In Norse mythology Loki is not good or evil. That's the thing about it, he is self-serving. He will say or do whatever needs to be done. He is very much like the marvel comics depiction of Loki as well. There are things to like about him, which is why his brother Thor always had a soft spot for him, but at his heart, he is a trickster. He can never fully be trusted. He is the god of MISRULE, so he would be against any kind of organization that is over him. The downside is, he himself can never be a king. Because the god of misrule cannot actually rule. The bottom line is, Luffy and his boys should never fully trust Loki. They are definitely making a mistake in freeing him. however since this is a story about prophecies etc, everything is inevitable. About the hidden base in udon…The base has probably been there for a while and we have to remember that the samurai population isn’t as large as the remnants of Kaido/orochis remaining men. So the manpower for searching wano, protecting the castle/public peace is spread thin. Also the size of udon is the size of a country so it would take longer than a month ( which has passed since the raid) to search every place in wano for bases.
Loki been chompin on that Aura-Aura fruit imo. Guy is becoming more badass, mysterious, likable and just generally awesome every single panel he pops up in. With the OP world being destroyed twice before, and there being 2 different silhouette type versions of Nika, and the fact that most giants said he's either God of Liberation or Destruction (I think both probably were also God of Laughter as a common theme). It just makes sense that there were 2 different Sun God Nika's at different times. Not at the same time. For example, the OP world got destroyed 2000 years ago (im just spit balling here), and then the Sun God Nika of Liberation showed up and changed the world for the better. Then, 1000 years ago or so around the time before or during the void century. Another Sun God Nika appeared right at the time that the world was going through great change again. But this time he didn't liberate. This time he brought destruction and changed the OP world for the worse.... Which is how the WG gained control or something...

I had a theory that the Nika Fruit manifests differently depending on the user! Nika fought with a Sword and Shield (His fighting Style), I am not sure about Joyboy but he had a different style and I believe it became “Rubber” because Luffy was a child when he ate the fruit. Kids naturally bounce back and their bones are softer until they get older. If Gear 5 or Awakening allows the user freedom, I believe it changes on who ate it. I think this goes back with Vegapunk mentioning how there is no records of a Rubber fruit, meaning probably no one had those properties until Luffy came out. just my theory!

Hearing this stuff from this chapter makes me think about how God in the Bible would occasionally reset the world with floods, plagues, meteor showers, and other biblical events. Also remember that the Asgardian Loki was the Christian equivalent of the devil. What many people forget is that the devil had full knowledge about the word of God and the bible. I think Elbaf is a short chapter bcuz of the underline reason the storyteller guy was saying...about not being able to stay long...hence the pace.....luffy probably finds out about Garp and rides out to war with giants (including loki) to pirate island after the mini elbaf plots are resolved. Feels like Loki heard all this stuff about Loki and is trying to be like nika because it's easier for him to cause mischief and destruction while laughing. And thinks of it as a form of liberation. But he's heard all this and can be influenced. Unlike Luffy who without actually trying goes to so many places causes destruction which liberates people while laughing, it more natural for Luffy who hasn't ever heard of nika yet embodies him.

Feels like, this is where VegaPunk failed to theorize that there was no Gum-Gum Fruit as it could have been in Gaint's occupancy for generations, that means it's there for atleast a millenia and it couldn't have been in the DF book. Oda, I think, is once again playing with the classic trope of presumed Joyboy vs actual Joyboy theme, as were the case with Kaido. Only in this case, Loki has eaten the Gum-Gum fruit and thinks he is the Sun God coz there is literally no difference without telling for the rubber powers. For the case of God of Destruction/Liberation, imho, we shouldn't take any words from Gaints, as they literally have the room-temp IQ, not shaming them or anything (remember the cause of Dorry-Borry's Duel and Oimo-Kashi being stuck on Enies lobby). Now, for the most part, Loki is another example of good guy being framed as evil/bad. Sure, he's done mischievous things as a Kid, but so was Oden and he did some things that were much worse that Loki's. Why he killed harald tho, could be something related to how Mother Caramel was able to smoothly operate child trafficking in Elbaph, while being in the Sun Realm and Loki at one point could've caught Harold red-handed and wasn't able to take the betrayal.
I think the giants have no idea that a Nika fruit even exists, because they haven't quite pieced together that Luffy has it, they just mention Luffy G5 resembles Nika but none of them has even mentioned the DF. we've all been thinking than Loki calls himself the Sun God because of the fruit he took from his father but this chapter revealed that, even tho Loki ate that fruit already and that the giants have seen Luffy G5 (in person/bounty poster), they STILL dream of becoming the Sun God, so there has to be something aside from a DF in their lore that makes them believe that at any point in their lives they can become Nika

Every chapter that goes by, the more it becomes obvious that this hidden figure is not Shanks. Oda intentionally hides the left side of his face and his left arm, and he also put his sword on the right side of his body. Pre Time-Skip, Shanks used to put his sword on the right side of his body as well, but this was retconned in Elbaph, as we can see that Shanks is now putting his sword on the left side of his body, which could be another foreshadow that this man is not Shanks. Furthermore, I have a theory that the hooded Shanks that showed up in the Reverie was indeed the real Shanks. He got special treatment, like Doflamingo, because he is from Celestial Dragon’s herritage, and because he is a Yonko, and is probably stronger than the Gorosei (he got the same treatment from Sengoku in Marineford). The way Shanks talked respectfully to the Gorosei, in contrast of how disrespectfully Garling talked to the Gorosei when he was appointed as a new Gorosei, could be another hint that Shanks was indeed in the Reverie, but the Holy Knight in Elbaph is NOT Shanks, and Oda gave long hoods to both of them to mess with our mind and create even more mystery around Shanks and his family.

About the hidden base in udon…The base has probably been there for a while and we have to remember that the samurai population isn’t as large as the remnants of Kaido/orochis remaining men. So the manpower for searching wano, protecting the castle/public peace is spread thin. Also the size of udon is the size of a country so it would take longer than a month ( which has passed since the raid) to search every place in wano for bases.
Loki been chompin on that Aura-Aura fruit imo. Guy is becoming more badass, mysterious, likable and just generally awesome every single panel he pops up in. Don't care if he's a good guy or bad guy or crazy chaotic flip-flop like the real Loki in the end, or how goofy or weird his fruit might end up being, or if his eyes end up looking stupid or any of that, it'll be hard as hell to make him NOT one of my favorite characters at the rate this is going.

I feel like Loki is playing the villain in order to save Elbaph from the World Govt. This seems like a similar situation to Sabo and Cobra where Loki may have witnessed the death of the King and is being used as the scapegoat. In true Loki fashion he leans in to the villain role but could show his true colors after he is released.

With the OP world being destroyed twice before, and there being 2 different silhouette type versions of Nika, and the fact that most giants said he's either God of Liberation or Destruction (I think both probably were also God of Laughter as a common theme). It just makes sense that there were 2 different Sun God Nika's at different times. Not at the same time. For example, the OP world got destroyed 2000 years ago (im just spit balling here), and then the Sun God Nika of Liberation showed up and changed the world for the better. Then, 1000 years ago or so around the time before or during the void century. Another Sun God Nika appeared right at the time that the world was going through great change again. But this time he didn't liberate. This time he brought destruction and changed the OP world for the worse.... Which is how the WG gained control or something...

I had a theory that the Nika Fruit manifests differently depending on the user! Nika fought with a Sword and Shield (His fighting Style), I am not sure about Joyboy but he had a different style and I believe it became “Rubber” because Luffy was a child when he ate the fruit. Kids naturally bounce back and their bones are softer until they get older.
If Gear 5 or Awakening allows the user freedom, I believe it changes on who ate it. I think this goes back with Vegapunk mentioning how there is no records of a Rubber fruit, meaning probably no one had those properties until Luffy came out.

So I like hidden Islands theory about imu being possessed by the literal devil in one piece. Hearing this stuff from this chapter makes me think about how God in the Bible would occasionally reset the world with floods, plagues, meteor showers, and other biblical events. In short, these resets are like Sodom and Gomorrah type events when the world gets too far gone
Also remember that the Asgardian Loki was the Christian equivalent of the devil. What many people forget is that the devil had full knowledge about the word of God and the bible. He knew the scriptures. As a matter of fact that's what made him so deadly when it came to shaking the faith of his human victims. So Loki is most likely not lying to the straw hats. Whatever tell that he is telling them, is what happened. However he can be leaving out certain parts as a trickster God would.
I think Elbaf is a short chapter bcuz of the underline reason the storyteller guy was saying...about not being able to stay long...hence the pace.....luffy probably finds out about Garp and rides out to war with giants (including loki) to pirate island after the mini elbaf plots are resolved. Major antogonist is the world gov by now...not any giant tbh
Luffy destroyed Arlong Park, Enies Lobby, 1/2 Noah, Egghead, Onigashima, Whole Cake Chateau and more like Doflamingo's society, Baroque Works, Ceaser's Lab, Orochi's wano, the human trade shop. Luffy is already a god of liberation and destruction.

Feels like Loki heard all this stuff about Loki and is trying to be like nika because it's easier for him to cause mischief and destruction while laughing. And thinks of it as a form of liberation. But he's heard all this and can be influenced. Unlike Luffy who without actually trying goes to so many places causes destruction which liberates people while laughing, it more natural for Luffy who hasn't ever heard of nika yet embodies him.
Remember Who's Who was a former Cipher pol agent so he knows how to be stealthy and stay hidden. Probably had a contingency plan

For the case of God of Destruction/Liberation, imho, we shouldn't take any words from Gaints, as they literally have the room-temp IQ, not shaming them or anything (remember the cause of Dorry-Borry's Duel and Oimo-Kashi being stuck on Enies lobby).
Now, for the most part, Loki is another example of good guy being framed as evil/bad. Sure, he's done mischievous things as a Kid, but so was Oden and he did some things that were much worse that Loki's. Why he killed harald tho, could be something related to how Mother Caramel was able to smoothly operate child trafficking in Elbaph, while being in the Sun Realm and Loki at one point could've caught Harold red-handed and wasn't able to take the betrayal.
I think the giants have no idea that a Nika fruit even exists, because they haven't quite pieced together that Luffy has it, they just mention Luffy G5 resembles Nika but none of them has even mentioned the DF. we've all been thinking than Loki calls himself the Sun God because of the fruit he took from his father but this chapter revealed that, even tho Loki ate that fruit already and that the giants have seen Luffy G5 (in person/bounty poster), they STILL dream of becoming the Sun God, so there has to be something aside from a DF in their lore that makes them believe that at any point in their lives they can become Nika
In a way it seems like he could of acted out because his views on how he feels the giants have fallen from their warrior pride. Plus probably didn't like the idea of being apart of the world government. Shanks could of put loki back at elbaf for its own protection in the future
I’m calling it. There is going to be a dark nika and a light nika, and they need to be fused to get the full nika. Blackbeard taking WBs was to set it up that there was a way to get more than 1 for this reason.

Nah it’s a perception thing. I believe the god of destruction narrative is solely from the celestial dragons point of view or the point of view of corrupt people in power
the prophecy maybe a secondary ability of the owl seeing the bigger picture aka the future or maybe it comes from the OP answer to the Norse Norns.

Loki seems like a good guy who has been misjudged.
Every chapter that goes by, the more it becomes obvious that this hidden figure is not Shanks. Oda intentionally hides the left side of his face and his left arm, and he also put his sword on the right side of his body. Pre Time-Skip, Shanks used to put his sword on the right side of his body as well, but this was retconned in Elbaph, as we can see that Shanks is now putting his sword on the left side of his body, which could be another foreshadow that this man is not Shanks.
Furthermore, I have a theory that the hooded Shanks that showed up in the Reverie was indeed the real Shanks. He got special treatment, like Doflamingo, because he is from Celestial Dragon’s herritage, and because he is a Yonko, and is probably stronger than the Gorosei (he got the same treatment from Sengoku in Marineford). The way Shanks talked respectfully to the Gorosei, in contrast of how disrespectfully Garling talked to the Gorosei when he was appointed as a new Gorosei, could be another hint that Shanks was indeed in the Reverie, but the Holy Knight in Elbaph is NOT Shanks, and Oda gave long hoods to both of them to mess with our mind and create even more mystery around Shanks and his family.
