These metrics are important. But be aware that these are based on past data. So, we shouldn't blindly follow these numbers. Moreover, because they were on a bull run for the long term, they ought to fall sometime (unless the company has a solid base and future plans). See that most of the stocks in the video are flagged with "higher than the intrinsic value" and "overbought zone". That means that the companies/stock buyers are very optimistic in their numbers. You are basically buying based on someone's optimism, which is a bad thing. One small bad incident could reverse the numbers. Not saying that the shown stocks are bad.. just advising that do fundamental analysis as well before putting in large amounts for long term

Good question. Beta is calculated with respect to the entire market. i.e all 4k+ listed stocks. Nifty is a concentrated index consisting of top 50 stocks. So by definition it's much less volatile than the entire market.

Great video but I think for these stocks we should also do a category index for alpha and beta. For example: TCS had a great alpha and very low beta but we have to consider that tech stocks grew a lot in pandemic. So adding a filter for category level alpha and beta might give us a better perspective

I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. Buy Companies stock which you think has huge potential to grow. For me, I hired a stock expert and she provides entry and exit points on the security I focus on while I go about my other businesses. Investing has no one way to do it, eyes on the prize!!! Mistakes are expensive

These metrics are important.
But be aware that these are based on past data. So, we shouldn't blindly follow these numbers.
Moreover, because they were on a bull run for the long term, they ought to fall sometime (unless the company has a solid base and future plans). See that most of the stocks in the video are flagged with "higher than the intrinsic value" and "overbought zone". That means that the companies/stock buyers are very optimistic in their numbers. You are basically buying based on someone's optimism, which is a bad thing. One small bad incident could reverse the numbers.
Not saying that the shown stocks are bad.. just advising that do fundamental analysis as well before putting in large amounts for long term

Beta is calculated with respect to the entire market. i.e all 4k+ listed stocks.
Nifty is a concentrated index consisting of top 50 stocks. So by definition it's much less volatile than the entire market.

Great video but I think for these stocks we should also do a category index for alpha and beta. For example: TCS had a great alpha and very low beta but we have to consider that tech stocks grew a lot in pandemic. So adding a filter for category level alpha and beta might give us a better perspective
