Lee has always been such a beautiful, elegant woman and carries herself so well. I sure wish the young ladies of today would aspire to this level of class and sophistication. I also love the fact she didn't go the plastic surgery route and she has aged so gracefully. She's a true, natural beauty both inside and out.

Lee was in the running for a mission impossible replacement after Barbara left. Instead they made a mistake and got leslie warran who just did not have the needed chemistry for this show. Lee would have been perfect. Big mistake by the producers.
During its initial run, my parents watched Barnaby Jones every week. They liked Buddy Ebsen very much. But Lee Meriwether? She was the all-time favorite television actress of both my parents. Several months ago, my wife and I started working our way through the entire Barnaby Jones series. (We had just finished working our way through the Beverly Hillbillies.) By the time the first season of Barnaby Jones finished, I remembered what my parents used to say about "Lee Meriwether." In the comments below, I noted that many folks commented on her "class." "Class" isn't a word that gets used much anymore. Ms. Meriwether is the very definition of class. She is dignified and delighted in the way she talks, acts, and every other way she presents herself. I've never seen any of the CATWOMAN shows. I'll have to check them out, or at least the one that Lee Meriwether is in! As I recall, Lee Meriwether had once been "Miss America." (My parents used to watch that contest each year I was in childhood. I probably saw the show the year Ms. Meriwether won the Miss America contest. If the contestants still spoke and dressed like Lee Meriwether does in this interview, I, too, would watch Miss America each year. Great interview. Superb role model as the subject of your interview. Lee Meriwether is one of the very few actresses that were beautiful, as well as elegant! The other three “in my opinion”, are….Maureen O’Hara, Deborah Kerr, Grace Kelly. There were others that were beautiful, but in my humble opinion, lacked grace, and elegance!
