😁👍Thanks for the shoutout, man you ran it through hell I seen sticker vines you ran it threw and all!! This is super nice, Try coating the tires with a thin coat WD40 that may give you the extra grip you needed. I wonder if you can get some different tires like maybe from RC4wd if they have anything the size maybe a hair taller would be nice. I really like this small rig it's built real good a true hobby grade.... I put mine threw hell and it keeps coming back for more!! 👍Nice showcase.
I bought one love it I already swapped plastic steering link with metal and put a new bright 1/15 scale body on it looks amazing with headlights in new body
@@TomleyRC wish I could post of pic it’s not done have to make side skirts to hide the esc What I like the most about the truck is that the esc has potential for more lights. Still scratching my head what the motor is mounted too is that a reducer for the gearing ?
Impressive little crawler. That wheel speed is dangerously mad when hopping over obstacles. I think the advertised speed of 15-20 KPH is about right! Great video mate. This one should go on the Christmas list for sure.
I never noticed before how small that steering servo actually is. This was a great test and in my opinion this think is a pretty good 1/16 or 1/14 scale crawler
What people want to see is things like, how good is the ESC, will it crawl, you just seem to hammer the throttle. Show the steering lock, explain what the reduction does.
This looks like a mega little truck and has been added to my shopping list. I do feel like you asked a bit too much of it on the chosen terrain tho phil. Think you need to think more about scale when choosing the location. Great video tho and I will be back for the next one as usual. 👍 Oh, some thing for you to look at! Military spec 100" Land rover. Its probably a copyright dodge but this looks like a 100" rather than a d90
Surprised it doesn't have a low range. You should probably look into adding a even lower range then it has now and I bet it would do even better and be easier to control.
Hi Duncan, yes it'll fit perfectly. Most of my friend replace the original body with mn90 / mn99s hardbody. Doesn't need additional body post, mount it directly to front and back bumper.
Hi Tomley! I love your super informative videos! I'm trying to decide between two Landrover Defender RC models, the RGT 136161 and the MN 99. I'm having a tough time deciding between the two because they're roughly the same price and appear to perform the same for rock crawling. Which one would you recommend someone who's just starting the hobby to get? I am planning to get extra LiPo batteries but I don't have any controllers or other hardware. Do the Oil shocks in the RGT put it above the MN? Which one is more worth it? Thanks in advance!
No damage,, still going, COOL cool cool,,, Maybe you mite TRY it in your backyard course, someday, all &all it mit be just a little big for, the course, 👍, enjoy your day tomorrow, working, or RC. 💯🌞
I want to know how much you can weight it down before you damage it. And will it improve the crawling and looks while driving? instead of hopping so much.
Hello Tomley, my English is basic, I'm from Argentina, I wanted to know if I could make the rgt 136161 higher and put bigger wheels like crawler. GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA
Hi, congratulations for your truly wonderful channel! Excuse me if I disturb you, I wanted to kindly ask you some information - Behind the "rgt" and "ftx" brands is the same company? This "rgt 136161" seems equal to the ftx outback ranger 1/16 " - How many mm are wheel hexes? - Do you find alternative circles and wheels and other accessories like the best shock absorbers? Thank you!!
Hi I live in Lincoln and also getting into RC. Whereabout can I go in Lincoln for myself and my Son to go with Nitros and Crawlers? I heard you mention a quarry where you was in this vid..., is it Len Kirks quarry? Loving your vids, keep it up... Regards Steve
Hi Steve, Greetwell Quarry, near the Hospital. It's a pain to get too, but worth the trek. As for Nitros.... not sure, but there is a big area next to South Common (usually where the Fun Fair is).. that may be ok
Does look a nice little rig but if i may, i say you put it against to hard a test area, we all tend to think "Rock crawler" it will handle any thing but not the case, my 1/10 Ford f-150 would struggle on that
Hello, do you or anyone know where to get spare parts for this? Or if there’s parts from other cars that your can throw in, I would like to know. Thaks!
I got the yellow one and broke it the second day I had it the front steering hubs are so weak and break other then that it was good when it was going been waiting for the new parts to arrive for weeks now hope to get them soon

No worries Steve. Credit where credit is due 😎
Is this better than the wpl c24-1?
@@griminyt2354 This is more hobby grade it's built much better.
@@ShenRC ok and can I fit a wpl c54-1 body on this the lc80 body on this?
@@griminyt2354 Hi I am not sure this one uses a lexan body I never tried mounting another body on mine.
Impressive for the price. Lots of torque so you can hop what you can't crawl. Nice rugged terrain for a such a little truck. Good review
Thanks mate
Yet again solid review, on my wish list buddy.
Great for a Sunday afternoon chill out 👌👌👌👌
Thanks mate
It's a great truck for the price. Plus it comes with hobby wing and Dumbo RC.

@@TomleyRC hello, would the wpl c54-1 body fit on this chassis and is this better than the wpl c24-1
Very very magnificent mini crawler rc my friend💪😁
Nice bit of kit
NIIIICE! It does look bigger than 1/16th, compared to my Tiger tank and Schwimmwagen.
Yes, not a fun as your Tank 😎
Great video👍
Impressive thanks for the review 👍
No probs mate
Is this better than the wpl c24-1 and can a wpl c54-1 body fit on the chassis of this crawler?
It is really cool this mini crawler and in addition to that price 👍
would love to have one of this for indoor crawling :). looks very nice
Yes, really nice little truck
Alright, that's it, I'm ordering one. I mulled it over and over yesterday and decided to hold out. But it's got so much going for it for the money.
Also going to see just how much is involved in mounting the Fayee 0003a D90 body on this thing with some magnets.
Shouldn’t be to hard
That 370 wuth its reduction box makes this truck a tempting proposition, sespite those chunky pumpkins
Yes, good for a trail though. Not so much for big rocks
Very nice rig!! I really like it! Good for te price! Thanks for reviewed it! Have a nice day!
No probs dude
Pretty nice little truck, dude! 😃
Great review!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Do you think that upgrades for wpl would work on it? Like the metal axel. Was thinking about ordering one with the jeep body.
Great review and a great looking truck.....
Thanks mate
Cool little RC,great review

It's a nice car. I have the same color as yours.
Surprised it doesn't have a low range. You should probably look into adding a even lower range then it has now and I bet it would do even better and be easier to control.
That would be good.. maybe a slightly smaller pinion
Very cool, I'm gonna get that title of fastest toy car off you!!!
Haha... go for it mate. Look forward to seeing the results
Is it waterproof?
I have one of these. Very good. How do you make it more controllable. Slow the speed down on it. Cheers
Hi Tomley, please could you mount an mn90 body to this truck, I was wondering what it will take to fit and I think it would look great! Thanks!
It probably can’t. The body is a 1:16 scale, and the MN D90 is a 1:12

Yes, so weight would help
definitely a tempting buy with the dumbo and hobby wing, but if you take those out, would it still be worth it ?

I’ll see how goes...
Could you tell me what lipo you used in this truck please
Can you upgrade the bottom of it make it a little taller what three links because it looks like you can do quite well with it
Does the ESC on this compatible with 2s lipo and will cut off the battery appropriately? Thanks to anyone who might reply!
First question with any crawler is, can it actually crawl?

Yes it can 👍
Would I just leave it in the stock position on the esc jumper?
I saw a review where the guy got the halo rings to come on on the head lighta vs the white center...has anyone fogured this out?
Grab some blackberries before you leave the area!
Haha... they are pretty much done now. I have had some from here in the past though. Nice with a bit of ice cream 😎
Put thos axles on the wpl c24.asp.
Compare it to the panda hobby 1/18
