Y’all gotta find a happy medium to this. I understand there could’ve been some pretty heavy fallout after last year’s battle but the rules y’all imposed (especially at the end of the event) only brought the energy down further. If we want other dancers to feel comfortable at our events, we need them to be knowledgeable about how our events/style operates-not watering our own culture down at our own events. That’s not what we go to EBS for. And don’t bring these two (Kefton & Nelson) back-look like they just tryna make a check.
There's so much to criticize about this battle but it's actually unfair on the dancers who are the victims here. I blame the DJ for everything. The atmosphere was just not good and it all rolls downhill from bad song choice. It would be better to do do the exhibition last after the crowd has warmed up, the fact that this vid got uploaded already makes me believe this took place early in the event. This wasn't even a case of inviting the wrong dancers, every dancer up there is top tier and Kefton + the 2 Krumpers are insane beatkillers/crowdpleasers, again verifying my belief that the DJ ruined the battle. Some blame goes to the event organizers but good music would have fixed that.
I really don't get why the atmosphere was weird (BEFORE the battle even started). Note how the host could barely muster a cheer. In any case I think the right music would have fixed any tension, fatigue or whatever the hell was going on there.

If crowd fatigue truly is the villain then they really should split the event across two days. Kefton and nelson have both disrespected krump before, acting like krumpers were monkeys. Tight eyez called Nelson out, but due to injuries he couldnt dance so Kefton did for him, which Eyez won, and the beef has been there since then.
