This was MOST appreciated. The other guy skipped the bezel, then he talked on and on about the manufacturers HDD connectors. If you've never changed a hard drive, DON'T disassemble a laptop right? Anyhow, your video was thorough and to the point. In other words: dope, thank you.
Hello, thank you for such a nice comment!!! Yes, people should be careful with drill. Stripping the screws can bring such a huge pain to remove it some times ... so, I hope no one will have problem like that!! :) Looks like you did a great job!!!
i have this model which i love it so much coz its heavy like a dumbbell so that I can save some money on the gym but slow like a dumb due to 1.8gz after windows 10 installed. Can we upgrade the processor ? mine is T5550 core 2 duo
Hi. First of all, thank you very much for this video. It helps me to disassembly my HP Pavilion DV2700. I need to clean the cooler. If its not done, I will have a serious problem. Congratulations from Brazil. Hey guys, if you need additional details, you may find the manual of DV2700 in google.
Hi Greg, thank you for comment and sorry for messages, I don't really use it. I just wonder, if you run a computer repair shop, don't you have already all tools that are needed to fix everything? :) I think every tech is get use to some tools and it is pretty much doesn't matter what others are using. Except if it is much better, you know what I mean. Screwdrivers Stanley, drill SKIL Camera setup is pretty easy. Regular camcorder from canon. I don't really like my setup, need more space :)
Hi, do you have video showing how to replace mother board? i.e like how to remove processor and other stuff from the old & faulty mother board and put it in new mother board. atleast instructions would be helpful.
I really liked the video cause ppl don’t this anymore but I would’ve loved it more if as you take out the part you would tell us as what that part was called. So we could have even more knowledge thx again for the vid
Sorry for later reply. Didn't I removed this screws or it will be better to make some annotation to this video to make people will see this screws? Thank you!
I didn't check, but I'm sure you did remove the screws at that location. I wasn't going step by step with the video though and it's just an easy screw to miss. Was just trying to give an extra word of warning to those reading the comments.
Was very helpful altho i recommend not using a drill as fast as he was you might strip the screws haha but i was able to find that anoying screw i left on from this video as my laptop does fully work i replaced the hardrive new power cable and such still working strong thanks mate for the video
Been there, done that, it really helps, since I never had the need to disassemble the screen but I will, soon. As someone else said, I wouldn't recommend using that kind of "drill", but sure it seems to fasten the whole process. BTW, I'll play with some processors, any recommendation? Do you think it can hold a T7600 Core 2 Duo?
The difference is 31W vs 34W, so I'm guessing it'll be safe. Chipset, 945GM says that it's supported. Same socket, same FSB. All I'm wondering is if the BIOS will recognize it.
Thanks again man, this is the third time one of your videos have helped me. This system has a design flaw on the video chip (overheats. Any thoughts on how to solve that?
+stormbringer that's great, thanks for sharing! Yeah, know for overheating. Some people making more holes in a case bottom, I think the easiest way would be a new laptop. :)
No way. You don't even remember where to put each thing. What a mess! lo. My dv2000 gets really hot I have heard maybe due to fan obstruction or something. Is neccessary all the work to clean it?
For future views, when you remove the top plate at 5:30 .... I forgot to take the two screws below on the right under the disk drive out and ended up snapping that part in half there... not to hard too fix with some super glue.. but still, be careful!
This thing was a bitch to work with. I work IT for my school and this guy didn't take care of it. Had to replace the motherboard, and all those screws that were either missing or broken were awful.
Ok. Followed the steps. Now I need to watch it in reverse.
This is absolutely unhinged behavior 😂. I just wanted to know how to take the back cover off. Appreciate the vid!

Is the keyboard tied to the body with 3 screws?
Sorry for later reply.

Thanks man but I think I've got myself in a little trouble. You have a video on putting this hp dv2500 back together?
+Mote Hopper I don't have a video like that, but I can make this video played in revers and upload it on my other channel.
I got it back together but its not acting right. had a couple screws left over. screen blinks and goes a little haywire. thanks.
Did the video ever get uploaded in reverse??

Is it possible to upgrade the components in this computer? Processor, RAM, maybe add in SSD?
Arturo Garza
Of course. You can even upgrade the cpu to the core 2 extreme x7900 socket p
@@localdrone5124 how can you do that? It's a Turion X2.

I think if cheap set will handle it - TBU is important if it will be not too hot for a fan...

What screw driver unscrews the door to the Hard Disk? Also what screw driver for the Motherboard?
Even a regular screwdrivers should do that.
A phillips, or a Stanley, what kind?
