Poco was the most underrated band of all time. It’s all about timing sometimes. The Eagles made it, but don’t think they don’t appreciate the contribution Poco made. They paved the way man.
Totally Agree, While I like some of the Eagle's stuff, Poco was such a fresh sound, super vocals, great pickin' - wonderful songwriting! Saw Poco this February at the SWFL Event Center in Bonita Springs, FL. Rusty was amazing, as was Jack and the rest of the band too!
I have read where the Eagles did acknowledge Poco, Glenn Frey in particular, and considered them one of the bands they learned some things from. They all played the same clubs and knew each other well. Randy Meisner was a member of Poco for a while so there was some influence right there.
OMG - how it makes me miss Rusty and Paul and seeing them at Wildwood Springs in Steelville MO... LOVED Poco!!! Best band of all times... Best memories of all times...
Richie is the major musician to continually Promote country rocl from the sixties until now accompanied by such incredible musicians such as Stills Messina Smitz cook etc. Follow POCO THRO LOGGINS AND M😅ESSINA, THE EAGLES CSN AND Y MANASSAS BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, on and on it goes and the fact that he has found
The Byrds were called America's answer to The Beatles and that kind of held all the way through and including Notorious Byrd Bros . And had Moby Grape been possessed by collective sanity and proper management, they had an assembled musical talent that made Buffalo Springfield look like Battle of the Bands contestants somewhere in middle America.
Hey hugosalarm, did you also know that Richie is also an ordained minister here in colorado too.. Richie and Poco belong in the rock and roll hall of fame...
"In a strange way, I saw myself as you knew me. When the change came and you had the chance to see through me". Great 'effing music. Buffalo Springfield were one helluva group.
Awesome, amazing live performance. Loved this song when I first heard Buffalo Springfield perform it when I was about 15, 65 now, the years go by too fast !
@@sammyscotch9945 amen my brother, each year now goes by so fast. you look in the mirror and you are 50 then in the blink of an eye you are in your mid/late 60s. cherish your loved ones and hold them and love them. life is so fragile.
+Linda Randall thank you for reminding everyone else linda. they did rock. saw them spring 74 in champaign. rusty was the keeper of that show. instrumental beyond sensational.
I was there also in Champaign. That school had sooo many great groups that came through there in late 60's and earlier 70s..... at the Red Lion and other venues in town
I saw them at Glassboro State College in New Jersey in 19 69 or 70 or 71 dot dot dot the opening act was Elton John exclamation point and as awesome as he was, they brought the house down
Very cool Linda. I am so glad I was born so I could enjoy all of the music back then and see it live. I also think the venues were much smaller and more intimate than today's stages. Just my opinion
Not surprised. The whole Byrds-Buffalo-Loggins-McDonald-Skaggs gang seem to have ranchos in the neighborhood north of the Indian reservation. Not unusual to see them in Los Olivos or Santa Ynez.
1979 saw the final Poco album, and to me, their absolute finest, as even now with all the sources, imesh, iTues, RealPlayer Network, and of course here, it's still a near impossible feat to acquire all those super cuts off the LEGEND Album, white, horse sketch and red eyes. Some soft, mellow tunes, and a couple of very intense driving rock tunes, perfection! I've that vinyl, had 4500+, wives come, albums go! A shame, a .5-.8gr. tracking shibata elipse AT cart. the 200 left are mint. Simi Valley!
Funny. Jim did “Kind Woman” on the live “Sittin’ in Again” album in 2005. Seems odd that he would have many kind words for Richie in his introduction and then sing a song written by Richie when he is actually performing with Kenny Loggins at that show. I think they buried whatever hatchet existed many years before then It’s called foregiveness and renewal of friendship.
Timmy isn't here. It's still an excellent post. The biggest gaff they had was JM choking on the reunion "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" JM screwed up on Live TV. He was lost and it cost them a unch. The recocrd is one of my fav's.
I belong to a pay site (a bargain @ $25/yr) Wolfgangs Vault that has thousands of live recordings from back in the day including several Poco. Shaeffer Music festival from Central Park, NYC 1972. Wolfgang was Billy Graham’s given name and these were his personal property until he died. They have made public.
Mguinn and Hillman, the 2 evangelists and far right conservatives. Friends if pat robertson and 700 club where u can give money to support billionaires for jesus-no joke
Agreed re: No Timothy B. Schmidt--thought maybe my eyes were worse than they are. Also I used to think of a pedal steel when I thought of Rusty Young. Any suggestions on some of that?
this does my old heart good...Poco and Buffalo Springfield were favorites during my high school days in the early '70s...
Poco was the most underrated band of all time. It’s all about timing sometimes. The Eagles made it, but don’t think they don’t appreciate the contribution Poco made. They paved the way man.
Not underrated idiot. Lengedary

The self titled "Poco" album is a classic. One of my favorites of all time.
I have read where the Eagles did acknowledge Poco, Glenn Frey in particular, and considered them one of the bands they learned some things from. They all played the same clubs and knew each other well. Randy Meisner was a member of Poco for a while so there was some influence right there.
The Eagles made it because they had 2 members TBS and Randy Meisner of Poco not mention Joe Walsh Hensley and Fry
OMG - how it makes me miss Rusty and Paul and seeing them at Wildwood Springs in Steelville MO... LOVED Poco!!! Best band of all times... Best memories of all times...
I've seen Richie Furay and Jim Messina do solo shows the last couple of years. They're still bringing it.
We're seeing Richie in February, can't wait!
Richie is the major musician to continually

BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, on and on it goes and the fact that he has found
I'm crying with joy, this is such a beautiful tribute to one of my favorite songs ever!!
Poco was an opening act for Stills/Young in 1976 at the Richfield Coleseum. Pure Prairie League was the other opening act. What a fantastic concert!!
Buffalo Springfield WAS the best counter to the British Invasion that had happened up til their time.
True country roots, with rock's pioneers!
twas paul revere and the raiders

Just saw Messina at Daryl’s club wow memories saw poco few times they were great wow I’m getting old lol
Neil wrote it but no one can sing it like Richie.
I could be wrong but I believe it was officially penned by Rusty Young.
Such a great song..🎶
all their music reminds us of the sixties..for us who grew up in that era 🤔
I miss Rusty, so sad he's gone, still can't believe it
Sadly Rusty Young and Paul Cotton have passed away recently.
Their gifts they gave us will forever be remembered.
Thank you, Neil Young.
Hey hugosalarm, did you also know that Richie is also an ordained minister here in colorado too..
Richie and Poco belong in the rock and roll hall of fame...
Absolutely!
Long live the Buffalo Springfield!
Probably the best musicians and vocalists are Rusty and Paul and it's great to see them all together.
"In a strange way, I saw myself as you knew me. When the change came and you had the chance to see through me". Great 'effing music. Buffalo Springfield were one helluva group.
Neil...
... just wonderful. And who ever knew in the day that Rusty could sing ?
Paul Cotton, playing red guitar and singing passed away 8/1/2021 RIP
Love it. Great version and they're having a great time!
Yes they are Toni😃
I love it!! So special! Thanks for sharing.
I adore them all, especially Paul Cotton. Love you, Norman.

I still love these guys!
I love this Buffalo Springfield song! Great video thanks.
That is not Thimothy B. Schmidt. That is Paul Cotton.
correct
Mais conhecido como Paulo Algodão!
In their day, Poco ROCKED...awesome...
+Linda Randall

Golden Healer, They didn't charge $16.00 for a single beer then either.
I have never heard this before a it is fantastic ! Thanks to all 😅
Joyous. What a great time.
Why is everyone in comments talking about BS? Furay was the only 1 in BS. He was in Poco. This is a Poco reunion not BS
Perhaps after the Beatles the most listen bunch of musicians that had got together. I always dug all their music.
How fun! I know it was a long time ago (2021 now), but thanks so much for posting! 😊
That's Rusty Young on the far left and Paul Cotton on the far right.
Yep both great musicians
Poco es una de mis bandas favoritas de los ' 70. Gracias por compartir. Saludos desde la bahia de Tampa, Florida.
great live footage..wish I was there!
Love that song! 😃
Great freaking tune great performance
Thanks for all your Poco at the Maverick videos, pocolova. Very cool.
Great job, guys.
Not surprised. The whole Byrds-Buffalo-Loggins-McDonald-Skaggs gang seem to have ranchos in the neighborhood north of the Indian reservation. Not unusual to see them in Los Olivos or Santa Ynez.
Very perceptive !
Wonderful!
God I miss my 'Younger Days'....hey..great title for a song..! But I do..
Super talented band 🎵🎼🎶
This is one of my favorite songs to sing and it helps that I can sing in that higher range that Richie does.
I hope they film the whole Buffalo Springfield reunion and release a DVD or CD.
Richie's voice is forever imbedded in this Buffalo Springfield pressing forever!
This is Poco
I know it is Poco but this is a Buffalo Springfield Song (On The Way Home)Ritchie is singing..!
Fall on the floor GREATNESS.
STILL SO GREAT
Poco had/has best singers
The best ever...Poco...
TBS is a very excellent bass player!!!!!
Though we rush ahead to save our time
We are only what we feel
Young , Furay , Cotton , Tim B 🎶🎼🎵👍👍👍

Phil Hartman of SNL did the album cover on Legend album
Hey That is James Antunez on drums!
This moment captures an unqualified expression of Love from Rusty Young and Jimmy Messina for Richie Furay.
Beautiful!
Messina doesnt like Furay. Youre seeing what u want but then most of us do
@@lastnamefirst4035 How do you know that?

BELLISSIMO!!!
It's Neil's song...but this made me cry❤️
Buffalo Sprinfield. Wow!
grande Richie Furay!!
Too this day! Moving!
Love...
Don’t forget, Rusty Young and Paul Cotton, the driving force behind Poco. I didn’t see Timothy B Schmit there.
Timothy B. Schmit is not in this video
Where was Timothy, didn't see him.
Who needs Neil Young.
Timmy isn't here. It's still an excellent post. The biggest gaff they had was JM choking on the reunion "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" JM screwed up on Live TV. He was lost and it cost them a unch. The recocrd is one of my fav's.

the best
their name was from the steam roller company Buffalo Springfield
THIS ISNT BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD! BS was Stills, Furay and Young
I don’t see Timothy
Love i
Paul Cotton still has a beautiful voice though miss his youthful hair.
Heehee!! I bet Paul does too! He was simply gorgeous back in the day.
Still is.
to sokkmut who wrote here years ago, how about roger mcguinn joining these folks and maybe chris hillman. call em the survivors.
Mguinn and Hillman, the 2 evangelists and far right conservatives. Friends if pat robertson and 700 club where u can give money to support billionaires for jesus-no joke
Thanks for the information. Love their music not their politics.
Jack Sundrud on bass!
Agree mr ebelt
Agreed re: No Timothy B. Schmidt--thought maybe my eyes were worse than they are. Also I used to think of a pedal steel when I thought of Rusty Young. Any suggestions on some of that?
+Ed Halfen
not interested in tim schmidt. but rusty young played one of the best shows i ever saw. uofi. long ago.
"Call It Love" 1989, Rusty on guitar and lead vocal. A great tune.
And, no Tim.
This is MY idea of R n R!! :)
Ya, where's Timothy? He must've been playing bass behind the bar.
R.I.P M.M
Rusty, Richie, Jim, Paul Cotton but no Tim Schmidt. Who's playing drums and bass?
Don't forget the late great Paul Cotton....
gimme Messina.
Dang.....Timothy is looking old. Or else I'm getting old.
that's Rusty Young...not Timothy
Not Timothy B. no mention of Rusty Young???
Where was Timothy?
Is that Randy Misner playing Bass?
And question two what album did this tune appear on?
Thanks in advance.
Is that Rusty in the Live Simply shirt?
Jack Sundrud on bass.
Bass player not Timothy B. Schmidt, at least from what I can see...Irrespective, timeless music...
I think I caught a glimpse of him for a second....far right, way in the back. Kinda strange looking without the long hair.
@@nateburns3469 was not him
Timothy is not in video. Paul Cotton is.
they were pretty good once
*Looks around*... Where was Timothy B. Schmit in this video?
Where's Tim? Couldn't see (or hear) him!
+Stephen Reid Misslabled, neither Shmidt nor Randy Meisner here

Where is Timothy B. Schmit?
Hey, but Where's Timothy Schmidt? And who is who?
