you just made the best video I've seen in years! I'm living that live for 8 years now and it changed everything fundamentally! Thanks mate for bringing it out!
I'm a 3D Character Artist and I did the same 3 years ago. A lot of us sit for so many hours and almost no one talks about this subject. I do intermittent fasting along with strict keto, but I like to workout right after morning coffee. I also wait an hour after waking up for coffee because you need to clear some of the sleep chems your body produces or the caffeine can bind to them. I follow no sugar, no seed oils, no processed foods and all whole foods. Lost 100 lbs in the first 8 months. I also prioritize sleep! Being retired military I had to work at it for a while but it's life changing.
Right, and like I said in Nikita's video, people realize that this is actual work. Even with all the addons/plugins, both free and paid ones, you will still spend hours on getting things done and done the right way. They are looking for that Staples "Easy" button; "one press and I'm done so pay me a gazillon dollars" type of attitude. Other factors need to be addressed, as you and Josh had mentioned, before we do anything, including in 3D work.
Well outside the "evolving" part, you're spot on with this and on time as well. Nikita Kapustin just put out a 6-hour free course on "Plasticity" a couple days back, but it wasn't all on "Plasticity." He had a section called "Mindset Training" where he teaches on how should your mind be when it comes to anything but mainly on working in the 3D industry. I wrote to him saying that "Mindset Training" part should be a masterclass on how it's more to it than just 3D work. And now your video just enhanced his talking points (he didn't address the healthy parts, lol). And the reason I said your video is "on time" because a member of me church....just out of the blue....gave me the funds to get "Plasticity". So in combo with Nikita and you, I will be unstoppable when it comes to 3D modeling. Thank you so so much for this video...really helped out.
I had like a 1-2 year period in my life when I stopped drinking processed drinks and only drank water and tea from time to time. After those 2 years trying to drink soda was an absolutely atrocious experience, it felt like drinking liquified candy and my whole mouth and throat would become uncomfortably sticky...
I got into fasting two years ago, did a 5-day water fasting twice and 2-3 days multiple times. I can confirm the health benefits from first hand experience.
Haha you start your day just like me. Only difference is I drink a big glass of water first thing. Coffee later. Eat about 12 - 1pm and that is always a fruit smoothie. Whole lemon seeds skin everything and a banana (no skin lol) apple and a teaspoon of honey. Add water and you got a ph balancing battery drink. eat again about 7 hrs later maybe fish and some vedges. If i get takeaways its fish and chips, or a salad burger from BK. Spinach and blue cheese pies are the real treat thou :). Tai chi or stretches every other day. Great vid.
sunlight; meditation; daily training (mobility, cardio, strength, resistance); day work, then night work; IF; fasting; clean clean diet; 4L+ of water; outdoor movement (hiking, rucking, mtb biking); family n friends; prayer; and 7hrs nightly rest. zero alcohol. #disciplineisfreedom
Thanks for sharing! Love your content. About the breakfast part I heard that not eating might increase the chances of diabetes(something like sudden rise or drop of blood sugar causes that) But I am no health professionals so you might want to look up more, just my two cents
There are about as many neurons in our guts as there are in our brains. Obviously that doesn't mean we have a second, secret food brain, but it does support the idea that what, when, and how we eat can have dramatic impact on cognition, because those gut neurons do talk to the central nervous system in our heads. Good on you for eating better and thinking more clearly!
9:48 and energy levels kinda limit how deep you can go into a subject, like it will be infinitely harder to think about some complex geometry when your processing power and visualisation is compromised, so it limits your potential.
love this kind of videos, and want to add a personal one: stay away from infinite instagram scrolling, or tiktok brainrotting, that kind of stuff was taking away a lot of my time
Working out and fasting does help out a lot and you encourage others as well to get in shape. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months and workout at home. I gained muscle size and strength at 44. It's worth it folks.
Cultura Profética says "enough of the rush...moments of leisure are necessary for creativity, this is how magic is made, this is how life is created." Most creative work is formed in the mind, in the thinking moments. The practic part is simple. Working with 3D programs is easy. mastering blender, maya, unreal, 3d max...it's easy. The difficult thing is to have ideas. If you prioritize only the operational part...and the ideas are not yours, you are nothing more than a technician. a program operator. a driver
I found your last point extremely tone deaf. There is absolutely financial systemic inequality at play, people are not poor because it's their fault and the fact that someone in a poorer country can be successful doesn't mean that everyone for whom that price is financially inaccessible is playing victim. A ton of people in America are one emergency bill away from poverty and it's not because they didn't try hard enough. You could've made the same exact point of "make the best out of a crappy situation and work within what you have access to instead of giving up and complaining" without blaming poor people for being poor.
Let me remind you that a lot of Blender add-ons cost around $50-100, a lot more if you live in a country with a dollar that's not worth a lot compared to USD. A lot of people downloaded Blender because it was free and because they can't afford other 3D modelling programs. 3D modelling is objectively the most accessible it's ever been, but don't act like people who can't afford to drop that money on Blender add-ons are 100% the solely responsible for not being able to give more money to a hobby that's likely making them no income at all. I'm not saying people are somehow entitled to these add-ons because they can't afford them, I'm not even saying prices should be lower for these add-ons, I just hate the way that you framed this as blaming people for not having enough money like it's their fault. People are born rich too, you know, and they're not responsible for that either because they didn't have to do anything. That whole segment rubbed me the wrong way.
Actual doctor recommendation is to not eat red meat more than 2 to 3 times a month. The rest of the month you should be eating chicken/fish (light protiens).
I will be ignoring the advice from the overweight doctor not taking his own advice and citing outdated medical literature. They also say eggs are bad because of cholesterol, which has been proven false.
I stopped eating red meat along time ago. i take no supplements. The only meat I eat is fish and only white fleshed. I never get ill, infact I have not seen my doctor in so long I don't remember his face or name or if he is even still alive. If i get a cut or something, I heal so fast it is scary.

100 lbs, h shit, that's a heavy commitment, 12.5 pounds per month is insane

yeah we should all blame the poor for not having enough money, because it's somehow their fault.
