December 13th.
Regarding Ale's vocals now, I may be wrong, but I think that you can hear her, but since most of the time she sings the lower parts, Dany and especially Pau which often sings the high harmony are more audible, but if you would remove Ale's part, you would immediately notice that something would be missing.

Tyler Hawkins (R.I.P) The girls were in support of Foo Fighters in concert when one day they are playing in support and watching their performance and the next news comes out he died.

Easy way to know there ages is just remember Dany was born in 2000. This is a 2016 video so she's 16. -2 for Pau and -5 for Ale. There bays are all less than a month and a half apart.

    • @NoSmokingDogs
      @NoSmokingDogs 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Except this video in January falls between Ale's December birthday and Pau/Dany's so it actually ends up being 15/13/11 for this video. But for most of the year, that trick works.

I would like for Ale to be that high in the mix on their current stuff. Unfortunately it seems that she tends to tell Lalo to turn her down some. At least with the VMA's she was a little more prominent. That doesn't mean I don't like Dany and Pau. But up through the Dakota Bar I could hear Ale better. Of course, my hearing in general is not quite as good as it was...LOL

The mind blowing part is Ale wrote River's Soul a couple of years before this show. So, maybe that's why the basslines seem so advanced. She was just showing off. LOL What I like about these shows is that Ale talks a lot. I'm not sure what happened with her, but at this age she was the most fluent of the three, and she did a lot of the talking. They had two (at least) songs included on Rock Band.

What happened to her was she hit puberty. People's personalities change when they become teenagers. One of my nephews, who used to be very talkative and socisl# become quiet and introverted with teenhood. Me myself i used to be very logical and observant as a child but teenhood made me very sentimental and self-centered.

There is a video of them going to what I think was Playstation HQ, taking a tour and then getting told that "Survive" would be on the next version of Rock Band. I don't really remember all the details but if I find it I'll post a link.

My entry point for this band was seeing a short on Facebook, featuring Ale laying it down with her bass. I immediately went to TH-cam and watched the Evolve video, and was instantly hooked. So, yeah, for me, every day is Ale day.

You are not alone in feeling proud of them, having been able to watch them grow from some of the coolest kids ever into the amazing young women they are now, how could you not feel that way. And the fact that they have remained the same humble, goofy and kind people makes even easier to far in love with them!

I've not seen this before, they killed it here. Being new to the band as well I can only imagine the sense of pride that older fans have. Whether you jumped on from the 2014 Sandman video, one of the Tedx's, or somewhere a little later - I can only imagine the depth of emotion some people have for them.

I found them about a montg before this was released. It has been great to watch their growth over the years. Back then, their vocals were a source of some troll complaints. At this point, the girls were prioritizing their instruments and songwriting. They have put years of vocal training since then to become the powerful singers they are now.

You're completely right about two things: yes, Ale's microphone is always set to a lower volume than her sisters', but because of her own desire. In the last shows in Mexico, it seems that this has changed a little. The second is that Ale actually has a more restrained behavior on stage these days, but it is also something that has been gradually changing. The pandemic and consequently her absence from the stage made her more restrained. She will still be 19 years old and that will change a lot!

The summer before this concert, the girls were in the Berklee College program. I believe that you are supposed to be 15 years old to attend, but Ale was only 10. I bet she played circles around some of the older kids.

The Girls have done 3 TEDx's. The 3rd in 2017 which you so rarely see. This was the second in late 2016. I have a preference for the 1st. The 3rd was also done at a local hotel and not on this stage. I'm not sure why they changed stages. It may have had a bigger capacity. You can tell the 1st from the second is by the audience. 1 was 2/3 full, the 2nd all the seats are full.

Ale, age 11, is impressive and she is not yet shy - her mic is up - she's talkative, shyness came later and lately she is returning to that stage. If you want to see an even younger Ale (and Dany & Pau) crushing it - I suggest you react to: HYSTERIA - MUSE COVER - THE WARNING @ LICEO
Btw. The Warning are huge Muse fans - They opened for them in Mexico and in Europe this year (2023) - Dany was gifted a mustard yellow (one of the kind) Manson guitar by Matt Bellamy.
And, for your own benefit, see once again TW covering the same Foo Figher song in, IMO, the absolute best cover: THE PRETENDER - FOO FIGHTERS COVER - THE WARNING - OUT OF THE BASEMENT

RE: Ale's mic volume! Yesss! I've made so many comments on videos wondering why her mic volume is so low. Even the few times she has sung lead, it's a real struggle to hear her clearly. I know she doesn't like singing very much, so that may be why.

I agree with you, i dont understand why both in the albums and live Ale's voice is so subdued since as this presentation proves she has both a great voice but also a very powerful voice, she out-sang both her sisters on how loud she sings. Ale's voice needs to be more proeminent from now on. C'mon, The Warning! Please with sugar on top and a cherry.

Pau has changed the way she play drums a lot because it was too energetic and she started to have pain to her shoulder and elbows
