hey man i’ve been wanting to get an rsx and i’ve notice that the dc5 is the jdm version and i’m obsessed with the jdm cars but it seems to me the rsx type s is faster on paper but barley, i’m wondering if you could give me advice, cuz my idea is to buy an type s but try to make it have the full jdm aesthetic, i just want your intake on the dc5 vs type s which is is faster, because for example if you where driving a type s would you still have won all those races?
This is the type s. USA version. You’re probably talking about the type R. The type R brings the k20a which people actually swap for instead of the one that the USA version brings, which is the k20a2 for thr 2002-2004 and the k20z1 in the 2005-2006
I’ve heard of kpro being really good and the “good brand” and I just wanted to get the best I could for tuning, in specific for having a good dyno tune!
@@Wide_dc5 man sorry to tell you but that’s a high reading dyno, my tuner tunes and dynos z1 FBO RSX Type s’s all the time and owns a Dynojet which is the best brand of all dynos. Each dyno reads differently.

Haven’t experienced using ktuner but ive seen good results too between 210-215whp. Depends on performance set up. You’ll probably make anywhere from 210-220 whp
I would expect that you having 230whp you would annihilate a stock g37 but you end up losing. I don’t understand. I had a fiesta ST making 260wtq and 210 whp I pulled away from stock ones no problem.

here in Canada kept up with a 2003 or so G35 Sedan in my daily EP3 hatch that has 354,000kms(220,000 miles) with an intake and straight pipe.

Did you have to use the jumper harness to get Kpro to work on the 05?
Yes but you have to use a 02-04 type s ECU still too

Ohhh yes for sure I just shifted at low RPMs ! I slip a lot in the rain. I have federal 595s , 225/35/18.

I have many other RSX buddies that made similar power, I know someone with same bolt ons and made 227 whp, might need a new tuner to make better power

David Morales g37s can be quick, my torque isn’t no where close to 260wtq. If anything a g37s should beat me more than that but we stayed neck to neck
Probably a high reading dyno. Mine eats a stock g37 for a snack. The would have to do fbo to beat me.
