Wow… the Jaguars haven’t been the same since their loss to Cincy last season. Other than their win against the Panthers, they’ve lost very game since (yeah I’m not counting the preseason games). Yes, the Bills came out strong, but still… how have the Jags collapsed this hard? 😟
Because American sports contracts are always based on what a player did in their past. When the recent past doesn’t make a case for them, they get credit for their distant past.
If you say so. They're the same size underdog in Balt as they were in Miami. But ya it's brutal. Does any other team have a comparable road trip this year?
Outside of Mahomes, no other QB can humble you with his mobility and Arm talent. Glad Diggs is gone, now Allen can spread the ball around and not worry about a big name Diva WR pouting if he doesn't get the ball. This that Pats formula with the pass catching backs, TEs and WRs who would be 3rd and 4th options on other team's. Hope Allen can hush up his critics this year. 2nd best QB in the League and it's not really close.
Trevor Lawrence's career as a starting QB is in jeopardy. He has a top 10 RB, solid WRs, a great TE, yet he hasn't been able to move the ball downfield at will. I knew he would be an incredible player when I saw him listed with top 5 Heisman odds as a true freshman at Clemson before he had even displaced Kelly Bryant. The way his NFL career has played out, though, doesn't give much hope. I was upset when the Jets missed out on TL by winning those games, but it's looking more and more like Lawrence will never live up to the hype. And it's not like he can get traded to a much better situation (e.g. The Giants) because he signed that massive contract extension.
I knew it was going to be a blowout but I didn't it to be that much of a beat down. I was calling Trevor Lawrence a bust since last season and every game this year has proven that so far.
@@drg8687because good QB play is essential in this era of football. Bad QBs don’t make the playoffs. Bad QBs don’t win games. If you don’t have at least average QB play your team will suffer. The value is incalculable. That’s why guys like Lawrence and Jones got the contracts they did. They demonstrated that they are, in fact, capable of decent-good play. The problem is they don’t do it nearly consistently enough to warrant the value of the contract, but that’s a problem with the market, not the player. The best way to look at this is the Miami dolphins. Tua is an average QB. He’s capable of good to great play but he’s consistently very average and relies heavily on his weapons. He will never be the reason you win games but he most likely won’t cost you games. He’s not elite. He’s not even that good, but he’s also essential to that team’s success. The dolphins without Tua are irrelevant even though he’s, at best, slightly above average.
Jaguars offense is terrible,The o- linemen,Trevor,Travis,Mac and wide outs. The season is 100% done for them and they should focus on 2025 and beyond. I said that this season will be Doug Pederson last season in Jacksonville.
I judge by winning and losing. And Trevor Lawrence is not even in the same class as Kirk Cousins, and Kirk Cousins should be the bare minimum for an starting NFL QB.
There is no searching for answers, we found it: the Jags are terrible from top to bottom. Been a fan since ‘95 and this is the lowest of the low. See y’all in 2025.
I've been a Jags fan for only 11 years but I've still been through the thick and thin with this team as they've had only two playoff seasons in my time as fan (2017 and 2022). I have to admit it, it's only week 3 and everyone needs to be fired and Trevor Lawrence does not look anything like he did coming out of Clemson. It's not entirely his fault because the O line sucks, yet he throws some of the most boneheaded interceptions and seems more skittish in the pocket now. Blake Bortles threw a lot of interceptions too, but in his defense most of them were tipped or bounced off the receiver into a defender's waiting arms. Meanwhile, Trevor has a tendency to throw it directly to them when at least one of his own guys is still open. This is a systemic and organizational failure without a doubt.
Been a fan since ‘95, and I hate to say this to you, but just mentally prepare yourself to have these feelings for a while. We’ve been historically bad, and whether we restart or not, we have a tendency to hire bad. I don’t know how to fix this franchise, but this feeling is the lowest of the low. Only good positive out of this game is that the team can only go up from here, because right now I wouldn’t be surprised with 0-17.
Hopefully after today we can stop talking about damar hamlin going into cardiac arrest 2 years ago. Im glad hes alive, obviously, but this has been covered every game for the past 2 seasons regardless if he even plays or not. Its done. Its over. Let it go.
One of the two QBs that played tonight got voted the most overrated player in the NFL…and it wasn’t Trevor Lawrence
