They are great games all games have problems sure I stopped playing about a year ago just before the release of the first dlc with a combined 3500 hours of game play in all 3 games I stopped to simply play other games but I still watch legend of every day and other creators aswell they really deserve the support and I think it will be a sad day once it’s all released and done with
This battle could have been its own DLC in Vermintide or something, a constant flow of zombies and undeads with the cities defenders huddled in the last corner hoping they dont run out of gunpowder before the undead overrun them, god damn. Defo atleast an 8 on the difficulty scale if not a 9, very close to getting overrun a few times, but didnt require tons of cheese or a 90 minute running in circles picking off weak enemies strategies at least.
34:30 Skarbrand casually walking by the empire on turn 54 lol that sounds like a problem to deal with in a couple of turns. The siege was nuts btw, I consider myself very fast of fingers, but it just looks unreal to micro that much.
@@toddblankenship7164 I think he has a good few videos where he actually lost. It's not about losing or winning anyway. It's about doing the most amount of damage without suffering damage yourself so you can sweep up.
There is a mod that lets units in the second line aim are allowed a bit lower over the heads of friendly units (so gun units won't stop firing when enemies clash with your frontline). It's quite hilarious and on brand for Skaven, but can also cause some "incidents" with Dwarf flamethrower units, if you forget that units are a bit more trigger happy with that mod.
I thought 8 or 9. A lot of times the real battle is recognizing what the correct tactics are, and once you do the actual execution of the plan isn't so bad. This wasn't one of those.
great battle - its still inspiring to see how well an army performs when properly utilized. baiting hero and lords into a trap, funnelling spread thin units of infantry into gunfire, hindering cav with partially covered infantry, kicking vlad out of the capture point... certainly learned a good chuck from that battle. cheers mate, hope you'll have a good 2025.
I rarely watch entire battles, this one was very interesting. I liked the idea of baiting the characters into a goon squad including cavalry. I would have tried to lure them into the long rifles, but that would have been a waste of ammo probably, also not sure if accuracy would have been sufficient to get them fast enough.
I dont really play much WH Total war, but man do I enjoy watching these videos. Between the wow factor and learning? Gives me the itch to play, one day it'll itch bad enough :)
@@squashiejoshie200000 yeah, took me long enough to learn it. Def need to specialize with the armies you field, lmao at 5 units of melee infantry, when you literally have tanks at your disposal 🧑🏻🔬
Exciting to see a siege battle, and I will have to remember that kill hallway for future fights. A good show, and I rate a 8.5, not something I would have been able to do myself!
I think the casualties were friendly fire on the land ship from the guns and maybe the knights from the rockets not sure. yeah very difficult battle probably 8.5
Its amazing to see you again and again pulling rabbits out of your hat. some battles look very easy played by you, that actually arnt easy. thx for the great content :)
My rating system for a Legend battle goes like this 1-3 = No damage, little micro, no distractions, easy. 4-6 = Little damage, fair amount of micro, got caught distracted 1ce or 2ce, medium. 7-9 = Lots of damage, lots of micro, got caught a lot of times distracted, very hard. 10 = failed the battles any amount of times, F**king BRUTAL! I think this one was a 6 for Legend to handle would prolly be higher for many others that play I think. Fun Stuff!
I think 8/10 battle difficulty is accurate. Those single entities that were coming in from time to time were surely annoying and catching Vlad and the others before they reach the backline wasn't easy as well I imagine.
Loving the rating system, and getting two wildly different battles was good. This situation looks pretty fucked, all the vampire armies and then skarbrand just hangin out in averland.
That is probably the hardest battle I've seen out of you. There have been longer battles, but those are cheese kite fests and don't require the level of stressful microing and snap decision you had to make here.
Is there a reason why legend didnt use the carmine dragons laser on some of ghe single entities he was deleting? Like that one hero/ lord that was running around after all the others were dead, that one was on foot so couldve safely bewn Lasered for example
He probably just forgot, since most Dragon Breaths aren't very good against single entities (and legend generally doesn't seem to like Dragon Breaths much)
If you fire coruscating blast, but then cast a spell at the 1 tick on the countdown while the animation is on, you can usually fire the blast anyway without cost as of ToD release. Is that still a thing? Would have meant spamming lasers at Vlad and Isabella
Any time you want the enemy to come in slowly you don't control large army. All it does is it allows fewer units on the battlefield at the same time, so when a unit is destroyed or runs off the battlefield a new unit comes in to replace it. Great for artillery based armies, it's easy to get overwhelmed when half or more of your army can't defend itself in melee. Also great if you're just heavily outnumbered.
I love playing total wars, but i dont like to cheese, i hate when i'm forced to cheese. I love playing it using real tactics...i tried your trics, but it does not feel like fun to me. Never the less i'm not gonna lie. Watching you cheese tfo from this game is real pleasure. Great work man, keep it up and best wishes!
same, although I justify some things because the setting is pretty high fantasy, with crazy magic and technology. Real tactics may not apply if you are a wizard commanding dragons for example 🪬
proper balanced battles you dont need to cheese at all unless your army comp sucks or you're badly outnumbered he cheeses mostly to preserve the units of the army sent to him (in disaster battles, that is), since he wants to give back the save file with units in best shape possible
You know what would be good, it would be really good if the players who send in their disaster battles recorded them so Legend could show an edited version before he does his battle or after? Either way it would be good to see the differences.
Hey Legend, bring back This is total war series, I want you to do Skarsnik 2.0. No defeat campaigns are boring. I watched Mr.Inbetween the other day. It's in Australia. Have you seen it? Have a great day.
i like that you are doing misstakes, makes you feel less like a god. But i am learning quiet a lot video to video. While some are just super cheese they are still allow for a learning experience. on the main campagin map my main concern is how Khorn has ended up in the middle of his territory??? never seen Khorn leave the wastes.
Normally if Legend can't win, he doesn't take the fight in the first place. There are very, VERY few videos of him trying as hard as he can, and not win, because of this. When he does some disaster battles/campaigns, he'll admit that he tried a fight off-screen, lost, and instead reloaded in order to upload an entirely different route. That is usually what happens when he runs into a scenario where he can't win. But there are still a few in the logs of his losses. And when he chooses to do so, it is because he has a second army that he thinks he can use to win a second fight if he does the first fight well enough.
Hurr durr, Legend you're such a noob. I could have won that battle by sneezing onto the keyboard.🤣 For real now, I think 8 or 9 is a fair rating. It didn't require an endless chase of a single unit or a 3-hour long dragon swoop and we have seen you struggle more than this. There were definitely a few moments (terrorgheists and the direwolves getting to the gun line and the rocket launchers) where we could hear you clench your cheeks (gotta spice up the slaneshi bots). I think most players (myself included) would struggle a lot to win this, if we even managed to.
like a solid 7 I'd say got fairly lucky in some spots with how the enemy AI chose to move around especially with it's flyers and the fast movers preferring high health squads for some reason single entities certainly don't kill squads super fast but I can not tell you how many times i've had a single entity monster flyer land or charge into an artillery piece and break the actual cannon or artillery instantly but not the crew which is effectively one-shotting my artillery if we're talking usefulness in the battle well played. Love your videos

At this point Legend is just undefeatable and all the skills of 4 chaos gods have been infused into him

So should he rename this channel to "HorusofTotalWar" should TW 40K becomes a thing?
Another day, another Legend video I open to see in which niche way I suck at the game again. I'm so ready to watch this.
That poor first necromancer left all alone :((( 06:52, "I wonder will Vlad res me?"

That fight against Vlad was one of the moments where Flaming Attacks would have been really good.

Not taking out Vlad within 20 turns as Elspeth is like playing Astragoth and hoping Grimgor would disappear himself.
