Another fun and enjoyable vlog, thanks for sharing Paul....lovey photos from both you and Mrs C. The texture in the stones, especially on the B & W photos is amazing 👍
That gave a good feel for the typical island weather, been there so many times myself there are so many photos your gonna love the rest of the islands.
You and Denise are becoming celebrities the videos just get better and better, but you Paul may be being upstaged by the lovely Denise, she took some lovely images without blinking an eye very laid back and just produced excellent photographs, a talented lady, regards, Colin.
Well Collin this is the trouble with vlogging and having to make videos for you haha she get more time to wonder and snap away. But all said Mrs C is rather good
THANKS Paul and Dennis . I think your Vlogs are fantastic they have got the fun side of photography . Which is just like I like to do . It’s about getting out there and having FUN . If you get a stunning photo all the better . Looking forward to the next video Paul
Only joking, all the images you took were stunning, especially the standing stones, and some good advice on separation in the composition, regards, Colin.
I can’t wait to see these ancient stone circles of Scotland,my friend and I are going to drive up this coming year for a few wkds We were considering fort William as that’s where my Mcmillan clan came from but are there any stone circles there? Thanks for your videos and lovely pictures that have inspired me 👍🇬🇧
I dont know of any around Fort William, BUT if you are going there i can point you to a very old graveyard i bet you may find an ancestor there.. flic.kr/s/aHsm9tpkCB If you want directions message me or email me..
@@paulcomptonpdphotography Thankyou so much Paul,I’ve just flicked through some of your photos from the graveyard and I assume Ben Nevis. Wow‼️those pictures are so incredible, congratulations I would love to choose one and get it framed for my house. I will get in touch👍 The one with the castle in the reflection on the lake is surreal, many thanks Steve
I will be happy to sign it for you as well... i have to get a large print done in the new year if you let me know image and size, ill price it up for you..
Those islands looks really beautiful. That stone circle... Wow, magical. Could really feel the history. Love these kind of places. We have something similar, called Ales stones. Formed as a ship. Thanks for another enjoyable vlog, u and Mrs C makes a great team👍😀
You brought back so many good memories. Been to Callanish twice, once in the summer with a group of lads walking from Lewis to Barra (yes, we caught some ferries before you state the obvious) and once with a Dutch girlfriend at midnight on New Years Eve '91/'92 (not a soul to be seen, unlike Stonehenge). Hope you thoroughly enjoyed 'Innsegall', where my bog-trotting ancestors came from. Your bunnet has much improved from the awful one you had on Skye, now all you need is a Harris Tweed jacket to look properly turned out.
Omg! you got the stone I love, the last one on its own and then you added another stone shot next to it. The avenue stone that I love to me looks like fossilised wood, but I think they call the stones composition gness. Thank you for this fab walk about you both made my day with your fantastic photos. Im never going to get there now but Im making fabric landscape of Callanish and Brodgar stones. Also would love to know what camera 'Mrs C,' used not that I know anything about photography! Gorgeous photos Lol
That was a good blog, and the conditions were not so good but regardless you got your pictures now that's something we can all learn by, the Mrs done great too I did notice that she had to point out where she stood so the O/M could get his pictures too! Paul and Den I do like your style on presentation it cuts all the red tape out to speak, I found the video very pleasant to watch and thank you for sharing.....
Really enjoying your adventures and you very informal style. Will be following you out there later in the month when I stay near the Callanish stones. Really appreciate being shown around sites I already had on my list.
Nice vlog. We were there at the beginning of April. Make sure you get to Mangersta on the west coast of Lewis. It’s epic there. Also stac a’phris just south of where you are. Watch yourself along that coastline though. Especially if it is stormy. Check out my last vlog if you want which is about Mangersta. Have a great time. Loved your image of the lighthouse with the wave trails 👍🏻
Great textures in the Callanish stones defiantly on my must visit list.
LOL for sure I would like to go back in better light
