    A lot of info I pulled from 2nd and 3rd edition D&D. As of 5th edition the inner planes have changed a bit. Just a correction there is a surface to the Plane of Water, and even a few islands there too. Of course you can use whatever version you like more for your planar travel adventures!

      When you mean by “The Plane of Water” having a surface, you probably meant there are bubbles of steam near “The Plane of Steam” (which is quite weird that this plane is between “The Plane of Water” and “The Positive Energy Plane”, I mean you think this plane would be a Paraelamental plane, not a Quasielemental plane)
      -Double D
      P.S.
      @Jorphdan,
      I was wondering, are there other different types of genies based on the other elemental planes besides the four basic elemental planes, and do they have their own cities (I mean I heard of ice genies, which means there has to be other types, right?)? Also, love you as a fan 😁👍

    1:18 "it is an ocean without a surface and a bottomless depth"
    Where did you get that from? In the 5e DM guide (the one you're referring to, if I trust your description) it is pretty clear the plane of water has a surface: "The weather on the plane is a lesson in extremes.
    If the sea isn't calm, it is battered by storms. On rare occasions, a tremor in the planar firmament sends a rogue wave sweeping across the plane, swamping entire islands and driving ships down to the reefs". There's even islands like the Isle of Dread.

    • @UNDEADaaron
      @UNDEADaaron 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah I was fixing to say the 5e books state that their are islands on the surface

    • @dawsonhelf7922
      @dawsonhelf7922 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cobalt059, I do believe that whoever sees this “surface”, they would describe it as very foggy, even at times that it isn’t foggy, it’s very steamy, also you wouldn’t even see a sky, just this ceilings of clouds that would constantly precipitate, and the weirdest part of this experience is that you would see great torrents of steam bursting out of the surface like geysers, enormous balls of water would periodically (AND LITERALLY) pulled up into the clouds and either poured out or just straight up DROPPED DOWN altogether, forming waves of EPIC proportions! Oh, and if you’re lucky, an island floating on the surface in the distance😁
      -Double D
      P.S.
      AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THIS PLANE’S FLOOR, BECAUSE THAT WOULD TAKE ALL FUDGING DAY!!!

      I'd argue that the 5e Plane of Water is either misinformation or made by a rookie writer because the elemental planes are supposed to be *infinite* planes of an element, essentially a heaven for the elemental life that inhabits Faerun

    Could you please do a video on the elemental plane of ooze? It keeps being on maps but I can't find a single thing about it when I try to look it up. Also where did you get the wheel of elemental cosmology at 0:27 from? I've never even heard or seen mention of half of those planes before such as the plane of silt, vacuum, dust, or ash. I would love to learn more about those.

    I notice if I create a basic account on dndbeyond (without buying any extra resources) that the 4 different types of elemental Genasi are one of the basic races that I can create characters as. Surprising as even Tieflings aren’t offered by default on dndbeyond.
    I’d love to get specific videos (or maybe just 1) on the four Genasi types to complement these existing videos about the elementals themselves.

    • @qzbnyv
      @qzbnyv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      edit: …complementing these existing videos about the elemental planes themselves (and the pureblood elemental Genies from those planes)
      (my original comment made it sound like the elementals were the Genies, lol. But no I can’t imagine anyone banging a fire elemental)

    I guess a relic of when it was written and the particulars not always being as accessible as information is today: the Marid Padishah's name, Kalbari al-Durrat al-Amwaj ibn Jari, should probably end with *bint Jari; "ibn" means that person is "son of" Jari, whereas she's written as a woman and would thus be Kalbari al-Durrat al-Amwaj bin Jari. Her mom is Durrat, her matrilineal grandmother is Amwaj, and she is daughter of Jari.
    How do we know Durrat and Amwaj are her mother an grandmother? Men carry/carried patrilineal names and women matrilineal names, and more demonstrably than that, I've met women named Durrat/Dhurat, and Amwaj (meaning waves) carries a feminine connotation of perfection in Arabic.

    I might have missed it somewhere, but how, if at all, are Giants connected to the Elemental Planes? Seems odd that a race containing Cloud, Stone, Fire, and Frost as racial varieties, they have zero connection to any of the elemental planes.

  • @agsilverradio2225

    Actually, I think the plane of water does have a surface, with an ocational islands, who's inhabitents are often waring over what little land there is.
