Amazing tour👍 the scenery out there is totaly unreal, and glad you turned around at that spot! thats beyond unpredictable with the river rock, wouldn't have chanced the last one.. but you know me, I'm an ol' scardy cat😀 enjoyed guys
Hi Adam & Chyanne, so much beauty there, I would love to live in BC not just because of the stunning views but because of the fresh air. When you entered the 1st adit those quartz veins were crazy, I totally agree about documenting the small adit's as well as the bigger one's. Chyanne, you did great going into that adit and getting wet feet, shame on you Adam for not using the boots provided 😂 I think for how far you both hiked, Chyanne did amazing, you are one strong lady Chyanne. A nice old mine but those rocks were literally only held together by being wedged and the clay which was acting like a glue. Thank you for sharing, much love to you both. xx ❤
Hello Sue :) Yes, BC is something else for sure!! I know right!! What’s wrong w community rubber boots???? 😂😂 My ankle is feeling a bit better now, but still wear my brace on hikes. It doesn’t take much before I’m quickly reminded to take it easy… Hopefully next summer I’ll be back to my “normal” self:) Thanks for watching and hope you’re doing well!!! XX
Absolutely amazing area, looks kind of tropical, I must go there, take care and be safe Cheyenne, le that heal,I know the injury, love ya guys, thanks again ❤️
Thank you Mike! I’m almost five months post injury and it’s the second time with the same injury and ankle. It’s taking longer to heal this time round.
Great video , I too have explored this particular area of maple ridge , and found some lovely gold along the way , was nice to see some of these mines in the day time , I’ve only seen independence in the dark .
Thanks for stopping by, watching and commenting:) Exploring mines in the dark is on another level lol Neat that you’ve enjoyed spending time in the area, definitely pretty and very peaceful there ❤️
Couple of nice adits you found! My limit would be when you're standing below river rock cemented together with clay lol! I'm guessing you have an air monitor? The worst places are when you climb over rubble on the floor and drop back down. Those are the only times I've experienced lower O2 levels underground out here in the Kootenays. Looking forward to the next explore!
Hello! Yes, I don’t think that one will be accessible for much longer. Apparently this adit was fine last year, but the rain we got in November must have caused the back to fail. Yes, we have a great one :) Rarely has ours gone off, but it has a few times, so we’re happy to have it!! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, we appreciate it!!
4:21 those flowers look like Red Columbine. You guys undertake an interesting exploration of mines. When I use to live in the West Kootenays, I came across abandon mines quite frequently. Most mines had collapsed and were mined for silver and galena.
Check out the book ‘ the golden mountains’ by Charles a miller, lots of information, theirs another few adits north on that creek aswell, the cabin with the picture you are looking for is straight north up the creek from the cabin in your video, you can follow the creek up and just before you hit the logging road above it will be off to the left , the photo of it is barely visible now and the cabin has completely collapsed Theirs a few adits far south below the Larson and Holmes one, can also check out Walden’s on kanaka creek along with some other prospecting farther north of it , you can reach them from the old Logging road at 272nd street, also an old mine area at the top of kearlsey that you can reach with your dirtbikes as it’s gated , couple on the east side of Hayward, have fun out their
Hello Rob:) We’ll definitely check out the book for sure, thanks!! Ahh too bad we missed the photo, but glad it’s more than likely still there :) We’ll have to check out the other ones in the area for sure!! Thanks for the pointers too on other claims, we REALLY appreciate it!! We love riding our bikes too, so the ones you mentioned up Kearlsey and Hayward will be on the list for sure!!!!
I've been to this one by bike, but the water had totally flooded it. Must be this crazy dry spell that dropped the water so you could get in! Super cool to see inside, I'll have to try to check it out before the rains come. Thanks for the vid!

@@AdventuresRUs couldn’t agree more , thanks for sharing the adventure !!
While wearing a boot! love it
Lol Yes! Gotta do what ya gotta do! Lol
That was one scary mine,it all most looks like a river bed they were following for placer gold.
It was super sketchy! Apparently it wasn’t like that the year before too, so all those collapses that we were climbing over were pretty recent.
I wanna come on some of these adventures with you guys 🙏🙇🙏🙇😻😻😸tur
Whereabouts are you from?

Thanks for letting us know what they are:) Yes, it’s surprising how many can be found tucked away in the mountains!

If you have an email I can help you out with the book,
Sure, we’d appreciate any help! You can send it to Adam at adamzakall@gmail.com :) Thank you!

Ya, we’ve had a few ppl mention it’s been flooded for awhile, guess we lucked out w our visit:). Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Cat prints. No toenails.
Pretty sure you can see the nails and the second print is the back foot, too long for a cougar.
Hi. What was the purpose of the mine?....anyways thanks very much you guys. Heh.*john…
Hello John:) They were mining gold on this claim. Don’t think they found much, but they certainly tried!
a simple paper map would've gone a long way... you guys should know....
What we had worked just fine:)
what is the name of this mine?
Each adit has its own name.
