Probably my favorite tweak in 2k23 is the impact of moves. The sound design is really good and you feel like you can really tell how hard each move is hitting.
Yeah I enjoyed 2k22 and somehow this one is even better. I'm having issues with the image uploader and some online features. I hope they patch these soon since I won't be playing much come Friday when RE 4 comes out 😅
Good luck with the infinite load screen in custom matches 2k22 was horrible for that shit either never loads or takes like 10 min just to start the match yall so easily impressed it’s crazy🤦🏾😂
@@maddmacctv9261 you sound entitled when no one is entitled to anything. You bought the game and you didn’t like it some people bought the game and liked it. Their opinion on the game doesn’t affect you in anyway
I think your game was glitching. I only see one dude in the ring getting punched by a ghost or something invisible. It's like I can't see the other fighter 😂
Favorite one in the 2K series so far, this doesn't count for the SVR games but 2k23 is great. It's an overall improvement on WWE 2k22 with a bunch of new tweaks, gameplay feels good, universe is better then ever in my opinion. I preordered the deluxe edition to get the 3 days early access and in those 3 days it was all I wanted to play with all the improvements. If you're new to the series, I'd say buy it and try it out. Some people prefer the more arcade stack 3 tables and toss Edge off a ladder into them feel, some people prefer the more simulation based chain wrestling and slow paced matches, this IMHO has both, you can go all out in match types and have fun while still kind of enjoying the semi realistic feel of the game itself. Overall good game, 8/10
One thing I've heard that I'm excited for is the ability to use a create a character or community upload character for your My Rise campaign that you couldn't do in 2k22. In 2k22 you had to make your own character for that mode.
I loved the SmackDown vs Raw games Remember in SVR2011 when you could free roam backstage in the Road to Wrestlemania mode? They put in side stories with other wrestlers and you could start a brawl with anyone of them I like the idea of 2K Showcase but I still miss Road to Wrestlemania, some of those storylines written for the games were crazy
The only thing I wish is on the career mode, I would love to see you be able to choose the type of wrestler you'd be. For example, if you're a giant, have the story tailored to how big and massive you are. Maybe you're a supernatural-being type of wrestler (i.e. kane undertaker or the boogeyman), and your presence terrifies other wrestlers. I think that it would be cool to have your personality affect how the wwe universe interacts with you. It would definitely make for a more interesting gameplay experience.
Counterpoint to the AI pinning: if you watch wrestling you'll see the wrestlers stick pins in after combinations or what have you, even if they didn't hit a sig or a finisher. So its more realistic that the AI will try and pin you off a snap suplex or a falcon arrow.
Significantly smoother than last year, had a great moment today as the rock hitting his signature punch combo and right as the last punch was about to land Kevin Owens hit a surprise stunner. Excellent
I like this entry. I just think that they need to patch the entrance maker to be a bit easier to make custom entrances. And that the announcer sounds like he's trying to read custom wrestler names from a piece of paper without his glasses on. But it is a fun game this year
As a person who has been very critical of WWE games for the past decade+, it's really good! I didn't give last years game a chance so can't really compare it to how much of an improvement it is over last years, but from the game prior, without even taking the buggyness of that game into account, it's really nice to play and look at and a big upgrade. There's still a lot of bugs in it and a lot of the game just not working, like it can't tell how to do a move from a top rope correctly, or it can't target the correct person and hit attacks on them. It can be frustrating at times when this happens.

As somebody else already said, Jeff Hardy isn’t in 2K23, I think the full list of cut wrestlers from this game is around 45 Somebody made a video on TH-cam detailing every single one
@@James-616 I thought I heard somewhere that 2k23 will release dlc packs of old wrestlers, kinda like 2k22 did. And one or more of those packs would be an Attitude Era pack. Something about how they can release previous versions of wrestlers even if they aren't currently with WWE. I don't remember where I heard/saw that, so I don't know if it's true. If not, I still hope someone will create a very good Jeff Hardy in the creation suite.
I haven't really enjoyed a wwe game in some time. I did like 2k16 with all the attitude Era wrestlers, but before that I would say Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 was the last one I couldn't put down. No wrestling game series will ever be as good as the Smackdown vs Raw series. I wish they would just come out with a new Smackdown vs Raw and modernize the game with the same mechanics

Yeah it's kind of an acquired taste. My gripes with it is that the parking lot area kinda just got lazy after 2k19. There used to be lots of backstage areas that you could wrestle in. From locker rooms to lobby areas, corridors in PS2 era, you can even access a sports bar, a subway station and even time square with helicopters. But judging from this video, there's only the parking lot space and worst yet it's exactly identical to ones from 2K22 last year.
Mr. Gameranx What I want: Create a title belt, signature & finisher, faction & name them any mode, entrance, Tony Khan mode where I run 10 years my own company, ppv & name them, New Vegas dialogue I write or options since every wrestling game 50% fighting yet missing the 50% RPG stuff, never a wrestling game with rpg stuff yet real wrestling is a comic book\RPG, play it or sim it or watch it with special ref options, immersion etc. THE LIST! So, how much of that do we get? What's missing? Mr. Gameranx
I got 2K22 later in the cycle for a cheaper price and will do the same for 2K23. It looks good but I have other games so I'll wait for a deep sale on the Deluxe version.
Basically: everything got improved over 2k22 and that is it. Bye. Such as: every animation is more polished that it feels natural unlike 2k22 Create a wrestler got improved to the point of me being able to create my likeness in a very convincing way. The showcase is kind of fun I guess. Create your entrance is good, but underwhelming (unless I missed the button to change cameras cause that was the best thing before) Myrise has OK story. I did not fully play it Haven't played universe mode yet. Essay warning: My friend and I both have started playing wrestling games since Raw vs Smacksown 2011 on ps2. We both have the same power of trickiness, capability to constantly reverse, taking advantage of our own environment, and basically beating each other with strategies. So in 2k22, we kinda hated going against each other due to poor animations between moves which always caused confusion and bugs. In 2k23, the experience have improved to the point of eliminating that issue. Of course, that is not an indicator to whether this should convince you to buy this game or not. But we are having fun playing as Randy Orton 9', Triple H 9' ( I think or 8'). I am also having fun playing as my second favorite wrestler John Cena in his super Cena form cause that was a funny old meme that 2k team have put. So yeah, we are having fun in multi-player mode :).
@@aye.aye.ron. It is an improved version of 2k22 😂. Your call honestly. Do you really want to buy it? A more polished version of its previous installment? I'd say wait for 2k23??? If you do not want to waste money. Then, nah buy something else

It’s a little more technical than the older games but it’s the best game they’ve had since 2k took over. It’s a little learning curve but l definitely recommend it
My only complaint is that it feels super odd or sluggish when trying to pick up larger weapons. Plus the roster feels a little underwhelming but that might be a wwe problem IMO. Community creations always save the day
I was a wrestling game diehard from the SNES and N64 days up until the PS2 era with games like SYM and HCTP. I only played some of the recent ones for the character creation and highlight reel tools. I do hope they address some of the bugs and glitches that there games have been plagued with post Yuke's /2K19. I really miss Yuke's.
The Ref can stay down longer now and they do slow ass counts after they got hit by a move or a weapon. AI has sliders now you won't see 400 pound superheavyweights doing moonsaults and cruiserweights suplexing superheavyweights. CodyRhodes. Better caw textures sometimes you won't even need a face scan.
One of the best things I can say from playing the game is I like what they did with universe mode where you can pick different rival actions for the matches.
I really want to get this game, but I’ll wait for the inevitable sale. I still feel the burn for buying the ultimate version of last years game at full price
I’m gonna wait until this one is on sale. I want to get it but have way too much on my plate right now on top of all the other games that coming out or about to come out.
Glad you guys enjoy the game! I’ve been lucky enough to work some with 2K on how they wanna expand the game and make it something we can really get into like we used to back in the day and they are putting as much love into it as they possibly can. Love the channel man. Been watching for a long time!
From a wrestling fan and a guy who's bought the games every 2 years or so, 23 is worth the buy. 22 was a good start in the right direction. Everything in 23 wasn't as up to date or well done as us heads wanted, but it's another solid step towards the game we want
Only good thing about my faction is being able to play with the people you get in card packs the down side is that's the only place you can play with them
I kind of hope you guys do a Before You Buy on AEW fight Forever when it comes out later this year because it's suppose to be more like the old N64 wrestling games.
Just in time, my friend bought it yesterday and it looks like a lot of fun I haven’t played it yet but the A.I. being dumb can be fixed by switching the difficulty and I believe there are new more in-depth sliders this year
I can't wait to see what Yuke's manage to accomplish with the AEW Fight Forever game. For those who haven't found out yet, Yuke's were the guys who made the original WWE games (the ones people love) and they were tossed out, as a cost-saving measure from the look of things. It's why WWE2k20 and forward were really, really rough. Wasn't made by Yuke's!
I miss the THQ era of everything Solid releases across the board We got darksiders, WWE, SpongeBob and saints row just to name a few I really hope that embracer group can purchase the right to wwe games once again so we can have a legit wrestling game again
MyFaction is one of my fav part of 2K22. I enjoy the grind and unlocking stronger wrestlers, gives alot of fun match ups, weekly/monthly challenges and I liked evolving cards. My only issue was grinding for an expensive pack then getting a card I already had over n over was pretty brutal.
I've enjoyed the cena showcase this year and I find myself thinking that I'll replay it again at some point, might be because you play as different superstars. I liked to unlock the wrestles too. The randy orton bald version is good. Gameplay is the same as 2k22 with some tweaks. I liked last year's game, was still planying it all year round until this game. GM Mode is better, more matches and titles but still cruiserweights v giants and all that stuff meaning you'll get better ratings by matching them up with others that go together. Hate faction mode and not played the career mode yet, didn't like it last year. Universe mode is better, I made a ruthless aggression era with them superstars of then and changed the shows for the older raw and smackdown venues with ppv. Plus the titles.

Same here. 2K19 was awesome too. But 2K22 and now 2K23 and whatsthestatus community creations and Assemble's awesome videos over the last two years helping with the game is amazing 👍🏼
As somebody else already said, Jeff Hardy isn’t in 2K23, I think the full list of cut wrestlers from this game is around 45
Somebody made a video on TH-cam detailing every single one
@@James-616 I thought I heard somewhere that 2k23 will release dlc packs of old wrestlers, kinda like 2k22 did. And one or more of those packs would be an Attitude Era pack. Something about how they can release previous versions of wrestlers even if they aren't currently with WWE. I don't remember where I heard/saw that, so I don't know if it's true. If not, I still hope someone will create a very good Jeff Hardy in the creation suite.
@@DerangedVoices
I haven’t heard about that, but there will definitely be a good Jeff Hardy to get from community creations
i personally miss the wwe games back on the ps2 wwe smackdown vs raw 2008 specifically
I really like the grind of getting points to unlock wrestlers. Gives me a aim
They need to add more Vc unlockables
We need more realistic stuff .
If I break a table in the 1st match of universe mode in the main event the announcement table shouldn't be there
2k23 looks so damn beautiful.
And we can edit the rosters hair for once😀
love playing wrestling games, but kinda wish they didn’t make the ropes bounce so much every time a move hits.
I’m suspicious about the next one. We had back to back solid entries with 18 and 19 before things went off a cliff.
A Def jam kind of game should be made but with rock, metal, and punk singers
I haven't really enjoyed a wwe game in some time. I did like 2k16 with all the attitude Era wrestlers, but before that I would say Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 was the last one I couldn't put down. WWE 2k23 has beat all my expectations, while I don't enjoy it as much as the classics, this game has restored my faith in these titles. I hope they continue to improve from here on out.
i stopped watching when i was 10 which is 2010 i don’t like none the new wrestlers and don’t know them does 23 have a good selection of older wrestlers especially since this game was advertised as having more ruthless aggression era wrestlers in the game in which that was my era of wrestling please lmk 🙏
@@dirtyshasta it has a decent amount at least from the time period you watched. I've done rematches from the early 2000s to 2012 with wrestlers in the game. If you haven't been watching since 2010 you won't know the majority of the wrestlers though
No wrestling game series will ever be as good as the Smackdown vs Raw series. I wish they would just come out with a new Smackdown vs Raw and modernize the game with the same mechanics
Wow ,wrestling games have came along way since royal rumble for SnEs. Remember that game lol,it was awesome.
I'm considering purchasing 2k23 but I'm wondering if I should wait until 2k24 drops. Which should I go for?
I got the icon edition and I love it! It's a step up from 2k22
👌👍🏼
I been a wrestling fan since no mercy. As we grow older we don’t really do the wrestling cause we know it’s fake now, but I enjoyed smack down vs raw back in the day too and I’m excited to jump into this game after not playing a wrestling game since a jit ☺️
I don't like particularly this kind of games, but this one looks pretty good, I can imagine myself playing with my friends if I had any.
@@floatingdisembodiedhead8975 will be added in the next DLC :))))
Mr. Gameranx
I want this but I can't justify 70 + for a yearly release
It will b on sale in a few months
Hopefully create a finisher comes back. I miss creating a extremely long crazy finisher back in smack down vs raw 2010
I haven’t played a wrestling game in probably 20 years but it’s good to see a decent release.
They gotta fix the ref staying outta the way and for objects to be invisible depending on the camera angle as an option too.
I got 2K22 later in the cycle for a cheaper price and will do the same for 2K23.
It looks good but I have other games so I'll wait for a deep sale on the Deluxe version.
4:33 they’re not dumb it’s a wrestler’s natural instinct to pin after the first knockdown 😂😂😂
Basically: everything got improved over 2k22 and that is it. Bye.
Such as: every animation is more polished that it feels natural unlike 2k22
Create a wrestler got improved to the point of me being able to create my likeness in a very convincing way.
The showcase is kind of fun I guess.
Create your entrance is good, but underwhelming (unless I missed the button to change cameras cause that was the best thing before)
Myrise has OK story. I did not fully play it
Haven't played universe mode yet.
Essay warning:
My friend and I both have started playing wrestling games since Raw vs Smacksown 2011 on ps2.
Same game
@@jeanguimaraes5527 pretty much, yes
Worth the $70 you think?
@@aye.aye.ron. It is an improved version of 2k22 😂. Your call honestly. Do you really want to buy it? A more polished version of its previous installment? I'd say wait for 2k23??? If you do not want to waste money. Then, nah buy something else
@@Smoke_999 not it's much better not even close to 2k22 lol
havent played a wwe game since 2k12 grew up on shut ur mouth all the way up to 12 pretty much, got 23 last night for 14 bucks i gotta admit its really fun, feels like it used to and all the updated stuff makes this game good for me
I haven't played a wrestling game since Here Comes the Pain. Would this be a good entry point into the newer wrestling games?
It’s a little more technical than the older games but it’s the best game they’ve had since 2k took over. It’s a little learning curve but l definitely recommend it
You should add that this isnt like other showcases, this year you play as cena’s opponents instead of cena.
Can you do a video on "why do 2k games suck so bad on pc"?
My only complaint is that it feels super odd or sluggish when trying to pick up larger weapons. Plus the roster feels a little underwhelming but that might be a wwe problem IMO. Community creations always save the day
I don't even watch wwe anymore, but I'm thinking of buying this game.
Wait till black Friday
It's like 2K22 but even more polished with more modes.
Don’t worry the AEW game will be similar to those games.
WWF No Mercy will forever be king 👑
👌👍🏼
Not much said about MyRise, my favorite mode.
One of the best things I can say from playing the game is I like what they did with universe mode where you can pick different rival actions for the matches.
I really want to get this game, but I’ll wait for the inevitable sale. I still feel the burn for buying the ultimate version of last years game at full price
I might actually look into this one after a while
👍🏼
@@cybercop3108 🤌🤌
I’m gonna wait until this one is on sale. I want to get it but have way too much on my plate right now on top of all the other games that coming out or about to come out.
Glad you guys enjoy the game! I’ve been lucky enough to work some with 2K on how they wanna expand the game and make it something we can really get into like we used to back in the day and they are putting as much love into it as they possibly can. Love the channel man. Been watching for a long time!
Here comes the pain for the PS2. I doubt there will ever be a better game
Was really impressed of the crowd in the gameplay you’ve shown. The most realistic I’ve seen so far in a video game
Great to see the ring ropes getting so much screen time.
From a wrestling fan and a guy who's bought the games every 2 years or so, 23 is worth the buy. 22 was a good start in the right direction. Everything in 23 wasn't as up to date or well done as us heads wanted, but it's another solid step towards the game we want
Only good thing about my faction is being able to play with the people you get in card packs the down side is that's the only place you can play with them
Put nearly 100 hours into this so far, 10000000% worth it
AI is much smarter this year too, not sure how ya got that wrong
Can i run it on hdd
I haven't really played wrestling games since PS2. I just hated the controls on the newer games. But I might have to check out 2K23!
LMAO with that crowd animation 😂😂

Hogan and Vince having a match on Main Event could you imagine
Must have saved the Devs a tonne of time programming an invisible character
Not being able to do the Bloodline entrance with a CAW is so stupid though
You starting the video by saying they finally nailed the gameplay and then showing me a fight with RVD in it, I'm sold!
I kind of hope you guys do a Before You Buy on AEW fight Forever when it comes out later this year because it's suppose to be more like the old N64 wrestling games.
Lol that shit’s gonna be trash if it even comes out ever 😂
@@UFCWWE69 It could or it could be great for all we know. That's kind of why I want them to review it when it does come out.
Take forever
My only complaint is that this year they didnt have anyone on the cover.
Just in time, my friend bought it yesterday and it looks like a lot of fun
I haven’t played it yet but the A.I. being dumb can be fixed by switching the difficulty and I believe there are new more in-depth sliders this year
The only thing I don't like is how small the ring looks
I can't wait to see what Yuke's manage to accomplish with the AEW Fight Forever game.
For those who haven't found out yet, Yuke's were the guys who made the original WWE games (the ones people love) and they were tossed out, as a cost-saving measure from the look of things.
It's why WWE2k20 and forward were really, really rough. Wasn't made by Yuke's!
take forever
Yuke's-who everyone claimed made subpar games compared to AKI?
@@avinashsanga5840 Yuke's, known for brilliant cult classics like EDF, yeah!
I don't think that game would be better than 2k23.
@@vinaykumar-fo3cf A bit early to judge, don't you reckon?
Can we finally get a online match going???!?!? Especially with 6 man matches and above?
I get to enjoy this game without a grain of salt, my body thanks you.
I just want button mashing reversals like the good old smackdown days. 😂
Me watching after I already bought the Icon
edition 🗿
😅
as someone who hasn't played wwe games since RAW vs SMACKDOWN I honestly think its a blast to play.
unfortunately every video i listen to doesn't go into match types. this is also important. what is available?
So it's a copy &paste from 2k22 just with couple improvements and new wrestlers added?
Thank you for another awesome video sir!
🤝
I miss the THQ era of everything
Solid releases across the board
We got darksiders, WWE, SpongeBob and saints row just to name a few
I really hope that embracer group can purchase the right to wwe games once again so we can have a legit wrestling game again
Here comes the pain and Raw vs Smackdown will still be the best wrestling games
It's pretty good. Preordered the Deluxe edition, and it's a lot of bang for my buck.
The one fo 100

Reminds of me the old PS1 Smackdown games or Smackdown vs Raw
