Interesting review. I’ve bought boxes from Armies in Plastic but never bought these “variety” packs. They might be a good value if you are not picky about the period or figures. At this state I probably have over 1000 54mm unpainted & painted toy soldiers. I think I need to sell some of them lol.
The white officer dude you asked about at the 6:30 time mark is from set #5428 Egypt and Sudan (1885) Anglo-Egyptian Army. They are not currently available in white, but AIP is dumping the chinese made figures. Now they're being made in the good old USA.
@@ODSTfilmz1917 They don't anymore because the set went from 20 figures in 10 poses to 16 figures in 8 poses. Can you say "shrinkflation?" It's not a pretty word.
The tanks that came with Tim Mee sets (and that BMC Toys still makes) are not to the same scale, that's why the Armies in Plastic cavalry tower over them!
That’s amazing. I really enjoyed watching this unboxing review. Btw those officers were just 19th century British officers in white (recolored) although I do not know which set they came in. Great Video👍
I wonder if one can use any of the AIP sets to do Mexican-American War. Maybe French Napoleonic for the Mexican Army? Lancers would be useful. What would work for American forces for that time period?
I would hope Armies in Plastic keeps an eye on these videos on their own, but I sent them a link to this video just in case. It would be so cool if you (and the other army men channels) had a similar relationship to army men companies that video game content creators have, where they would send you sets/sponsor the videos, and let you share news of what they're working on with new sets and promotions.
Hey army, stop motion I love your videos you’ve inspired me to make my own TH-cam channel I’m making my own Stop Motion series and I wanted to know your opinion on it and see what I can improve in my new videos the first ever video I’ve watched from you was the 100 piece World War II bucket ever since that day. I love your channel and watched all of the your new videos Thank you for inspiring me
Hey @migueloritz7819 I think these are really good for some first ever films! The scenery in the films make them interesting. You're also shooting with a nice framerate but I would encourage trying to increase it a bit. I would also recommend investing in a tri-pod and Bluetooth camera shutter so the footage is not jittery.
Thank you for the advice I will surely save up for a tripod. I am also thinking I should get the armies in plastic variety pack #4 with the two camels and screw gun. Do you think it’s a good idea for a desert video.
I've watched a few unboxing videos and the mixed bags never seem to include Foreign Legionaires or Rogers Rangers. It's also hard to tell if the figures in the mixed bags have logos on the bottom of their bases. Just wondering if anyone has input on these observations.
@@ArmyStopmotions I can vouch for the fact that certain Napoleonic forces are well represented in the 250 pack. Chinese Boxers and NW Frontier tribesmen are also in abundance.
