at least twice a year you still have to open the top and soap & water clean under and around the flapper to make sure it moves freely and remains like new clean.
The purple primer is actually supposed to clean off the pipe surface as well as the ink from the letters clean very well not just paint the pipe also the primer isn't just for cleaning it also fuses with the glue the combination of the two melts the pipe causing a weld

That is indeed correct. It is by no means maintenance free but a lot less work then repeatedly cleaning a flooded basement.

you keep mentioning that you HOPE the pipe is deep enough,just verify with a sewer camera and locator BEFORE you open up.

I have installed exact the same model and it does not work, I have to do it manually to stop the water coming in when I have rainy day.
