I am considered quite young and went to the old market cattle market a few times. Had some great car boots there and I think I still have a lot of old toys I brought from there including some tanks. Weird seeing images of cars driving through town and the fashion was fascinating. So many shops I have never heard of which just look alien. There are a lot of less know places as well around the city which have not really changes but have been practically abandoned over the past decade or two which is a interesting thing

      Sure was ....
Not looking forward to the end of cash.
After covid, there is talk that we no longer need it.
Simple and great life it was . ... every thing felt humble and so pure .

There razing out cash but our family refuses to get a card because it is really easy to get into debt and with cash you can only spend what you have

Not if you have any sense, Hereford is a dump now, dirty, smelly, closed shops and the council wants to give everything over to the the so called university. If I could afford to, i would have gone long ago.

I'm pretty sure the guy at 1:10 is James Honeyman-Scott, the late guitarist with The Pretenders. It looks like him, and he was from the city.

For people not from Hereford: this is the old (haunted) apothecary shop that was taken out of its place for building work and then put back. It had to be moved on rollers through the city centre. Builders reported hearing sighs, moans, footsteps and having their tools moved about. The story is that the apothecary had an apprentice who was unwell. He made his apprentice a potion but due to his poor eyesight, he mixed the incorrect ingredients and the potion was poisonous. He was so wracked with guilt at accidentally causing the death of his apprentice, he hanged himself in his shop and haunts it to this day. The staff of the various shops that have been in the same building (Littlewoods, now New Look ((in the more recent times)) have reported poltergeist activity in the storeroom that has to be entered to get to the apothecary.

I remember that story, though in far less detail. We were told The Old House had been moved, and the mix-up came from the fact that the apothecary shop looks similar, though much smaller. We were also told that Drybridge House was haunted.

When I walked by that shop I did hear sighs I freaked out and ran also another story is we were walking by the Kerry in town and I saw someone in the top floor window not the ones that are blocked up and I asked my friend and he didn't see it so we left lol

Those were the days it didn't take 45 mins to go from the football ground to Belmont at 2 in the afternoon and 45 mins is quick just as well we don't need a bypass for all the traffic just passing through
