i performed this my junior year of high school and it will remain to be one of my favorite pieces of all time. of course i do not even begin to compare to the elegance and amazing skill of galway. phenomenal performance. he is my greatest inspiration.

I've heard this piece before but I didn't know what it was called until Gina Luciani played an excerpt of it on her latest video. Galway is not my favorite flutist to listen to but I've always admired him for his technique
Regarding the type of flite he's playing though it looks like a muramatsu then but he changed to a nagahara a flute maker that lives in Boston Mass one of many I think it's classed as one of the rolls Royce of flutes there. But however great artist and inspiration for anyone learning the flute from beginner to pro. The instrument is only as good as the player that's playing it.

I think that if I took a look at that sheet music, my mind would explode.
Its really not as hard as it sounds. I played it once and when you got the tonguing patterns and fingers under control, its pretty easy.
Yeah this piece is not too hard, but to play as fast as him needs a lot of practice
