Praying for big comeback! I had the SAME exact injury. Paralyzed from the next down, the bone in my spine, pinched the nerve, I started getting feeling back after surgery and by the grace of God I gained full feeling and can walk and move normally. Don't take anything for granted and be grateful for doctors and trainers! I now coach high school football and PREACH the importance of proper tackling. Prayers to a speedy 100% recovery.

You got this Dee you'll be back soon and better then ever. I went through an extreme obstacle this year with my football season too. Ended up getting hit wrong and went unconscious for around 2 hours and had to get airlfted. It was a head injury but it was the best possible outcome for the scenario and in your case I think its the same. Although you'll be out for awhile we all just hope you heal up and get well soon. I may not have been a D1 athlete but so much of my identity was in basketball that i turned to drugs and wasted away 10+ years in addiction. We’re all here for you Dee. My first season right before I became a freshman in high school I dove for a ball and landed on my shoulder. I ended up breaking my collarbone in 2 places. Your injury is worse then what mine was but it also could be worse than it is right now. It’s just a tiny obstacle in life. you just have to keep going and persevere. Your whole fanbase is here to support you through this. It has been awesome watching your journey and I hope I have the same amount of success you have had once I graduate from high school. Bro, You are truly blessed! Dec 2012, I crushed C5-C6 with all that pressing on my spinal cord. Like you, I couldn’t feel my left arm, remote fell out of my hand. By the grace of God I was not paralyzed, but needed emergency surgery. The recovery was strenuous but here I am…alive and well. I’m glad you made it. I love watching your videos and you inspire many of our youth. Keep up the positive vibes and I pray for your continued success in anything you do!
Neck injury like that is advisable not to play or you might not walk away. All it takes is a little more pressure on collapsing discs and you are partially paralyzed by pinched nerves. The pain never really goes away but you become numb to the fact you are hurting. Your body kind of contorts and adjusts for you. You could always have the surgery but that also comes with a long list of negatives. After a few years your nerves just die and you don’t hurt as bad. Sadly it’s probably time to investigate other things in life that don’t require possibly re injuring the neck.

Broke my back a week into my career that I was working to attain for 3 years. Doctors left me out to dry and my job left me with nothing, almost a year out from what I thought was the worst thing that could have happened to a young married man with two daughters, but the lessons ive learned and the progress I’ve made and where my family is in my new role has changed my mindset to be thankful that god had a different plan for me. Keep ya head on right and do what athletes do best and pivot.

Gotta get those kickers getting more reps doing form tackles in practice for this reason. I have a friend who got clipped and went face first into a running back’s planted knee… he wasn’t as lucky as you and now live’s as a quadriplegic. Keep in mind that while life can change faster than a blinking eye you still have what you almost lost. Learn from this, take it as a setback but don’t let it define you. The human body is extremely resilient and if you have dreams that you still want to see the light of day, work on getting better (work on tackling better too man damn lmao) and get back out there man. @@Manafexx shouldn't if your teammates get the tackle before it gets to you, but if they don't, it's the kicker's job to try to make the tackle. He said it was just bad form. Gotta get those kickers getting more reps doing form tackles in practice for this reason. That hit stick he delivered was strong tho - had he been in good form I would of swore that boy coulda been a safety 😅. I hope he tries again because I love rooting for him out there.

I have a friend who got clipped and went face first into a running back’s planted knee… he wasn’t as lucky as you and now live’s as a quadriplegic. Keep in mind that while life can change faster than a blinking eye you still have what you almost lost. Learn from this, take it as a setback but don’t let it define you. The human body is extremely resilient and if you have dreams that you still want to see the light of day, work on getting better (work on tackling better too man damn lmao) and get back out there man.
