Worked with Adam West in 1988 on a film called, "Omega Cop" he was on set for 3 days and was such a hoot to be around. He was kind to everyone, patient and joked it up on the set. Which made working those days all the more fun! Miss you Adam.
"Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb." That line from the movie will always stay with me. Thank you, Adam West, for making this viewer's childhood fun.
When I was a child growing up Adam West was and will always be the "Batman" for me. I grew up watching the 1966 1967 Batman tv series twice a week, part one on Weds. and part two on Thurs. 7:PM to 7:30PM on WABC channel 7 here in NYC. And to this day whenever I watch the show I still enjoy it very much.
This is a terrific interview. Adam West's wit and humor come through (15:15 - one of the funniest comments in any interview and very Batman of him). He didn't get to it, but Adam West was "rock star" popular in Japan.
Batman has always been my favorite show. As a kid I didn't see anything funny about it, to me he was so serious. Once as a kid I got in trouble for something, and my mom told me I couldn't watch Batman for a week, (it was on everyday at this time) and I could have just died. Adam West was the best
Adam West has always had a terrific take on a crazy career turn. Funny, perceptive, and aware of the silliness of it all. Biff! Oof! Nailed it, Batman!
13:37. Adam mentions Burgess Merideth, who played the villain, The Penguin. I can still hear The Penguin's evil laugh, "Hu-whe, hu-whe, hu-whe!". I think that's how you'd spell an evil laugh.
I wonder if he is purposely overstating the artistic direction in Batman on purpose - to have fun with the audience. He is being what he claims that Batman was. It seems all tongue-in-cheek.

Adam was so funny and most importantly ...human! I loved his portrayal. Batman with him had so much warmth that is missed in all the other films.
I was a huge Batman fan as a kid. What a pleasant guy Adam West was.
he was ridding about 20 women a week give that a wee google there :)
He really cherished his role is Batman even after all these years. Love it.

A fun and kind man that never took himself too seriously. RIP buddy. Hope you're resting well.

Watching Batman as first aired when I was a kid, I had no idea the the guest villains were famous actors in their own right.
Loved the famous people,,,
Bad was entertaining.
As a kid, I only recognized Burgess Meredith, but I didn’t know his name. I had no clue about the other villains.
Batman was a great show. When I was a kid we looked forward to watching it. It was silly, but very cool.

He looked mighty fine in that costume. Loved Adam West as Batman!
And he didn't need molded plastic to improve his physique.
Just pure. West.
@@GilesHellier So true! I heard him say basically the same thing on an interview.
@crystalheart9 :) I was actually quoting his guest spot in the Simpsons where he teased himself a little. But the point was still sterling!
@@GilesHellier I will have to see if I can find that on you tube!
He is the bright knight, He is the true Batman. I love Adam West and was good in everything. It's why he was mayor. ADAM WEST!!!!
I grew up in the 1970's on Batman reruns. Mr West's portrayal of Batman provided a positive role model for me.
RIP Adam. Born in 1980. When I 1st saw this show, I completely loved it!! One love to the WHOLE Batman Cast!!
His memoir, “Back To The Batcave” was a really fun read!

He had a good part in Robinson Crusoe on Mars. He always looked a very likable man.
What a wonderful human being he was......
He was great
The reason BATMAN was amazing was that ADAM was BRILLIANT
Adam West has always had a terrific take on a crazy career turn. Funny, perceptive, and aware of the silliness of it all. Biff! Oof! Nailed it, Batman!

What an endearing man - such a special icon -
Great American
Basically the show was a cartoon. Same Bat Time; same Bat Channel.
With all the batman's that were on the big-screen. Adam west and Burt ward were real Batman and Robin to me.
Me too !
The "3 Bs" of the 60s: the Beatles, Bond & Batman!
Cat Man from Fairly Odd Parents. Half man, half cat!
I love you Adam West!!
I love this Batman I love Adam West she's so handsome I love to watch I got the Batman DVD❤
Tough decision to either to watch Batman or Lost in Space at the same hour.
Caesar Romero and Burgess Meredith were the stars in Batman.
i love that he knew it was absurd even then
And Newman as a Catwoman
80% of success is showing up - on time hopefully.
What a shame he never got to play the older stately Batman.
One of the best/R.I.P. Adam
I watched Lost in Space. Then when Batman debut I watched Lost in Space on Wednesday and the 2cd part of Batman on Thursday night.
I still can't believe this was his real voice! I could listen to an audiobook of his voice.
Funny
Funny
best actor
Adam West was on the cover of LIFE magazine and not TIME.

Either to watch
It's "Batgirl", not "Batwoman"!
It was Camp comedy.
27 lives I think, tough 🤣

You're the only one who figured that out!
Batwoman????!!!
No mention of his stint as himself on "Family Guy." He was the only one worth watching.
