I just purchased the Silhouette Business Edition through your affiliate link and it was 49.00. I almost purchased it through the Silhouette store but my card wouldn't work. God must be on my side this linked saved me 50.00.
I absolutely loved this video, Marilyn. I've had the business edition since March 2023 and haven't learned how to use it. I will rewatch this video while I am creating outlines for SVG patches. PS: I watched the ads during this video. ~ Gayle Designs
Thanks so much Marilyn for always giving your time to share your creativity with us. I love your content…I’ve learned so much from you already. Keep sharing.❤❤❤
Marilyn you did a great job explaining the process. I was having a very hard time understanding Silhouette designs. I have the business edition and have a cricut for cutting. I feel I have a much better understanding of the process. Thank you so much.
Marilyn, thank you for a very informative video! I am on my way to Rhinestoning as I've followed your instructions and have upgraded to Silhouette Business Edition. Now to order my supplies and try my hand at a t-shirt.
You're welcome. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching!!! Also, I received a notification of someone purchasing it, so thank you so much for using the link. I really do appreciate it.
Hi Marilyn! This was a great video. Your pace in teaching is always perfect! I always learn something from your videos & enjoy watching you craft. Have a blessed day. ❤️❤️
Hello Marilyn! Thank you for this video. it was just what I needed today. You make what I thought was difficult to learn how to do so easy to follow and now I feel confident to try.
The camera is not doing much justice, because i know for a fact that, that A/B rhinestone color looks amazing in person. I know that design you did, the pink with the a/b, looks really cute in person. Next time bring it outside in the sun or daytime light and video it, so your viewers can see how beautiful it looks. Thanks alot, i realt learned from this tutorial
Are you asking about cutting the rhinestone flock on the Cricut? If so, I use a pressure of 340. For the HTV layer, I would be sure to mirror that part of the design.
Cricut Design Space does not have a rhinestone design feature, so you have to either bring designs in or you would have to place each circle by hand to design something. Thank you for watching!
Hi Marilyn- hope all is well, tried your video most everything went well except when I got to cricut to make it (Linda) the L in Linda on the HTV panel is separate even though it was included in the group. What could I be doing wrong?
When you bring your design into Cricut, select all of the HTV parts and "attach" them. That way, they will cut exactly how you see them on the screen. Toward the bottom right, go to "combine" and then select "attach." Let me know if that helps.
Hi Marilyn I kinda wished you would have shown what the hello design would look when you get ready to print it in design center. For some reason when I print out the word in htv, the capital letter is spaced away from the other part of the word so it's wider than the rhinestone outline even though I grouped everything together like you did. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
In my example, I ended up moving the stones and the solid part of the H over to the right and I deleted the word that I had moved to the side to reserve since it was no longer the correct size. Is that possibly why your capital letter is too far over?
Yes. You save your designs as SVG images and then upload them into Cricut. You do have to check the size when it comes into Cricut, though, and resize it back to the intended size. I think I have a short 3 or 4 minute video on that. But for a very long time, I designed in Silhouette but only cut on my Cricut. I didn't own a Silhouette machine at the time.
I am almost in tears and want to quit Rhinestoneing before I start. I cannot get the flock to cut right, I have tried so many different settings. I even messaged the shop I purchased the flock from and she told me the settings she used. I tried and at first it did not cut all the dots. so ran it through again with Less pressure and it tore up my flock. I am over it :(
I'm so sorry. Getting to the settings that work for you is one of the hardest parts of rhinestoneing. What brand of flock are you using and what cutting machine are you using?

just re-read your earlier comment about selecting all the htv parts in design center. When exactly does that step occur?
What comment are you talking about? You would have to select them all and then attach them so they cut out exactly like you see them on the screen.

Good morning, Sandra!!!
wow. this is so cute. I need one of these shirts...so cute. I love it
Thank you so much!!!
Great tutorial. How do you create a border around words without each letter outlined.?
If I am understanding the question correctly, you do a larger offset and then use the rhinestone feature on it.
I absolutely love this video Marilyn, thank you!

Are you asking about cutting the rhinestone flock on the Cricut? If so, I use a pressure of 340. For the HTV layer, I would be sure to mirror that part of the design.
Actually I was wondering how to transfer rhinestones template and flock to the cricut so I can cut it. I don't have a cameo.
Thanks@@MakingwithMarilyn

Thanks RUG'l!!!
my question is I can you use Cricut design space for rhinestone bling I love your art it is beautiful
Cricut Design Space does not have a rhinestone design feature, so you have to either bring designs in or you would have to place each circle by hand to design something. Thank you for watching!

I dont get it. Htv is heated at 300 and rhinestone is heated at 350. How is the htv not melting
Great question. The rhinestones are taller, so the platen isn't coming into contact with the HTV. Thanks for watching!
Great video!

Hello Marilyn, is the silhouette business edition compatible with Cricut for cutting templates
Yes. You save your designs as SVG images and then upload them into Cricut. You do have to check the size when it comes into Cricut, though, and resize it back to the intended size.
