Has anyone ever suggested Simple Green for getting the stains from the bottom half of white tail hair? Over 20 years ago that's what a person at a show told me they use and it really helps. I've tried 3 x to send a link and message about the fly predators we've used for many years and it never shows up. I think it goes to cyberspace cause there's a link in the message. We use Spalding Labs Fly Predators they have made a huge difference! No link this time, so hopefully it works, you can Google to find them if you want.
Nice grey horse .I'm up here in ontario canada and cold in winter. My good old buddy was also grey gone to white. I used to use Armorall car protector similar to Show Sheen. I would spray it into the hair only and rub it through. Then an old towel dampened with warm water , holding an end of the towel in either hand. I would comb through the tail hair with my fingers in the towel through the tail hair. The manure stains came right out and hair was sheer , no wet or cold hands. Julie in Ontario canada
This came out absolutely fantastic and quickly! Good to know. 🧐 I’m wondering if a coconut oil soak with some food grade hydrogen peroxide (diluted to the 3% ratio) added would work just as well? And be non-toxic? Likely take longer, but a tail wrap vet-wrapped just below the tailbone while it soaked would allow him to walk about. Because that mix whitens human teeth, AND pulls out toxins, why not hair? A lot of the same matrix. Let me know if you ever try this suggestion! Have a great day! 🦢🕊
This just came across my feed. Must be because of the last 2 comments I made. As soon as I saw this I bust out laughing. Ya know at this point with him preferring the dirty look proven by his rolling around in the dirt, I think you should just DYE IT!!😂😂
@@believeandseeranch each thing does something. The purple shampoo neutralizes the yellow stain colors as they are opposite on the color wheel (i think), dawn breaks down grease and is gentle enough to use, it also kills fleas, and it works together safely. With really good results!
You can use whatever you want. Theres lots of different ways to get a white tail clean. After researching & trial and error This is the process that works for me.
Very nice!
I can’t wait to see how beautiful he looks all cleaned up .
💛TR
He doesn’t stay that way very long 😆. At least his tail does

TH-cam tends to automatically block comments with links, to prevent scam bots supposedly, but it's super dumb

I was wondering if purple shampoo or treatment would come into play lol. It helped me tone down the brass colors when i bleached my hair
I’m not sure if it was the purple shampoo, the baking soda vinegar, the group, the Dawn or all of it 😂. But it works.

It's a constant struggle. I too have a grey horse. And she's big so over 5 feets of tail plus feathers on the legs... urgh
