Magnetism is discussed in several chapters in Volume 2 of "The Feynman Lectures on Physics".
It is available on-line (Thanks to Cal Tech) and hard copies are still in print.
Honestly i love this channel. Really helpful and awesome recommendations you provide
I found an online obit for the author: Professor Emeritus Dattatray Parasnis 1927-2023 Professor Emeritus Dattatray Parasnis, Luleå, passed away on 16 June 2023 at the age of 96. Besides many journal articles, Datta wrote several books. He had great success with Principles of Applied Geophysics, which was updated and printed in several editions and used as a textbook in many countries. Dattatray Parasnis had a strong scientific position with his successful research, was rewarded with a number of awards and was a very good ambassador for Luleå University of Technology. Many of us miss him.
Saw the copy on Amazon increase from $12 on early view to $112 a couple hours later.
That's crazy
And it's not the same aesthetically pleasing cover as this one
i bought a very old stange book like 15 years ago called the magnetic lodestone and it had some really cool info in it
Thanks so much for reviewing this book. I am very interested in books like this.
This comment might be completely off the topic of math, but it sort of relates to magnetism. Its interesting to me, anyway. There's a house in LA next about 200 feet from where Sharon Tate lived. Its called the Oman House. The guy that owns it showed a wrench and compass that became magnetized after being in the house for a few days. Supposedly some very strange things happen in that house. There's a hallway in it that looks smaller or bigger as someone stands it and people reported feeling dizzy in it. That reminds of things I've read about optical illusions in psychology. But I thought it was interesting the compass and wrench became magnetized after a few days in the house because something like that might have scientific reason. Maybe there's a magnetic zone on the spot the house was built on or something.

a collaboration between you and ken wheeler would be fun
Magic book
interesting materials and their chemistry...
Why does everyone think the Math Sorcerer is always sniffing books?
It's not that he's sniffing them-it's just his magnetic nose pulling him in close
@@kenfrank2730 yep
usually i do it every day almost 12 hours straight
and laughing like Kamala Harris at the same time
we math persons are weird sometimes
Can u review the Algorithms book by Sedgwick and Wayne🙏🏾🙏🏾
cool
Does it predate quantum electrodynamics
No wave equations in that one I guess
Mesmerism
N piskounov. and schaum series
Do you have any children? Just asking they would be very knowledgeable that can knockoff anyone in argument?
That's what I'm trying to do. Get a bunch of books and increase my knowledge so I can make my kids geniuses
Can U able to prove Ramanujan Theories >
