I think you mention a great point with Delina / fragrances in general: Some scents, I ended up loving the second or third time I have tried them. So putting something you like but don't love on hold for two months can really pay off :)
I would say that cheaper ones like Intense Cafe and Cedrat Boise are really bangs for your buck and are really worth their hype!
I just got into perfumery in depth especially niche perfumes, your channel helped my alot with learning about niche brands. I smelled “MUSC RAVAGEUR” , “ bohemian lime” and “ citron noir” today and your description is spot on, loved all three of them. Great channel and always waiting for new videos ❤️

I agree with MoonlightDrive. The lace top is amazing!! I have sampled most of these fragrances and appreciate the intelligent descriptions! I wish I could like oud and even though Oud for Greatness is beautifully crafted, it just doesn't work for me. And BR 540...I'm in a treatment room as a nurse with that one (iodine and latex). But we agree on Delina, which happens to be one of my signature scents!!

I recently sampled Santal Complet and yes you are a 1000% correct it smells like a coconut butter cookie .....specifically made by Butterkist. The mid to dry down goes a bit more dark with Sandalwood and Violet combo with the lingering vanilla. I don't want to smell like a biscuit though 🙃

540 is next on my list I recently purchased Grand Soir (New Years Eve Scent) and OUD Satin Mood (Wedding Anniversary Scent 24th of Dec). Once I decide between the EDP and the Extrait I am pulling the trigger.

Yes, Oud for Greatness is Intoxicating period. Baccarat Rouge I do prefer the Extrait, also I woud add to my favorites from MFK Oud Satin Mood and Ciel De Gum. I haven't tried the Amouage or Fragrance Du Bois. Great list Josephine, thank you!

I agree with your list, especially Musc Ravageur which is so special. Perfumes that I think are worth the hype in 2020 are Behold Patchouli and Wicked Good by Gallagher Fragrances, Bee and Squid by Zoologist, Psychedelic by Jovoy, Areej Le Dore and Francesca Bianchi.

Yeah nice idea for a video and an awesome list, it would be interesting to see your opinion on the most popular Xerjoff and Roja Dove fragrances in a video. e.g. Naxos, Uden, Enigma Parfum / colonge et al.
Almost forgot, I love Oud, Oud silk mood and A La Rosefrom Maison Francis Kurkidjan! I even layers those two together. Absolutely exquisite!

I’m glad you’re finding some new fragrances to discover… after all there are around 3,000 new launches each year so it would be a shame to only talk about the same few! I’m Swiss & French but grew up in an international background hence the mix of accents 😄
Of these, I'm curious about Oud for Greatness, Delina (also because you advised, although I don't quite like the bottle), and Santal Complete. And perhaps (because it seems a classic, with so much recommendations, and also because the bottle is perfect) Baccarat Rouge 540. These are maybe all too expensive, though. I've seen that Delina costs over €200, probably there are other excellent perfumes that cost far less.
Great fragrances, but I was a bit distracted by the most summery top I've ever seen! I really need to give OfG and Musc Ravageur a try. I hear they're a bit polarizing though. I prefer less divisive fragrances, but I'll give it a go!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these fragrances 👍👍👍and yes they definitely worth the "hype" definition as some of them are really performance beasts . Musc Ravageur is/was famous for it's musky animalic undertone, it used to react with body chemistry 'cause it used to have almost a civet type stage during it's tenure (although I am not aware of current ingredients ) for which it is famous for. Musc Ravageur is another level. I really like "Monsieur"from FM house. It’s a beast.

Except for Santal Complet which I never tested, all the other perfumes are in my possession while Delina has already been drained by my daughter. I love these perfumes even if at the moment I prefer the fragrance of Amouage over all.
I have a .27 ounce atomizer of Aventus and have not been impressed with wearing the fragrance. I'm wondering what the chances are that I may have a bad "batch" since this has been an issue with Aventus??? Thanks for the video. I'm enjoying the channel.

Oud for Greatness & Aventus are my favorites
I’m the same way for Delina. It got better the more I smelled it! I mostly get juicy lychee from it, which I have good memories with. I often ate lychees as an afternoon snack after school a long time ago haha.

Could you please do a video about what designer fragrances are comparable to the feminine ones from Parfums de Marly? As you mentioned that other than Delina, the other ones from PdM are not exactly worth the high price, so I’m very curious to hear your recommendations please.

I was longing for Oud for greatness and finally got a bottle everything is marvelous about that one , not a fan of BR540 also love Absolur Aphrodisiac,Abenrus is the King for a reason I find it unisex, I adore Carnal flower ,Musc Rav. On my list and Dries Van Notten

I've heard so many positive reviews about Oud for Greatness, so I obtained a sample. Honestly, I found it to be putridly sweet and it reminded me of one of those cheap clubbing fragrances one would wear in their late teens/early 20s. Given all the positive feedback I see out there, I thought it might be fair to try and counterbalance with my own personal experience to say that it's not worth the price. Not even close.

I happen to be wearing Musc Ravageur as I watch, and I do smell naughty. I am unable to smell all the things that you do, but It smells to me like a very clean, powdery "personal space".

It is a Vanilla of wood, aromatic and muted, full of resinous nuances.
Spices mingle with Musk, I smell very clearly the Guaiac, and then what looks like a Peruvian Balsam and Juniper. It is the smell of a tale, chimeric and mysterious.
After an hour on my skin, the scent changes.
An emanation of smoked chestnuts, straight out of the pans simmering in an Alsatian half-timbered house. It's the smell of an alternative reality, that of a cursed poet immersed in his books, and of the smoke from an alchemist's still.

Nearly all the mentioned fragrances in the Video are really fantastic I own all exept Delina, this Fragrance and Delina Exclusif belongs to my sweetheart. From Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur I own only an decant, but a full size bottle is on my list.
I have a nearly full 120 ml bottle from a vintage batch of Aventus a realy good one and I like it, but nowadays there are some very good fragrance with a similar scent DNA (not clons) and a handful in my opinion are even better as the vintage Aventus like Nishane Hacivat, Tiziana Terenzi Orion or Roja Parfums Elysium.
Amouage Reflection Man is really good but I find Jubilation XXV Man even better, it's the absolutly gentleman like fragrance from Amouage.
Initio Oud for Greatness is extremely good, but also the other fragrances from the brand are really good (Rehab, Side Effektc, Absolute Aphrodisiac etc) exept the Magnetic Blend 1, this scent I don't like.
The famous Baccarat Rouge 540 from Maison Francis Kurkdjian but also Grand Soir and Oud Satin Mood are absolutely fantastic.
Fragrance du Bois Santal Complet is a realy good one for sure, but I Like Milano or Cannabis Blue more.

BR540 is not for me it's too sugary and gives off a burnt cotton candy vibe for me. The same goes for Oud for Greatness. For me it's similar to BR540 with the burnt sugar scent but with added oud. I know we are all different and have various scent preferences but in my view these are over hyped, which has undoubtedly created a clone war.

I had a really bad experience with it at first. Then I tried out Cloud and went back to BR540 about two months later... and the sugary sweetness & greatness was there :)
I can't find Cloud in my country, but I tried the Burberry one and it is nice

Aaaww, except for two, these are either dislikes or very underwhelming. The way people hyped Musc Ravageur, I was not expecting it to be so clean, more gourmand and kinda sweet. It's nice but I was expecting a different type of sexy. Looking forward to sampling Oud for Greatness, though.

@@hocineted7594 Not at all! I've sampled about 11 from the brand and they vary. The two "Monsieurs" are no doubt mature but the name is a bit of a give away there. The rest, as far as I can tell, are not necessarily mature and dressed up. The price though is another story. Lol! You can always try the discovery sets.
