I am an american, but i ran into carry on doctor one night late night. And i was hooked i own all 31 films i own all the docs that i know of i also have the christmas specials and Carry On did TV show also.Im obsessed with English comedy. Are you being served, keeping up apperances, open all hours.and several.I try to get my american friends to watch them but for some reason they dont understand them.why do i but they dont understand british comedy. And of course my all time fav is RED DWARF.boys from the Dwarf.
The library opposite the town hall was also used in Carry on up the jungle, Professor Tinkles ( Frankie Howerd ) lecture on birds . Also if you look at Filming Carry on Doctor in Maidenhead 1967 there's some great pictures and you can see the library also. 👍 My fav is Screaming , I met Fenella in 2013 and also was invited to the Bide A Wee ( house in the woods ) by the bursar , which is a college . Love the locations so keep it up chaps .
Very enjoyable video. In Carry on Camping 'no it has to be the bull' scene with Charles Hawtrey I think the girl leads the bull out of the entrance to Dromenagh Hall/Lady York Park. This has changed a lot but the large tree and layby in the distance is stil there. Not helped that the footage and frames beforehand were a couple of miles away in Black Park! The hippy disco scenes were Burnham Beeches again the scenes are cut in with footage from the Pinewood orchard. Sorry but I am one of those that think the turn in to the campsite was Dromenagh Farm which has changed beyond all recognition. You can see in the scenes with Terry Scott that land is very flat, not like Ways Farm. The big tree he sat next to is still there and before the car turns in you can see some of the buildings in the field, one was a wooden clubhouse. Many years ago a piece of the gateposts visible in the film was still there which I have a photo of. Ways Farm and Sauls Farm were used though.
The caravan at 3.20 with Kenneth Williams was substituted for the crash scene. The first one seen has two air vent grill panels on the side we see, above the blue stripe but the one we see in the aftermath of the crash has no grills.
I'm guessing the housing estate was new in the black and white films around the 6:30 mark, because the streets appear to be much cleaner and in better condition than they are today.
I will I was brought up with the carry on films ever since I was 12 or 13 and right now I’m 28 nearly into my 30’s my first movie was carry on constable 🇬🇧
Nice video and a trip down memory lane. Shame the guides can't wear little microphones so we can hear them better especially when they turn heads or with passing traffic.
Yes, sadly these were recorded around Ten years ago, where the tech wasnt available to the guides, these have been recently restored and re-edited, we did try to enhance this, but sadly failed
Another location you forgot was another carry on cabby location was the Scene of turning onto Aldershot road which was Ashford road/ thornbridge road just head away from pinewood Green also To mention Sid James had a summer home not far from the pinewood green locations
@@ReelFilmProductions I noticed the girl going past the window in Carry on camping and then, when they took another view, she was back to where she started. It's called continuity!!!
Interesting question, but when we was filming this a resident came out to us and told us to stop filming, he obviously had no right too as we were in public and there is no privacy in public. After we chatted to him calmly he said we had enough of Camera crews round here in the day... I assuming Carry On being Carry On they didn't get paid
I love Charles Hawtrey but he wasn't treated very well was he. Poor sweet man. So what if he was bad tempered and called people peasants. That was just part of his natural campiness. It would have been hilarious to be insulted by Charley.
We do watch everything before we post our videos, as in the description for the video, it tells you why the audio was so bad, please read before posting? Just a thought...
The greatest gift the

is structured, clever
and insightful silliness.
I love locations. Then and now stuff fascinates me.
Nice to see the locations from the carry ons are still in existence decades after the last movie was released.

Good for you Clinton and btw US comedy is pretty good too.

Love the carry on films. I'd love to go to these locations, but you have done a great job !!!! Well done !

Thank you so much. I absolutely love carrying on camping. Thank you both for your time in making this video.
I live on Pinewood Green, so good to see nostalgia carry on films and the great actors were once walking around here....
Fantastic trip down memory lane

Having lived in Windsor from 60's to late 70's & know the surounding areas well,so i Enjoyed that very much, thank you.Subbed.
So glad I found you again great content
Brilliant video, I actually live in Iver.
The modern building opposite Maidenhead town hall is the Library. It replaced the old library, not a church.
Thanks for the clarification, we didn't know this 100% it was an educated guess at the time
Fantastic. Pinewood close looks very expensive

Great work i enjoyed this & all the carry on & on the Buses films etc, . Liked & a new sub 👍
Carry on at your convenience was also filmed on Pinewood Green .
Brilliant thank you for doing this upload
Crackin video great see all locations past present Carry on films Welcome to paradise Lug boggle. Great stuff
You should have somehow worked the " he's gone for a P " gag in when at the entrance to Paradise camp
2024! The house that terry scott went to was also used in the sweeney
Any scope for future location videos from the CO series?
Is the 'hospital' the same building seen in the Endeavour episode 'Lazaretto' depicting Cowley General? The entrance looks identical.
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
The guy doing the narration seems pleasant chap.🙏
Great idea lad's! Shame about the audio in places, but well done all the same!
The Audio was the only issue, these were made in 2009 and did not have the technology then. We did clean the audio track a bit, but sadly was beaten 😕
Carry on Dick was filmed in Stoke Poges , not far from Pinewood.
Did you used to have another youtube channel, I remember watching this a few years ago. Great stuff 👍
Yes, this is a re edited version of the original as we now have better technology to produce a better film
Another location you forgot was another carry on cabby location was the Scene of turning onto Aldershot road which was Ashford road/ thornbridge road just head away from pinewood Green also To mention Sid James had a summer home not far from the pinewood green locations
Ah great stuff, we had a limited amount of time to do that day
This is great, are you planning anymore
Several are being planned, we have a few non carry on ones coming out, featuring many from around Elstree, they are currently in production
Brilliant boys!!
Yes, I noticed that too.
Noticed what lol

@@andreamacgillivray8380 We know all about continuity, Carry ons we're laden with them
I think Wales as the furthest they ever ventured for location filming over to the very tight bugets
Correct, for Up the Khyber
Just subbed your channel.
Seems quite good. Keep it up 👍
Thanks
Brilliant!
1:00 is Waddeson Aylesbury
Waddesdon Manor is beautiful, we have been there, exactly the same as when the team visited in 1966
@@ReelFilmProductions I've just booked tickets for their Christmas Lights, very sad i know!
@@ralphthebulldog5163 I went last year, not sad at all it was great
Great stuff
Do the residents of Pinewood Green get paid a bung to keep out of the way when filming goes on? How much to use a house?

Great video 👍
Thanks 👍
Amazing

Rubbish spound on the narration! Sorry guys - maybe watch your video before you post it? just a thought...
