    What a beautiful and traditional small southern town. They obviously have very forward thinking leadership that see the economic benefits of an infusion of new residents and money. That downtown area is ripe for new restaurants, coffee shops, microbreweries, and niche shops that draw people to the area and away from big box stores. Randy you have an opportunity to really change the town's trajectory and the city leaders know it. What am incredible turn of events and timing. I am so happy for you and everyone at ITH.

    Absolutely stunning. I want to come there and live. I could so thrive there. It looks like the perfect pace and size for me. My needs in walking and short drive distance. The fact that there is a hospital/medical facility right there also is an added advantage. Prayers up. 🙏🏾

    Hi Randy and folks looking to purchase a tiny home and place it somewhere but don't know where. Since Randy wanted to get out of the property mgmt piece and just build. I am a full-time Rver, currently at a place called Smugglers Roost in Animas NM - the mountains are stunning here. The owner is providing 99 year leases. You buy in at (I think it's) $12,000 and then it's only $50.00 (not a typo) a month. The lots are 30 by 100. There are a couple of people who have tiny homes here and they have decks, sheds and hardscaping. It is pretty remote, but there is a school and a medical center right next door. Like over the fence close. If you are struggling to pay for medications this town is very close to Mexico so you can get your medications for a fraction of the cost here. And nooo there aren't any people wandering around from Mexico here. I figured maybe a few of you might be interested. Randy, you might want to reach out to the owner. He's a good guy. Kind of reminds me of you. Hard working, trying to do the right thing. To offer your viewers something different so you don't have to improve properties to build tiny homes. Ohh and NM just passed a law that with 6 months domiciling in NM they can get free college. So for young people with or without kids, this might be a great place to consider living in. Just something to consider.

    Amanda, You do need an info sheet to cover basic questions. Nearest doctor and hospital. Employment rate. Tax rate (county and state). Crime rate. Location of big store districts: walmart, etc. Vet. Dentist. school ranking. Gyms available. I don't think SC is anymore tornado prone than Tennessee. This place looks lovely. Personally, I think this style of housing in small towns is the future of our country. My son told me yesterday that replacing the roof on his house will cost $22,000 and I thought, "Son, you can have a tiny home for that and pocket money every month." Just saying...

    • @michaelclark4357
      @michaelclark4357 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      All of that information is relatively easy to look up. Not every detail about a place needs to be put into a video. However I do agree that all the basic common sense item should be in there over the course of a few video's.

    I LOVE the look of Abbeville! However, I am looking at living coastal again and once lived on the DELMARVA (which stands for Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia) peninsula. It's VERY economical and completely surrounded by water in some areas. Famous towns like Chincoteague Island, and Ocean City, as well as the notable Tangier and Smith Islands, are in the bay there. I almost bought a THOW shell and was going to fix it up at a boat builder's storage in Crisfield and they were cool with it. So was the campground there. Old towns like this with even older houses are dying out there in some places such as Snow Hill and the town I lived in, Greenbackville..which is right on the water! Salisbury, Md is the only city I went there (and honestly not that cute), a better town in my humble opinion was Onancock, VA. It's all low-lying farms and woods there. Please look into it Randy and team the whole thing is pretty much overlooked and economical!

      @@Faithful525 I think GiGi tends to be "The Cup Is Half Empty" kind of person & extrapolates her negatives because so many rural & semi-rural towns have tended to empty some or decrease in population over the last few decades. So what if that is the case here as long as the Infrastructure, the Buildings and most importantly the various townspeople(the lady from the nearby college didn't need to hear much & within just 2 minutes was a enthusiastic "I Vote Yes" supporter. In fact there is so many good warm forward thinking positives when it comes to this hidden gem of a big town. One can only imagine what just a 100 new residents would mean economically and also in a numerous other ways to this town. And what a boost it would be for everyone and the town if there was a total of 200 new residents there within a couple of years. We could easily make a list of over a hundred positives for this wonderful new tiny home community on the edge of this beautiful town. "I Vote Yes!" Indeed! 👍👍😊

      @@michaelclark4357 while what she said is kinda negative Nancy, some is true. Of course you need to check the area. But, so much of what's happening to small towns these days... unemployment, drugs, homelessness and being unkempt, are beyond the scope of the city to remedy. Concerned citizens can be a huge help. Get involved. Become the change. Volunteer, start a business, hire locals. Every little bit helps. The city is going to help with rising housing costs by inviting ITH to move there and clearing any red tape issues. It's a start. Hopefully some families will be able to take advantage too. If I was ready financially I'd be signing up today! Great job as always you two...and Carson 👏👏👏 bravo!

If you need vehicle protection then plan on putting up a canopy of some kind. For storage of "some things" then a small shed is the ticket.

    Hey Randy and Amanda! Looks to me like the two of you are enjoying your trip to Abbeville. The community looks so vintage; what with all the old brick buildings. The reason for my comment is because of the subject of this video. The search for places to start ITH communities. I didn't know if you two were aware that the state of West Virginia is offer $20,000 incentives to individuals willing to relocate to various areas there...remote workers and technology professionals as well. The incentives seem to be tailored to the individual communities; some offering just dollars. Others cash and different types of other incentives. Naturally, it was that $20,000 figure that made the light bulb in my head go off. Lol! Wouldn't that be a great way to use those incentive dollars to get those of us who are of little means into one of your incrediboxes? Just throwing it out there. Maybe you could check into it...Wouldn't it be wonderful to have one of your communities there? The entire state beautiful!

    @Incredible Tiny Homes this town is beautiful and I’m sure your new community will be too. I look forward to finding out more about it and perhaps purchasing one. Also, there are already a lot of scammers on here promoting their fake money making scams and advisors. Is there a way that you can block them?

    Hello so I've been looking into tiny home living and relocating for months now the thing is me and my fiance are both permanently disabled and each get our own income once a month so it's kinda hard to buy a tiny home up front I was wondering if you guys do anything like a rent to own ? Thank you and have a blessed day

      If your credit is OK find a bank that will offer a personal loan.

    Nice community, with buildings with character are in mint condition. Grounds looks really nice and the whole community has a nice charm to it. I get a "Mayberry RFD" vibe. (From the Andy Griffith show, and also Mt. Pleasant, which there is a town in South Carolina called, Mt. Pleasant near the coast).

    This will be great for ITH. You can do different sections, like you did in the original communities, so you have the different personalities. 😏

    If I could only talk family into relocating, out of California. " I'd be there already, and waiting on an ITH, tiny house." IJS

    I hate to put a dampener on this but the minimum wage there is $7.25, which would make it a no go for most working people interested in moving there. It would still be good for retirees or remote workers. I wish that I could afford to do it.

    Very nice. What makes those historic houses and businesses look so nice is very few had power lines going to them in the front. Great planning since it looked like they were in the back or side of the properties. If this town has gotten its "past issues" behind them (I didn't see any "stars and bars" flying) I say "all systems go" in building there.

      A town in SC without stars and bars. I don't think that's possible. More military retirees in SC that any other state last I heard.

    Where is this place?

      @michaelclark4357 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's in a land called Abbeville, South Carolina not too far away, 140 miles from Newport, Tennessee. At times Randy Jones & Amanda looked like they were time traveling in a old Star Trek episode. 😉😊

    I love it. However, they have a lot of tornadoes. Make sure that all those tiny homes are prepared and tied down. Aldo South Carolina is a liberal state with 78% Christians. Sounds and looks delightful.

    • @sparklej1142
      @sparklej1142 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Are you sure they're liberal? I lived there growing up and those that I knew were conservative, mostly. 78% Christian, Southern usually means quite conservative. Rather like Tennessee.

      @wienkecat ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sparkle J I was looking online they said liberal with 78% Christian. Is it a Red state?

    • @wienkecat
      @wienkecat ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just looked it up again, and another location says conservative. Republican state.
      Abbeville violent crime is 34.9. (The US average is 22.7)
      Abbeville property crime is 56.5. (The US average is 35.4)

      Possibly people can just be people without consideration of political parties. I know good and bad people on both sides of the aisle. I live in SC and most all are very cordial. There is a growing crime rate here, just like the rest of the country. Drugs are here too, just like everywhere else... unfortunately 🥺 As for tornadoes, I've lived here 15 years and have never seen one. They do occur, and they are dangerous, so I would definitely invest in hurricane tie downs. If they really make you nervous, check with local authorities. There may be a school, church or municipal building that has a basement they use as a shelter.
