I have stick usb recovery restore and it comes with the purchase of the laptop the microsoft ,it also requires to have at least 2 GB usb backup recovery restore ,and also it says to take the dell's usb port off after finishing then to restart take off the other required usb port and put your email then its recovery restored

However, if you would like to reset your laptop's operating system i mean windows then there are to option, one by keeping the user data and reset the settings, on the other hand removing the user data and reset the windows into factory setting like a brand-new machine. However, sometimes during resetting the windows could go wrong during the process , so it is always better to keep the data backed up into an external drive like USB pen drive or external hard drive before you proceed the OS recovery. It is very simple and easy to back up the data in another partition rather than the C Drive. Just take out the hard drive physically and connect it to a SATA to USB converter and plug in to a different pc to pull out all the data before you format the entire drive. I dont have the os recovery option there. Why is that? How do i get to it? My laptop wont boot on
Go to bios setup and you'll find the os recovery option.
Enable it , save it and then restart the pc and when you'll press F12, you'll find it.

Make sure there the bios is not password protected? Backup your data Before you do anything! Try to reinstall the windows is this is not working.
