As soon as I saw the ads for Moana I was so taken with her. She is such a beautiful doll. If I ever get her, I’ll probably make her into a new character, too. She makes a great Rozonda! I was more of a Y2K kid than a 90s kid (born in ‘94), so I was more into the Backstreet Boys, but I did love TLC when I was little. The outfit you put together for her just screams 90s in the best way. My mom would never let me wear my overalls like that, but I always wanted to. 😂

TLC and Chilli are some band that I have never heard about. I AM a lot older than most of you and I have always preferred music from before my own time , so it shouldn't really surprise me. 😂😂. I wonder how the customs people make the decision. She may have been described as having a grass skirt and shell necklace, and it might be based on a misunderstanding in that way. Quebec forbids selling products where French is either not featured or English is written in larger font than French. Or maybe AG wants to prioritize Americans for this special release (new movie). @@DisBlaine I had a flood in my basement some years back and I lost a lot of AG items that were stored there. I have replaced some major pieces but not all the clothing. Over time I am also discovering new things I want more so I will let it happen as it will.

Your Tiana that's in the blue and white nightie (I have it but I'm blanking out on whose it is!) is darling with her hair in bunches. Do you have the Disney Animator Tiana? They are about 15-16 inches tall and depict the princesses (or other characters) as little girls. If you are interested you should look for one because they are adorable and now you know why my doll room is full!

She’s definitely too dark for Jasmine (she’s even darker than the official Jasmine doll) and I found someone local who wants to buy the outift and box, so I think I’ll let go of all the Disney parts of the dolls
I wonder if AG is entering into talks/has signed another contract with a store chain in Canada that takes effect in 2025 or something and it includes not shipping xyz to Canada? Or maybe it's something about the specific Disney license?

It's like seam tape to hem the bottom so they are like shorts... It's an alternative to sewing it like peels off and then you stick it to itself and it stays really well It bonds the fabric I think you might need an iron or some sort of heat to get it to fully bond but you might not either I can't remember for sure.

@DisBlaine it was my grandma on my mom's side. My mom also had polio and was partially paralyzed on her right side so she had to use her left hand. My grandma would tell my mom she couldn't do anything because she only had one good hand. Mom proved her wrong over over again.

Basically they're starting to charge disabled people for access passes instead of allowing us to have the das pass.

It's sad. If you want to hear more about how it works TikTok and Instagram if you search das pass you'll find out more stories of people who have spent thousands to go and You can't apply for the das pass until you're there so you don't know that your park trip is going to be cut short because People applied for it for good reason because we can't wait in lines. It's sad at this point I couldn't do Disney... It's a huge expense and to make that kind of a payment for a trip that I'm not even sure I'd be able to participate in it's really sad.

I’m gonna go pick my Moana out in LA. I think I’ll keep her as Moana but your restyle has me tempted to try other outfits on her. You can always try an outift on and then change her back. You may love her new look and then feel like she’s brand new when you put back on her meet outfit.

As soon as I saw the ads for Moana I was so taken with her. She is such a beautiful doll. If I ever get her, I’ll probably make her into a new character, too. She makes a great Rozonda! I was more of a Y2K kid than a 90s kid (born in ‘94), so I was more into the Backstreet Boys, but I did love TLC when I was little.
The outfit you put together for her just screams 90s in the best way. My mom would never let me wear my overalls like that, but I always wanted to. 😂

@@crashsfm6881 it’s funny about MH: they’re exactly my type of doll. A touch of spooky with clever puns and nods to horror. I’ve always enjoyed them and purchased a few as gifts, but I’ve never felt the need to collect them. Even as I’m typing this I can’t put my finger on why.
And I’m glad the Skullector series is so impossible to collect because otherwise I probably would!

I think I never got into MH because of timing. I wasn’t the right age when they came out, and I was into deeper horror (living dead dolls, Chucky) and the horror community went wild for them, making me worry I would abandon my Ldd collection too 🤣

I wonder how the customs people make the decision. She may have been described as having a grass skirt and shell necklace, and it might be based on a misunderstanding in that way. But you are right, usually it is a little thing like the feather in Addy's snood, that sort of thing.

As for customs, I forgot to mention it might be a language problem. Quebec forbids selling products where French is either not featured or English is written in larger font than French. Or maybe AG wants to prioritize Americans for this special release (new movie).

@@DisBlaine I had a flood in my basement some years back and I lost a lot of AG items that were stored there. I have replaced some major pieces but not all the clothing. Over time I am also discovering new things I want more so I will let it happen as it will.

Your Tiana that's in the blue and white nightie (I have it but I'm blanking out on whose it is!) is darling with her hair in bunches. Do you have the Disney Animator Tiana? They are about 15-16 inches tall and depict the princesses (or other characters) as little girls. If you are interested you should look for one because they are adorable and now you know why my doll room is full!

I definitely remember TLC, but didn’t remember the group members’ names! I was a toddler in 1992. 😅 Didn’t listen to them until the Waterfalls era and even then I paid more attention to Destiny’s Child and Brandy. BUT I love your redressed Moana. She’s such a gorgeous doll. I’m not wildly attached to the Moana character, but could definitely see myself getting this doll as a different character. I actually like her better than Corinne. Are you going to get a second to make into Jasmine? I know you mentioned wanting a darker Corinne for that.

She’s definitely too dark for Jasmine (she’s even darker than the official Jasmine doll) and I found someone local who wants to buy the outift and box, so I think I’ll let go of all the Disney parts of the dolls

@@directionroxmysox it’s hard to say, because indigo didn’t get certain items either - especially at the end there. I think there are certain things they want to keep in American to be more exclusive or something (limited edition etc)

It's like seam tape to hem the bottom so they are like shorts... It's an alternative to sewing it like peels off and then you stick it to itself and it stays really well It bonds the fabric I think you might need an iron or some sort of heat to get it to fully bond but you might not either I can't remember for sure.

@@kerrysmiles no! How can they justify that?? I feel like everyone would be upset by that kind of ableism. We really are going backward right now. I hope people are outraged enough to speak up.
@DisBlaine A lot of disabled folks have been speaking up about it on TikTok and Instagram and Facebook I think... Unfortunately it's mostly us speaking up and our community boycotting... You're welcome to ally with the community if you'd like 🍓
I think Disney normally caves to pressure so if enough people speak out at least even if you don't fully boycott even speaking out to Disney saying you're disappointed. It's sad. If you want to hear more about how it works TikTok and Instagram if you search das pass you'll find out more stories of people who have spent thousands to go and You can't apply for the das pass until you're there so you don't know that your park trip is going to be cut short because People applied for it for good reason because we can't wait in lines. It's sad at this point I couldn't do Disney... It's a huge expense and to make that kind of a payment for a trip that I'm not even sure I'd be able to participate in it's really sad.
