I went high school with Tight Eyez. Graduated 2002 and he was doing this during lunch then. We all were but he was always the best because he created it. It's something God put in him. So proud to see him standing up for righteousness in a world that hates God.
Tight Eyez is the beginning and after all these years the world, all of us and krump has changed A LOT. But he is still behind it will all his heart you can see and feel it whenever he dances. Krump is so much more than just technique, different from many other dancestyles. You can feel the energy when someone is really behind it

An Ambassador for Christ & The fatherly Heavenly Lord, TightEyez does krump because This is GIFT given and founded him that only a few do it for the good and right intentions to EXPRESS one self of rhythmic, freestyle, & griddy dance. At first I watched this as a head to head, then it became more. Tight Eyex will always be the start of Krump, from the outside in, I don't think Eyex is forcing anything on anyone, he's just telling his lived experience of what it is for him. As for the behind the scenes and training, and labs, who knows. But I'm glad at the end of the day they can come closer to settling a beef in rounds, and just hope that it leads to healing with one another. Respect Beast too because on top of going head to head, the history they have must've been hella emotional. I see Beast's point, as a newer Krumper these past years all I've seen is Beast battling everyone. He's put in work just the same, all in the name of Krump, and uplifting and teaching the new gen. The Krump community will always be stronger together, I feel we just got revitalized, I don't want to be divided again. Tight eyez. I have so much respect for his craft & skill. I feel like this, dude literally learned from every battle he's ever had & literally created the perfect krump style. You don't have to understand krump, one thing you cannot deny is that It takes skill to do everything this man is doing... The way he coordinates certain moves is crazy. He constantly stated he did not learn anything from Eyez and it shows. Tight Eyez always pushes his little homies to not depend on crowd hype and be able to go more than 3 rounds, and Beast is proof of that. He went round for round with Eyez and did not care about crowd hype. That was Eyez whole point at the end, he holds a certain standard and never stops trying to get better. Others like Bad Newz are trying to call themselves leaders but they don't dedicate the time. He would have earned the people's respect if he matched Eyez with quality rounds, but he could not go more than two rounds, and he is a OG in Krump.

Im at the 40 minute mark, and Tight Eyex is CLEARLY eatin both of them up, theres a huge difference between having the crowd hype you up, and MAKING THE CROWD TURN INTO HYPE, Eyex is on a different level, he becomes the beat, not once did he ever get lost in translation, every word was spoken and heard. Put the actual beef to the side, Tight Eyex is CLEARLY beyond Bad News and Beast, in every round, so far from what I've seen at 40 minutes. NOT TAKING AWAY ANY PROPS FROM EITHER OF THEM THO, they was gettin off for sure. Beast was goin crazy in every one of his rounds. Badnewz was solid his last round was incredible. But hands down Eyex responded in a major way every time.

The problem with this battle is that it is misplaced. Badnewz couldn't keep up and left it to Beast. Meanwhile, the battle wasn't meant for Beast but he inserted himself into it due to his intentional misinterpretation of Tight Eyez song ("Meet Me Outside").

I'm a Salsa Dancer... Krump is probably totally the opposite of what I do. But I must admit that this has been very impressive. When I saw this video was 1:20 hours long, I was like: "There is no way I'm watching this for over 10 minutes." I'm at 28:51... and I have 2 things to say: 1)This guy Tight Eyez has been kicking their butts for over 20 minutes. What a massacre. Very enjoyable to watch I should add. 2)I think I'll be able to watch the whole thing.
I'd like to share a perspective from someone older and outside of this community who has studied krump for 4 years. Those rounds from Eyex were incredible, esp that first one. I do wish he didn't spend so much time exalting himself and putting others down. You can never do enough of that to satisfy what's compelling you to do it in the first place. It's a black hole formed out of childhood wounding, and it's your responsibility to heal it rather than lash out at others. I'm in my late 40's, and some of you are right behind me. Eventually you're not going to be able to be kings of the streets anymore. When it comes to being a teacher and leader, what will be remembered is how you made others feel and how you lifted them up so they can speak independently... and with THEIR OWN voice. Honestly... I was really happy to finally hear other leaders speak up say they're tired of the put downs. Eyex, I wish you'd respect the contributions of people who came after you. I appreciate so much that Beast gives other teachers a place to share their knowledge. As a beginner with no dance background, I just couldn't follow your videos. Trust me, I tried. I found the style of teaching confusing. Telling people to "lab on it" without teaching how specifically to lab is not helpful at all. We don't all have 14 hours a day to practice dancing. The way you teach in those original videos assumes that we all have dance backgrounds and can read between the lines, which I didn't and couldn't. Beast brings in teachers with unique voices that appeal to all different levels and a wider range of people. Anyway, dope video. I'm happy I found krump. It rewired my brain in ways I never expected. My creativity has shot through the roof in all areas of my life as a result. So grateful to the creators who share this art form with all of us. Peace.

At the end of the day it goes back to the old adage that we all touch a different part of the elephant blindfolded. No one is wrong for describing a tusk when another can only feel its hide. But true ignorance and dissonance occurs when we refuse to accept that krump is and will always be UNIVERSAL just like any other art… yes you have to pay homage and know the roots (thats all street art/cultures basic rule) but you dont have to live it to a T… if that were the case… no one would still be getting buck smh

I have very smart friends... yet some of the smartest philosophical thoughts I've ever heard came from the mouths of krumpers. That line above was one of them. I'd love to record a Zoom call with a handful of smart krumpers and talk about the consciousness and personal growth that comes from doing this art. I think people might be interested in a more conscious conversation instead of the gossip that stinks up social media and gives the world a bad impression of us. We need a deeper, smarter conversation around this art form and what it can do for people. My first teacher here in Boston said something interesting when I first got started. "Krumpers are a different kind of people. You can take a salsa lesson and 2 hours later you can dance with someone. With krump, you can't do anything for 6 months! It takes a different kind of dedication to stick with that."

This was BY FAR one of the BEST messages/ krump / dance/ videos I've ever seen, every dance arena or arena of entertainment needs this type of footage, for the competitors, viewers, and the future of it all, I've always thought Tight Eyez was one of the BEST, not just KRUMPERS but DANCERS I've ever seen, but that doesn't make him A great person, no one's perfect, like someone else commented, "He's human" 🤷🏾♂️ so he was born with the curse of being imperfect, (side note Michael Jordan)... and if there are more people that feel the way Beast and Bad news feel it just needs to be heard sometimes that's all, AND THINK ABOUT IT everyone who's a GREAT. or LEGEND has a story behind their passion of being how they are❤

As I watch this over and over. It doesn't look like he wanted to battle Beast that night. His Krump energy was totally different between Beast and Bad Newz. He looked like he wanted Bad Newz.
This footage is a monumental moment within krump! That speech by Eyex was POWERFUL! God vs the anti-Christ spirit! But what Badnewz doesn't understand is that it's not about his dance, but his spirit. From the jump of this video he introduced a spirit that was prideful, egotisitcal, and filled with envy. This was such a animosity battle. The pain from all but the spiritual release from them three needed yo be there. I've followed Krump for 10+ years and got mad respect for the creator but even though Tight Eyez may have had 'better' rounds, this battle wasn't about that. It's about Tight Eyez feeling like Krump is going different directions, and being unsupportive of other peoples truths. As mentioned by Beast at 42:55 "All you do is tear us down", and by Bad News at the end that he started the 818 yet whenever saw Tight Eyez he made fun of him. That speech by Tight Eyez at the end felt insincere tbh throwing around words like humble and forgiveness, and even at the end when Beast said "I love you bro, its just a different time, a time to talk", Tight Eyez took it as a threat responding "what time is it then?". I think this exchange really was Tight Eyez feeling distance from the Krump he created and Krump now, and OGs like Beast who founded Beastcamp who were trying to dance some sense into him that he's not left behind, and still respected but he needs to see that.

I give respect to all the krump dancers in the whole entire world. I watched it evolve and change every year. Tight Eyez and Mijo are the originators. I have watched alot of these krump dancers jump from family to family. I give Tight Eyez the up most respect. Because even since way back he has extending his training out to everybody. I'm talking about way back. When damn near whole eyez family was training the slayer family. What if all these krump kings didn't train anybody and just kept it strictly LA? Where you think krump would be now? I mean krump has expanded to foreign countries. Krump dancing is just a form of expressing emotions and the art of dance. When people had real beef to the point that they wanted to throw hands. This was that outlet to settle their differences. I used to dance way back. I'm from Las Vegas. When we first heard about krump. We witnessed first hand. Everybody in Vegas was going out to Cali to train with the krump kings. Momma Eyez and Tight Eyez opened their home up for the opportunity for people to come train and lab up. So I'm glad that the creators shared this blessing with us and the world. In my opinion my favorite krump dancers is Crush Oxy Cannon Ruin Solow and forever the Queen Qween B. These are 4eva my favorite. If there was anybody that I wanted to train under. It would be under one of these five. Every single krump dancer has their own style. But remember that they all have trained under somebody. Peace & Blessings

Forget who won or lost This conversation needed to be had and regardless tight eyez makes these conversations happen. The only thing I have to really speak on is how badnewz talks about krumpin and being a forefather but didn’t handle the issue with krump. I guarantee if it were Mijo or any of the other OG’s we would have been watching a much longer and higher intensity krump battle even with the conversation after. News had a couple of rounds and decided to leave then come back rather than battle it out and then talk. Beast really took alot of the blast and had the most pain in this battle because he loves eyez like a father and honestly watching them battle has that same energy especially in the “where’s the buck?” round. That is hard to watch for me knowing how far they propelled each other. Eyez may not be the easiest teacher for everyone but if we look at his lil homies, his style of teaching is telling people their flaws and it’s frustrating to hear all the time however it does bring out their best and he is as hard on them as he is on himself. Personally I don’t like how he grabs on beast and etc cause I know beast can’t match that type of krump and has too much respect for people to even do it and as a man it’s disrespectful and uncalled for. Nobody is perfect but there is a history of eyez getting ungodly in krump. 1) when he kicked junior. 2) when he grabbed that girl’s hair in the crowd during the battle with beast before this. At first I watched this as a head to head, then it became more. Tight Eyex will always be the start of Krump, from the outside in, I don't think Eyex is forcing anything on anyone, he's just telling his lived experience of what it is for him. As for the behind the scenes and training, and labs, who knows. But I'm glad at the end of the day they can come closer to settling a beef in rounds, and just hope that it leads to healing with one another.
Respect Beast too because on top of going head to head, the history they have must've been hella emotional. I see Beast's point, as a newer Krumper these past years all I've seen is Beast battling everyone. He's put in work just the same, all in the name of Krump, and uplifting and teaching the new gen.

I'm a Salsa Dancer... Krump is probably totally the opposite of what I do. But I must admit that this has been very impressive. When I saw this video was 1:20 hours long, I was like: "There is no way I'm watching this for over 10 minutes."

I'd like to share a perspective from someone older and outside of this community who has studied krump for 4 years. Those rounds from Eyex were incredible, esp that first one. I do wish he didn't spend so much time exalting himself and putting others down. You can never do enough of that to satisfy what's compelling you to do it in the first place. It's a black hole formed out of childhood wounding, and it's your responsibility to heal it rather than lash out at others.
I'm in my late 40's, and some of you are right behind me. Eventually you're not going to be able to be kings of the streets anymore. When it comes to being a teacher and leader, what will be remembered is how you made others feel and how you lifted them up so they can speak independently... and with THEIR OWN voice. Honestly... I was really happy to finally hear other leaders speak up say they're tired of the put downs.
Eyex, I wish you'd respect the contributions of people who came after you. I appreciate so much that Beast gives other teachers a place to share their knowledge. As a beginner with no dance background, I just couldn't follow your videos. Trust me, I tried. I found the style of teaching confusing. Telling people to "lab on it" without teaching how specifically to lab is not helpful at all. We don't all have 14 hours a day to practice dancing. The way you teach in those original videos assumes that we all have dance backgrounds and can read between the lines, which I didn't and couldn't. Beast brings in teachers with unique voices that appeal to all different levels and a wider range of people.
Anyway, dope video. I'm happy I found krump. It rewired my brain in ways I never expected. My creativity has shot through the roof in all areas of my life as a result. So grateful to the creators who share this art form with all of us. Peace.

I love the way krumpers think, man. This art form does something to your brain. I'm in Boston and live pretty close to Harvard and MIT. I have very smart friends... yet some of the smartest philosophical thoughts I've ever heard came from the mouths of krumpers. That line above was one of them.
I'd love to record a Zoom call with a handful of smart krumpers and talk about the consciousness and personal growth that comes from doing this art. I think people might be interested in a more conscious conversation instead of the gossip that stinks up social media and gives the world a bad impression of us. We need a deeper, smarter conversation around this art form and what it can do for people.
My first teacher here in Boston said something interesting when I first got started. "Krumpers are a different kind of people. You can take a salsa lesson and 2 hours later you can dance with someone. With krump, you can't do anything for 6 months! It takes a different kind of dedication to stick with that."

I've followed Krump for 10+ years and got mad respect for the creator but even though Tight Eyez may have had 'better' rounds, this battle wasn't about that. It's about Tight Eyez feeling like Krump is going different directions, and being unsupportive of other peoples truths. As mentioned by Beast at 42:55 "All you do is tear us down", and by Bad News at the end that he started the 818 yet whenever saw Tight Eyez he made fun of him. That speech by Tight Eyez at the end felt insincere tbh throwing around words like humble and forgiveness, and even at the end when Beast said "I love you bro, its just a different time, a time to talk", Tight Eyez took it as a threat responding "what time is it then?". I think this exchange really was Tight Eyez feeling distance from the Krump he created and Krump now, and OGs like Beast who founded Beastcamp who were trying to dance some sense into him that he's not left behind, and still respected but he needs to see that.

This is one of those cases that shows battles don't solve everything, because Eyez won. They need have a REAL conversation cuz it seems like there's REAL beef.

I give respect to all the krump dancers in the whole entire world. I watched it evolve and change every year. Tight Eyez and Mijo are the originators. I have watched alot of these krump dancers jump from family to family.
I give Tight Eyez the up most respect.
Because even since way back he has extending his training out to everybody. I'm talking about way back. When damn near whole eyez family was training the slayer family.
What if all these krump kings didn't train anybody and just kept it strictly LA? Where you think krump would be now? I mean krump has expanded to foreign countries. Krump dancing is just a form of expressing emotions and the art of dance. When people had real beef to the point that they wanted to throw hands. This was that outlet to settle their differences. I used to dance way back. I'm from Las Vegas. When we first heard about krump. We witnessed first hand. Everybody in Vegas was going out to Cali to train with the krump kings.
Momma Eyez and Tight Eyez opened their home up for the opportunity for people to come train and lab up.
So I'm glad that the creators shared this blessing with us and the world.
In my opinion my favorite krump dancers is Crush Oxy Cannon Ruin Solow and forever the Queen Qween B. These are 4eva my favorite. If there was anybody that I wanted to train under. It would be under one of these five. Every single krump dancer has their own style. But remember that they all have trained under somebody.

Metal made a great point. This battle needed to happen at home. This would be entirely different with all the OGs around. He talkin' to people in another country who are just gonna shut up and listen with no input. Konkrete, Ryat, Solow, Prissy, Mijo, Spartan, etc. would have something to say.

This conversation needed to be had and regardless tight eyez makes these conversations happen.
The only thing I have to really speak on is how badnewz talks about krumpin and being a forefather but didn’t handle the issue with krump. I guarantee if it were Mijo or any of the other OG’s we would have been watching a much longer and higher intensity krump battle even with the conversation after. News had a couple of rounds and decided to leave then come back rather than battle it out and then talk.
Beast really took alot of the blast and had the most pain in this battle because he loves eyez like a father and honestly watching them battle has that same energy especially in the “where’s the buck?” round. That is hard to watch for me knowing how far they propelled each other.
Eyez may not be the easiest teacher for everyone but if we look at his lil homies, his style of teaching is telling people their flaws and it’s frustrating to hear all the time however it does bring out their best and he is as hard on them as he is on himself.
Personally I don’t like how he grabs on beast and etc cause I know beast can’t match that type of krump and has too much respect for people to even do it and as a man it’s disrespectful and uncalled for.
Nobody is perfect but there is a history of eyez getting ungodly in krump.
1) when he kicked junior.
2) when he grabbed that girl’s hair in the crowd during the battle with beast before this.
These are just off of the top but everyone has flaws but I gotta say regardless, I have started to feel like God hasn’t been represented in krump as of recently even tonight during this video.
Didn’t feel like God to me it felt like pride, envy, greed, and wrath. Everyone has their deadly sin and eyez’ sin is and has always been wrath.
Good krump battle but there is clearly a divide between krump as it was founded and krump as it has evolved.

2. Krump is eyex’s language and he embodies it even it’s flaws. When he said I know you by name and pointed people out it showed the difference between saying you showed up and proving you showed up.
3. Krump is still competitive and will always be.
4. Beast is definitely his own style and form now but he has found krump based off of the eyez foundation. Which does contribute to why he is so raw.
5. Newz Saying his brother is with him when he krumps seems false, ngl giving 2 rounds out of an hour exchange is not matching up with the words he is speaking. If im krumpin when im pissed it can go for 2 hours easy.
6. Newz said he hasn’t learned from anyone especially eyez and then at 1:15:32 he says he uses elements from all of the OG krumpers including eyez.
