  • The Marwari horse is the National horse of India, but through ignorance and arrogance, they were almost wiped out of existence. This video explores the Marwari's origin, it's history, and it's legends.

Good video, but this is to inform that Marwaris were not actually developed by the Rathore rather the very fine Marwaris were brought into the ranks as the Rajputs had to quickly change from a conventional army to a cavalry based army as the situation demanded swift and highly mobile warfare, and that’s how the prominence arose, the same concept was adopted even by the Marathas although the Marathas preferred lighter breeds such as the Sindhis and the Kathiawaris owing to the hilly terrain of the Deccan. Marwaris have no connection to the Arabs and is a separate breed more ancient than any other oriental breeds, the story of shipwreck and Arab horses swimming ashore has no historic and literary evidence and is a lie propagated to promote the Aryan Invasion Theory by the English.

@@AbsurdandFantastical there is very little research done on these horses, and more unfortunate is the fact that Indians absolutely have no concern about this breed and hence have not created any documentary about the Marwaris, Kathiawaris and Sindhi. These horses if researched upon well will completely change the narrative on horses. I’m very sure even the Arabs would owe their lineage to Indian breeds, as nowhere else in the world have horses been so thoroughly been bred as it has been here in India, most of the ancient knowledge has been lost although it still exists in Indian folklore.

I appreciate your replay. West Rajasthan is real hub of Marwari horses. As you have rightly said Dunload and King of Jodhpur has done great work in saving this breed. But interior of Western Rajasthan farmers are one who kept these horses in difficult times in past.
Now off course in other states like Punjab ,Gujrat, Maharashtra many good breeder are there. But their primary source of Stoke is mostly from western Rajasthan interior village farmers.
      Thank you.

Iran didn't exist, its a fake country created by the puppet Shah in 1931 and Pathans aren't even Pashtuns, rather mixed Indians who claim Afghan ancestry.

@@GreaterAfghanistanMovementyour making Afghanistan seem bigger then it ever was. Afghanistan was ruled by Persians for most of its history, with Kabul and Pashtun parts ruled by Mughals. it was only with abdali who was a soldier under Persian king Nader shah that a ‘Afghan’ state was formed. The most significant empires in india were the Delhi sultanate and Mughals and they were turko Mongols who later became Hindustani. Afghanis or Pashtuns are not big rulers like you claim they are the credits goes to Turks not you as they ruled over you guys too. Also Sikhs conquered your land that’s why khyber pass is in pakistans hands today after the British raj and they kicked you all out too.
