From Being Triggered to Maturity - Thomas Hübl & Terry Real

The most critical question in relationships is, which part of you am I speaking to? To the triggered, history-based part of you? Or to the functional, adult, here and now part of you. And: we are not the first ones that are trying out how we live intimate relationships. We are not the first ones that heal our wounds. I see our bodies as a huge library, with tons of information. The basic attention to every pattern is: we are not exploring a problem, we are exploring an intelligent function that is most probably outdated today, but it was very intelligent when we have developed it. And in the moment I get the access code to that programming level, I can actually shift it.

The fact we need to update it and that it stays stuck/fossilized.. I'd love to unpack that.. we were designed to need to go on this journey and the juice of life is tapped by the need to become conscious of the unconscious, deliberately formed by the fossilisation of programming (to tense, to defend etc and other automatic unconscious survival strategies) .. I say this because otherwise, the intelligence you speak to, could be questioned as to why does it not update itself? But if it's all intelligent design then that might well be because it is what catalyses our growth in objective awareness through our need to review again and again from a new perspective and see the story from another angle...
