It''s really hard for me to get excited about the Nord Piano 6 as the previous 5 models were so excellent. Multiple layers just don't excite me. The previous ones were really well captured and processed with great action, feel and sound.
did you try nord grand 2? I stuck i a decision of buying between the two, I mean I really hate the looks of nord grands, it's the only thing that stops me from buying. but Im so temped by the kawaii hammer action.
Yeah they were ahead of time with the G2. Now is the time for such an instrument. They could start by recompiling the G2 software for modern computers 😬
That would be sooooo much work, and now there are native competitors such as VCV (and many others) and even some other hardware options (Urano, Zoia, etc)... so, that's a tough ask. The 2nd suggestion, to recompile NM G2 for modern systems, maybe that could make sense someday, as a nostalgic thing?
@@truecuckoo in theory this shouldn't be too hard, given that the monophonic demo app works fine without the need for the actual hardware. mine works fine on win10.
@@psylencecy yeah with some level of windows emulation it is probably possible to get it to work on a Mac too. It probably wouldn’t take an intern that long to get it up and running on a modern Mac though. When a car manufacturer makes a car, they commit to something like 30 years of service. In this case I think when the software is like 75% of the product experience, they should’ve had the same mindset.
If they wanted to nearly go out of business again trying to placate the customers every need and desire I would agree. Maybe if they set a feature set and stuck with it only with paid expansions It would work.
@@Paul.Stanley Jacob responded to me earlier about this exact question. He thinks it’s the same. My P5 is now 2 months in warranted repair because keybed velocity sensor malfunction.
Just don't understand how they can justify the increased price from the already expensive Nord Piano 5 with basically no real new feature that piano players want. A lot of sales BS like "It's compatible with Nord Speakers and has triple sensor keyboard". No need to get a Nord Piano 6 for that. At least they could have added some new Piano samples and increased the memory.
So, let me present you THE CAR… It has wheels - just look at those! Amazingly, it features a windshield. What i really like is that it has a steering wheel. And my favourite - it costs less than 3 Toyotas of similar size. What a marvel!
@@daz3434b Why do you say that? 2GB is more than enough when you have XL piano sizes, far and away the largest samples that don’t exceed 203MB. How many large pianos do you need on top of the EPs? You still have 1GB for synth section.
Still the same old unbalanced outputs, the same old keyboard (not even a Kawai refresh) and no built in audio interface. Apart from a few sliders and some minor tweaks, it’s hardly groundbreaking - more like the antique, formerly known as the RD2000 which got an EX stuck on it. It seems, in fairness to Nord, that all manufacturers are now increasingly hedging their bets rather than moving things on. Sign of the (economic?) times.
Underwhelming demo of an underwhelming product. The guy, within a few minutes, is struggling to think of anything new to say. So in desperation, he introduces the ‘new on this model’ triple pedal. Er, sorry to shatter the illusion but that’s been included on Nord pianos since the beginning. It’s the equivalent of a car manufacturer saying in 2025: “…..and in our latest model we introduce (drumrolls……) electric windows.
As a piano player who has a Nord Piano 3.. I don't really see anything improved to the still plast-ey keys. A measly 2gb storage in 2025?? - is this even going to fit all pianos and any thing new? The strings had no effort to blend and I can hear the sharp cutoff - my 30 yeah old Yamaha Clavinova has better handling of strings... these are the only layers real piano players want, all these try hard 1970's synth things are never really used in real life.. piano players just want a good sounding string with the piano!! I dunno what others think but more dials and buttons for the PIANO but miss the point of a piano for piano players.. The same old white grand sample is getting really boring after 6 years... I like Nord but I hate the fact they turned into apple and give a little tiny bit of improvement each version.. but keep on ignoring the major flaws.. I think Clavia need to wake up because you can get a cheap keyboard (which has better more heavy keys) and just use a PC/Tablet and use VST's so the piano sound doesn't sound stale. (but hey Clavia don't read these comments as they are too good).
Buyer beware! No question Nord has the best samples. Unfortunately, the Fatar keybed is prone to breakdowns. My new Piano 5 (same keybed as Nord Piano 6) has been in repair for two months. At least 3 keys (some of the more frequently played above middle C) have lost their ability to accurately recognize a variety of velocity levels, defaulting to the loudest sample with only medium pressure. This makes it unplayable in performance or recording. Most disappointing.
Great playing! Well rounded instrument. Nord has such a wonderful couple of upright pianos, which is totally my vibe. ❤
Thanks! 🫶
Jacob makes it sound so good!
Jacob is amazing! I'm glad he's around, nice to see great musicians showcasing the stuff
Wow, fantastic play!
Lovely sounds
Great demo thank you
Jacob is such a stud. Any piano next to him looks even better 😅

They should make a NEW Nord Modular G3

It’s now a mini stage 4.
Nice playing Jacob ! … 😊 looking forward to play the Nord piano 6 … for the moment, I can’t say which brand can do better than Clavia. ❤Nord sounds!
Is there a big difference between Piano 5 and Piano 6’s keybed?

The man can play!!
It’s lovely! Thinking though, maybe we’ll get a pitch bend on the Piano 10?
Jacob is a great presenter and an even better player, nice job 👍
Jacob, you went from Sweetwater to Nord???
I'm stilllll waiting for a Nord 4p Drums

Nord Lead 5, please?
Great instrument but……PLEASE ,PLEASE Nord, put pitch stick and mod wheel on the Piano and Electro!!!!!
Does it have a new Keybed?
For piano focused playing, any reason to upgrade from the Piano 5? Any difference in the actions between the Piano 5 and Piano 6?
Il piano è sicuramente buono, il musicista è perfetto.
super

I’m shocked there was no Nord Electro announced
let the musician play that instrument ... excellent performance :)
Still the best
contemporary Pelle Mode dedicated synth please!
Anyone know if they have lost the ability to effect low pass filter with dynamics like my old piano 3? Looks like it judging by the panel :(
It has Synth sounds - but no Pitch/MOD wheel?
Ehh ??
nobody will understand... 3599€ - no pitchbend... WHY??? Dear customer, we like to push you away bec. we leave out a $5 Device. 😀

come on clavia... make a synth :(
Imagine a Nord Lead 5 😍😍

I'm really bothered and triggered why they are holding back features we know will be there in Nord piano 7 and Nord piano 8.
Keep an eye out for Roland's bots complaining in this comment section
Why would they? They’re just as bad at wringing out old gear (RD2000 anyone?) for all it’s worth.
Who are you?
I often ask myself that very question.
So cheap on memory that dementia is becoming a serious problem regarding pricing.

Like 120 gigs to pay for it.
Gigging always sucked. Stay in the studio.
I don't know whether to buy a Nord piano or Jacob.....
Is it just me or is the strings ass?
I heard note stealing.

Not true at all. The new pedal is Nord’s adaption of the much more robust (in build and function) Kawai GFP-3 that comes with the MP11SE.
