Wow, great. I make gift tags from Santa for the children, using a template I have and just attaching different names to it. So much easier than trying to write my own. But I do them all as print then cut.

Thanks! To see special characters in Windows 7, click the Start menu, type charmap in the Search box, and press Enter. Then choose the font you want to find special characters for, and when the characters come up, double-click the one you want to use and then click Copy. Go back to Design Space and paste it in. :)

When you enter the library cmd+F or ctrl+F will open the Find bar. Search font, all sorts of options will appear! 😊🌻

Hi Jennifer I just got my Cricut for my birthday this weekend and I am excited to get started. I have subscribed to everything you offer and I have watched several of your videos on you tube. I was wanting to try the gift tags but I cant see to upload the tag templates or your personal handwriting font, which is so cute btw. I have uploaded another SVG, just from the internet and that worked but I can't drag or get it by browsing. Hi, I've just got my Cricut maker to help with doing my wedding DIY and your channel/blog are my saviours. Thank you so much!!!! Hi Mariana!! First you will need to download my maker pen writing font #129, and then press the Window key and the letters q,w,e or o. To make the heart, with your cursor in the text box, press your back slash and the heart will appear.

I love these so much! I made the first batch "as is"--with the fonts and words that you have. However, I'm having trouble when I try to slice my own words into the blank tag with a new font--what happens is that the whole gift tag seems to "weld" together and the perforated cuts go away. Is there a workaround on this or am I doing it wrong? Thank you!!
Can you try metal tooling foil in your Cricut, like to make backslash tile?

Yes, you can make tags for all occasions. I used my penwriting font. :)

It sounds like you have your Cricut set for Print then Cut, Dana! That type of project has a maximum size of 6.75" x 9.25"! Are you a member of our Facebook group? Those are customized letters, but I believe I started with the Couture font at www.dafont.com/couture.font

Hello, I was wondering if you put anything over the hole on the top of single layer ones so they do not rip?
You could do that. You could even put transfer tape on both sides and hand cut them.

Can you use Cricut pens to write/draw on Htg including glitter. Should the infusible ink pens be used ?
The regular Cricut pens are regular pens used for writing. Infusible Ink pens need a high polyester count to work well. jennifermaker.com/cricut-infusible-ink/
My cricket will write, but it is always missing a random letter here or there or a missing line. How can I fix this?

I loved your video and then right to my Chromebook to practice with some handwriting fonts for writing and it doesn't show the scissors, I have the word cut and no option to change to write.

I don't remember exactly which one it was, but it was one of the Stencil fonts you can find on either Design Space or Dafonts! Pretty much any stencil font will match pretty closely! 🥰
What is the smallest you would recommend for the rip tags?
I would maybe say no smaller than 5 inches long.
These tags were the first thing I came across when I got my maker and I have been so excited to give them a go! On the plain one, I have tried to slice my own text out of it for a birthday but it removes the tear away cut lines when I do. Any suggestions?
Make sure that you are attaching your text where you want them to be...I'm wondering if that might be the case?
Hi Jennifer, I just found your channel today! So, so happy. Would this work in the Cricut Expression? Or what do you recommend?
Alas, the Cricut Expression is an older machine and is not supported by Cricut Design Space, which is how you upload the images I made. I know there used to be some third-party software called Sure Cuts a Lot that you could purchase to use with the Expression, but I am not sure if it still works or is still available to buy.
So my design space doesn't look like this I can't click on the cut word on the layers. how would I change it to write? when I do it on top I have to choose linetype and none of these look like the font Cricut sans. what am I doing wrong?

How can I change my cricut text in Design Space from' Print & Cut' to "Print" in the new design space software? I'm making gift tags and my Maker keeps cutting out the text letters after I've printed my tag design in Design Space. It looks like Cricut removed the "Print" option in their Operation drop down menu. Is there a way to send my design (image plus cricut text) to the printer and then have my machine just cut the tag shape? Thx

Are you using a Cricut Explore Air 2? My design space (on Windows 10) doesn't show the T or scissors icon under ungroup :(
The T is on the left hand side for text. Write what you want to say. Then on the layers panel on the right on the panel with the T and click on the Linetype and choose draw.

I have been trying to add the special to and from on my text. I have a hp so i press the windows icon and type on the Q and the start menu comes up, than i press on w and something else happens, same for E and R. Have tried like 10 times and nothing. Please help!!

Help I’m making very small stickers for my daughter’s friends wedding. They are very small . The vinyl is a galaxy style so it’s dark and light but the problem is that the pen I used will dry but grubs off . The writing is way to small to cut out . What should I do??????😢

Ahhh..I wrote out all the tags but you went so fast showing how to attach so the font will be written on the tag and I can't figure it out. Help!!!
Thank you for this tutorial and the freebies. I tried using your design and the fonts. When I attach the image with the font, the text disappear. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

What vinyl did you use for the enclosed gift tags? All my vinyl says Oracle 651 on the back and grid lines. Where do you get the vinyl with a plain white backing?
All the gift tags I made in this video are made from cardstock, not vinyl.
