I just thought I would take a moment to thank you for making these videos, Mr. Tomahawk. Since I am unable to see, I can still certainly play these kinds of games, but it’s nice to hear other people play them and especially when they are able to speed run the game the way you do. I appreciate all the videos that you put up, even if my favorite character is blaze. I still appreciate all the effort you put into improving your skills with Max. I look forward to the next mania speed through to see if you can beat your record.
Hi man, thank you for being a viewer too. I appreciate all the kind words. Can we just clarify what you mean, you said you cant see? I should be coming back to some speedruns again at some point :) Cheers.
@ yes, let me clarify what I mean. When I say that, I cannot see, I mean that I am completely blind. I have no site in either eye. But I love to listen to people like yourself who can play these games very well. I can play streets of rage 12 and three because they are pretty straightforward and they have nothing that you need to jump over or dodge, it’s just straight fighting the enemies as you progress through the game. I have to use memorization when I play these games to know where the breakable stuff is to get food and coins stuff like that. I hope that helps to clarify things.
@@MattExcalibur78 thats amazing that you can remember the details this way and also. that you can learn from other runs on youtube that do things in new and creative / different ways that you are used to! I wonder, is my channel useful to you since there are multiple of each kind of run? Are there any parts of the game you find most interesting or exciting from an auditory perspective / challenge perspective? I am very curious, it sounds like you will pick up on things that other people would not, who have full sight! Were you born this way or do you have memories of having a better vision? Also, I am sorry thats happened. It does sound like your making the most of things regardless which is fantastic. I assume you also love music? hehe sorry soo much questions. I am very intrigued. Cheers
@@mr_tomahawk oh yes, I certainly find your channel very useful. I love how quickly you are able to go through the game and you are always improving. I’ve also listened to the videos where you have obtained the world record for different difficulty levels using Max. I also listen to channels like @King_iOPA, as well as @Jlcheeze and @anthopants. I wonder if you still hold the records for some of the max difficulty levels. Will you ever consider playing Max on the streets of rage two new era mod?
@ thanks for the compliments. I have played SOR2 NE and the problem that I have with this game is the speedrun leaderboard is only for widescreen. Widescreen makes the game less speedrun friendly due to the lack of routing. For example because the screen is shorter you can get enemies every time if you plan a good route. New Era is more about improv and less routing due to the widescreen making it a game that i dont enjoy as much. As for life runs in NE, I dont enjoy the feeling of the game, the smooth weightless feel and the input latency. So for me I will never take it seriously. But i can say: check out the speedrun . com leaderboard to find some casual coop runs I have done with people like LordKianster (Current Max Mania Champ) and Smeggedhead: a fantastic Max Normal player who just got his first 23 minute speedrun.
