After producing energy through photosynthesis, plants store it in the form of carbohydrates, which can be used later for growth, reproduction, and other metabolic processes. The energy is transported throughout the plant through the vascular system, which consists of xylem and phloem tissues. The xylem transports water and nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant, while the phloem transports sugars and other organic compounds from the leaves to the rest of the plant.
If there were no organism like human being & animal then also the plants can live ? Cz they also realease co2 so i think they can live.

what happens is that
-Plants store carbohydrate during the day for later breakdown of it at night.
-They do the breakdown of carbohydrate in glucose at night because they are busy doing photosynthesis during the day (mainly because sunlight is present during the day only).
-They breakdown carbohydrate by taking in oxygen and releasing CO2 (this happens at night).

Plants make sugars during the day via photosynthesis and store this as starch, a complex carbohydrate. This starch is then broken back down into sugar during the night. The rate of this degradation is perfectly timed so that the starch reserves are exhausted just after dawn
