- It's March 14th, so that means it's day 1 launch of WWE 2K23!
This series will be based on WCW trying to come alive once again and take down RAW and SMACKDOWN in WWE 2K23's MyGM mode.
I've taken Eric Bischoff as the GM of WCW and will try to bring WCW back to the top of the wrestling world. As you'll see in the draft, I've tried to mix wrestlers in the past who actually wrestled for WCW, and some wrestlers who have historic ties to the company. Will it be a recipe for success? or will we go down in flames! - เกม
They could have had ECW with Paul Heyman too
100%! I was shocked that they had WCW over ECW. but if they add ECW next year (or hopefully the ability to just create a show) we can do the attitude era RAW vs WCW vs ECW!
ECW is technically in here if you want I can explain how it is in here when Vince brought back ECW in 2009 WWE was getting NXT prepared

I’m so disappointed it’s not the Big Gold Belt. They probably knew people would choose WCW more than raw or Smackdown if that was the case.
You know, I hadn't even thought of that...But that's a really good point. I chose WCW because it's a cool alternative to what we got last year, but reason for picking WCW number two (for me) was having my champ have the big gold belt!

@@CurryKingthe1st Unfortunately not...It seems like it should be a really easy feature to add, but it's not the case.
It would make everyone very happy to have that feature added!

@@mackenzierants you keep talking about family ties, it's always good to have people that were actually in WCW on your WCW roster. You were like Charlotte flair and I was like no Ric flair that's the one that was in WCW. You got me yelling at the screen, do I need to hold your hand while you're picking guys lmao.

@@shadycnetwork You HAVE to go with Charlotte in this game, but Ric's been removed. He's been included in all (I think) 2K's games until this one. Him wanting to have the retirement match, got. him cut from the game...
I did the same as you, went with Eric bischoff for WCW and I was so disappointed the big gold belt wasn't available or we could pick it as a acting GM. Shame.
I couldn't believe it. I think you can actually see the exact moment of the full disgust in my face when I realize it's not the big gold belt lol.
@@mackenzierants believe me I did too. Over all I think it's a great wwe game but it's not perfect with not having little things like that and in universe mode not having double title matches, only one title at once. I'm like you not not keen on the cruiserweights having to go against giants for good rated matches.
@@dannyniland2927 Exactly. I feel like last year we were complaining about MAJOR things missing. This year we're only talking tweaks that need to be made. Step in the right direction!

oh man tell me about it. I thought it would've been a great way to change a title without breaking a feud. hopefully this will be updated in a patch.

How are the alternate attires in this game? Assuming they still have em, used to be able to edit some sets also
Yup the Alt attires are still there and they work pretty well so far (for me at least) can download attires and add them to Alt slots.
So much they could do this roster should be huge by now. The New Systems deserve a huge game and graphics
Ya the roster is about to get bigger because of the DLC content. Do I agree with holding back wrestlers for an extra fee...
Is it possible for unlocked myshowcase wrestlers to be used in myGM and Universe mode?
I believe I saw a couple RVDs and Brocks when I was editing the draft class, so yes I think its possible.

Just bc you used the injury rehab card on theory and he’s available his stamina is 19 he will probably get injured again. You shouldn’t use anyone below 30 stamina
It's actually crazy. It's so much harder to manage than last years game. Which is something I enjoy, just have to get used to haha

I honestly thought if they were to included one of the two, it would've been ECW. They even have the One Night Stand match with RVD vs Cena in showcase mode.

That's great! I'm no expert, but just try to be engaging while you play. make it as exciting as possible to watch. But most importantly, make sure you're having fun doing it!
you hear people who have millions of subscribers say that, and you think "ya that's easy for you to say" but it's actually true. If you are genuinely having fun making your videos, your viewers will pick up on that.

I like it! That's on my potential list to do as well! the only thing is, I'm not sure if there is enough legends in the game to do that...
when creating a draft class you have to at least 60 wrestlers set to "active" before you continue. Can easily be fix by downloading some CAWs, but just keep that in mind!
Why not add NXT?
I think NXT has a chance to get it's own featured series.
And I wanted to have that 2000's vibe of Bischoff, Angle, and Foley

Is Elias in the game or is he only Ezekiel?
Both are 100% in the game, but one (I forget which one) is locked to MyRise or Showcase. once unlocked, they can be added to MyGM
Update! Ezekiel is locked to active while Elias is the one who is unlocked in the game.

Stamina looks like it’s going to be more of an issue this time be very careful with stamina. Make sure you have more than 1 rivalry going so you can rest your superstars and still get rivalries going and good ratings. Nice video

I've always had this same idea but with tna alumni mixed in for extra weight
Then I fill the gaps by sprinkling in a couple more RA people, and some modern successors calling it Triple H's WCW backed by Stephanie & Shane McMahon w/backstage crew of various coaching capacities and otherwise useful broadcast skillsost of which likely have close historical ties to Triple H or WCW or Vince's failures as an employer. I'd put it against The Rock's NWA
There is definitely something there. I think this might be easier to pull off in Universe Mode, but it's a really cool idea!
I was pretty salty when I didn't see the Big Gold HeavyWeight World Title belt too. What part of Canada are you from?
I was soooo disappointed when I started the MyGM and it was the 91'-95' WCW title. The worst part is, that one is actually kind of nice, it's just hideous in comparison to the big gold belt.
I know it doesn't sound like it, but I'm from Montreal! there's a small part of the island of Montreal that's actually english speaking first!

you can. I'm sure you're worried by the "unsaved stuff wont be saved?" it's basically saves at a few points. as soon as a new week starts, that's an automatic save.
Sucks you missed the boat on Angel Garza he's Hector Garza's nephew who was part of WCW and it's Cruiserweight Division but aw well. Bron Breaker would have the mold of WCW though.
Wow I totally missed that WCW connection...It's tough though for the cruisers because there are so few Giants in the game.
I feel that it's silly to not have same class wrestler (cruisers vs cruiser) also get a bonus because I feel in the class especially, it'll deliver the best match IRL.
@@mackenzierants they would do the best match it sucks it's one of the things I don't like about my gm... Humberto Carrillo is his cousin so both could have worked..Aw well I hate the class thing
@@cjgrinchy1698 Ya you're not alone in hating the class thing...It makes for an added challenge, or (thankfully) you can set each wrestlers class to specialist, basically avoiding this issue.

Looks pretty cool structurally, but I won't buy. I just don't know/care about any current day wrestlers and the Attitude Era pickings seems extremely thin.
I want a GM mode set in the Monday Night Wars with a special Attitude Era roster like WWE 12 had. All those guys in their primes and rated according to their status at the time, not as legends of the past. Why not? Thats when the "ratings war" ACTUALLY mattered lol. Also sucks the big one that you can't just remove all these present day people. I wouldn't even want the AI picking em lol
Plus the roster size is just ass. Who cares about a "world title" thats only available to like 7 people lol. Even Universe mode a few years ago had more than that. Each belt had ranking up to like 30 guys deep... The womens side is even more laughable lol. 4 chicks swapping the belt back and forth
Those are all fair points, but if I can play devil's advocate for just a second (and 2K don't endorse me or anything).
The point you mentioned about status', any wrestler (who is unlocked) can be change to "active" and be available for the draft. and there are a 100 downloadable slot for CAW and you can hypothetically make your own attitude era roster.
I do get what your saying because make your own roster that saying will take a long time...
As for the Universe mode, I haven't touched it yet because I've been too into MyGM, but that does sound pretty annoying lol
I havent played this since 19. I see the game has new controls. Is it hard to adapt? I'm not a too good of a person to change easy. Your thougths greatly appreciated.
I think the controls aren't too hard to adapt to. At least for basic controls. one button initiates grapples, then you can either use a strong or light move. I think you'll be able to catch on pretty quickly.
And for the most part (I'll say 90%) the controls are well described in the help page when you press pause.
