The best part is that this game is not even a Sonic exe game, it’s a what if Dr. Robotnik’s plans become successful (that is until it ended up contaminating himself with his plan)
The writing is quite stilted and formal. Doesn't really sound like Sonic at all. Honestly feels like it was written by someone who isn't a native English speaker. Still, this is just a demo, they can fix it I'm sure.
I like how some of the character models are also updated, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles sprites are different in this version, it fits more with the other characters in my opinion
I honestly see great potential with this game. For one, it's not one of those fan made copies of sonic.exe games we got accustomed to in the modern era of Sonic horror gameplay type of genre. Also, it's the first time in a while that we are able to play as Sonic and, admittedly, it's the first time I've seen a similar gameplay from Sonic Unleashed for example be implemented into a 2d Sonic game, since Sonic Advance, at least. Although, understandably since it's just a demo showcase, it needs some improvement on balancing the game out to not make it that hard to control with the mechanics and movement sets. Overall, very decent game so far and a nice breath of fresh air for horror games involving Sonic the Hedgehog. I certainly hope Hisped doesn't get put under a lot of stress and pressure developing the full game and manages to publish it without rushing.
