Are you using pre coated encaustic boards or are you precoating them woth encaustic gesso? Just wondering if coating the boards is a necessary step?🙂

Loved the part about your choice of paper -- wondering if you can comment on commercial photo paper? Like the typical stuff you'd get where you'd get photos printed I mean... Wondering if it must be more porous than that! Thank you!!
