I was a HS student in Iowa in 1987 when Jesse Jackson spoke at our school. He often said, "Keep Hope Alive!" and also "Up With Hope, Down With Dope!"
Those are good snippets taken from his 1988 Democratic Convention speech and well put together but the entire speech is well worth listening to and I hereby encourage people to look it up on YT. I think I might know it by heart.
