I agree with you 150%. I disagree with herm on that one. The official was right behind Pitts. He saw everything that was going on. He didn’t miss the call. He chose not to make the call. There’s a big difference between the two. This is the same thing that happens in the NBA. The championship teams with the big stars get all the calls.as if the Chiefs need more help? The NFL needs to let the game be settled on the field and not by the refs.

They didn't miss it last week!
I am a Bengals fan, and I would have been furious last week if the situation was reversed and we didn't get that call, it was blatant pass interference. But it's not just "social media" that sees a trend with the Chiefs getting calls in the closest of games, that LITERALLY hand them the game. What makes it suspicious, curious, and infuriating is that in the most crucial moments they see the foul committed against them, but not the fouls they commit.
Mahomes and Reid are great, but it is getting ridiculous how many primetime, close, or important games they have that a yellow flag (or lack thereof) is the deciding factor. They are good enough, stop favoring the "face" of the league. Call it fair.

This is why when you buy a ticket to any NFL game, it states that it is for "entertainment purposes only", and "they will not be held accountable for the result of the game".
Controversy gets people talking about the game, and inclines people to watch the next one, to see what possible controversy may happen in that game.
More people watching, better ratings..........better ratings, higher cost for commercials.
Higher cost for commercials......more money in their pockets.
It's not a secret why they show Taylor Swift as much as possible when she attends games, the ratings go up from the "swifites" watching to see her.

@@will-zj5gq People take a dim view of PI in the endzone. It's equivalent to taking the score of the team that was fouled, and subtracting 7. A referee literally cannot alter the game more than that, and that includes the PI call against the Jets last year that people still talk about (it got mentioned in the piece about the Falcons game on Sunday), where a WR ran into a stationary CB, the ball got picked off, and a referee who was standing right there clutched the flag in his hand, waited to see what was happened, and only after the interception three seconds later threw the flag.
      Talk about "outcome-based officiating".
As for roughing the passer, the number of people who will say "yeah, that's fair" on a non-egregious roughing call against their team, I can count on one hand, and if you can't spot textbook PI, I have to wonder how objective you are about personal fouls and PI going the other way.
I used to root for the Chiefs. Know why I don't anymore? Because like everyone in the NFL, I've seen them get the benefit of the whistle time and time again, and I'd just go, "well, it's not like they're the ones throwing the flags". That was until Mahomes freaked out over a 5-yard illegal formation, and all but went on "Oprah" over the injustice of it. If you're going to act like that, sorry Chris Jones, Carson Steele et. al. Well, they gotta call penalties like that so it doesn't like they are being biased toward the Chiefs. How do you explain the penalty the refs didn't call in the Vikings-Chiefs game last season?? The Chief's player took his helmet off while on the field. Instead of calling a penalty, the ref tells the player to put his helmet back on. That's unsportsmanlike conduct and an automatic first down. The Vikings didn't win that game either.

About the fact that KC had more yards from penalties than ANY team in the NFL last year? It's easier to cry about the officiating than it is to accept the fact that KC is just better than your team. Believe me, as a Patriot fan, I know this from first hand experience.

Each team had penalties called against them that should have not been called. Each team had penalties that should have been called against them and were not called. It was clearly PI in the end zone. It should have been called McDuffie did not PI. That should not have been called. The issue is the refs, not the Chiefs. The refs are bad in most of the games. The Chiefs are on TV all the time and that is why people focus on it. And no one would really care if the Chiefs were up by 2 scores, or the Falcons were up by 2 scores. If KC would just blow a team out and seal the deal before the last minute of games no one would say anything.

For all of you complaining about the no-call (and I agree it should have been called), it actually did NOT favor KC.
You have to fully understand football to get past the low-hanging fruit of simply the missed call.
Falcons get the call. 1st and 10 on the 1. Score a TD. They go up 23-22 and go for 2 because there is nothing to gain by taking 1 and nothing to lose by missing the 2. 4 chances for 1 yard is different than 1 chance for 2 yards. No guarantee they score the 2.
We all saw ATL's final play....
Score is 23-22. Around 5 minutes left.
KC gets the ball at the 30 (ATL not chancing allowinh a big return) instead of taking over at the 6. Being down and needing a FG, it's 4 down territory (remember SB58, right? Right?). KC also won't play ultra conservative pinned deep and protecting a lead like they did after the no-call. They can use their entire playbook, drain the clock, kick the FG, walk off 25-23.
As it was, KC went 3 and out and ATL had a chance to win the game. A chance that they otherwise would not have had.
Now ATL is burning clock and getting "fortunate" penalties to move the ball. If they score, there's a good chance KC won't have any time to respond (13 Seconds exists, but it is an anomaly).
I know it's easy to cry abot refs and say they "helped" KC.
It should have been called, absolutely. That also would have *increased* the chances KC wins if they had called it.
