My mother came here when she was 14 from Germany. She had to know how to speak English, read and write in English AND she had to know more about our government and how it was ran then take a test that MOST (including myself I hate to say) that MOST Americans can’t pass! She is for closed borders and she still watches the Germans in the Olympics but roots for USA. Was married to my dad who served in the air force for almost 30 years. Still likes her little German foods and such but has transformed into an American. I am so proud of her. I just flew domestically. When I went through TSA on my round trip ticket home I could not get through bc my birth year on my license was 11 yrs older than what was in the system at TSA. How did that change from my fight out 14 days prior?? This angers me. I hate how all this has made me suspicious of anyone who doesn't speak English. How many illegals did I fly with? Why are they given a free pass? Why are terrorists given a free pass? Me, an honest, hard working, American born citizen had to step out of the TSA line and go back to airline check in to figure out why the system had me 11yrs to young.
