I recycle lots of paper and wood quite often but will burn important documents because they are completely gone. Due to me having a shared garden i don't have too many bonfires as smoke blows everywhere but bonfire night is a great excuse for it.
I found a free old Maytag laundry wash machine from Craigslist for free it has stainless steel barrel. I pulled it out and use it for incinerator. It lasted for long time because stainless steel melt at higher temp than steel. It don’t rust, just the ugly tone. It also has holes so it a good vent to burn hotter.
Where I live in Arizona we can burn yard waste etc. But we are limited to when they allow open burns. But you can burn if you have a chimney any time. So by having the lid off you could not burn anytime but when allowed.
I have been reading where galvanized steel is toxic (i.e. that white power on the side when it gets going). Any thoughts? Burning the paper is a great idea but getting sick while doing it doesn't.
MrElephant47, what is the brand and model of the incinerator? How much did you pay for it, if I may ask? Now that it's 2018, how has the incinerator lasted over the years? At about 4:00, I see what looks like glowing cracks on the far side of the interior? Is that the zinc coating cracking?
Amazing, a lot of these incinerators are made in China, gavanising burns off first use, bottom anseams soldered, and it melts, far better with an old oil drum 25 or 200 litre, they are soidly made and steel is thicker.
+Teresa Hutchinson Hello there now you can have some fun with your new incinerator but do try not to get it glowing red hot like i did! or you could lose the bottom.
MrElephant47 How does one prevent the bottom from getting hot for one of these things if it's supposed burn things? I'm looking to purchase one on the weekend.
Hi jay K. I think the idea is not to get so hot! I i got mine glowing white hot while i was burning lots of old wood from my old car port. so hot in fact that when it had cooled down the bottom just fell out! so now i just burn things and don't get it glowing quite so hot.
I see. I'll just be burning papers, etc., so I think I might be okay with one of these. I don't anticipate I'll be lighting any garden things on fire, hehe. Thanks for the reply.
hello logical fruit. i do recycle paper&old cardboard but just wanted to use my new incinerator?it will be used for some garden rubbish and the ashes put on the garden.
I use one to burn bank statements and bills. anything with private information from time to time. Including Garden refuse, twigs and leaves etc.

Good video.just got one myself.
Remember remember, don't play with fire!!
What does the lid actually do ?
it has a hole for air flow and faster burning
It predicts lottery numbers and drinks beers with you...wtf do you think it does. Chimneys on every house etc.
@@pappie1992It also prevents fire from lighting stuff above the incinerator like trees , Birds and more.
The lid is there for a seat if your legs get tired. The hole is there to warm up your bum.
I need one of them
Damn, mines just gone up in smoke

Matches are cheap crap these days
