    This is am excellent demo. Far too many brands post product videos that are under a minute, which ultimately tell you nothing. Really helpful, thank you!

    actually very helpful from a manufacturer. Usually only get highlights that are not helpful at all. Well Done. I'll be passing this along to several of my acrylic art groups.

    Really well done. Great commentary and thorough explanations. I will be using passing this along to those folks who ask me about these pearls. They are magical and the combinations are endless. There is so much really bad information out there that I've found, because of bad results, discourage folks from continuing to pursue painting. I do my best in my small way with folks I instruct and especially young people to set them straight and give them encouragement. Videos like this one will really help.
    Thank You

    This is the best video I’ve seen about pearl/interference. There are SO MANY PEOPLE out there doing tutorials But doesn’t have a clue how to use them so they barely get them to show 😅😂 now THIS is good.
    But i wonder, if you would to take them off the black paper and lay it on to a white paper/canvas. Would the colors ”go back” to ”white or would they just become lighter? Because my immediate thought is that they should go back to white. But I don’t really think so. Golden acrylics has a cool simulate thing like this but in photo, where they mix their golden acrylics interference & pearl (pearl is their white) and they mix all of them (separately, but now I wanna now what mixing them all together would get) with ~ 5 different colors and they get so cool colors. And they do it on white paper so mixing it to other colors will make the colors show even on white.
    But you showed something else, they had a little part on black but they didn’t do the undertone-part.
    I wonder, is there any OTHER way to use under tone/mass tone to my advantage? Because that gives a type of “chameleon”-effect, and I wanna be able to use that fully. BUT I don’t want it to look like that, I do not know the word for it but it isn’t smooth, some parts are just still black and some show the interference-color which is stated in the name. I would like to be able to play with mass -\ under tone BUT not have any black shown where I put the paint. Do you understand me?
    It would be so dope if you could tell me a way to make that work.

    I"m trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. My pearlescents get so diluted they nearly disappear. I watched your video again, especially the part where you mix with the primary colors. If I want to use them in a pour painting, I think I will need to use a more of a 50-50 mix of pearlescent and non-pearl. Before I was layering probably less pearlescent than regular colors. Maybe that was why they got swallowed up. Still left a gorgeous shimmer to the canvas, but somehow I ended up with about 6 shades of blue! Will try again.

    Dot from the UK
    Thank you for a very helpful and informative video. I saw these paints on Amazon and wondered what I could do with them, and I came across your video, so glad I did. I was very impressed, so much so I have treated myself to a set of the pearl and also a set of the primary colours. I love to create on black card or paper, can't wait to get t started. Can they be used on a Gelli plate, have you tried printing onto black paper? Thanks once again, love from the UK, Dot x.

    Are there any other BASE colors( other than the black) that would work with the pearls??

      Yes! Any colour will work, really. Especially dark colours, but even white works! Then the colour will only really show up only when it hits the light

    How to mix Amsterdam pearl paint with pouring paint

  • @Carole_Williamson

    I’ve been wondering if you can mix the pearls together, for instance, pearl red and pearl yellow to make a pearl orange?

    • @Royaltalens1899
      @Royaltalens1899  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi! I just tried it out myself, and yes you can create pearl orange by mixing pearl red and pearl yellow. It is very lovely and copper-like. I also tried to create green but that one does not work, sadly. Fortunately we do sell pearl green! So some of them work, and others wont, but the mixed colour will always be a little les vibrant than the original colours. I hope this helped!

    Bought my first tube of red acrylic and it does not cover white well

    • @Royaltalens1899
      @Royaltalens1899  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      May I ask which colour you got specifically? It sounds like a transparent colour. All our colours have different levels of transparency , it is indicated with a little square on the tube (a black square means it is opaque, an empty square means it is transparent).

    Where can I buy the large tubes of Amsterdam pearl colors?

  • @Neil-Aspinall
    @Neil-Aspinall ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah but how do you retain the true color opposed to diluting it? I want pearl colors with true intensity.

    • @Royaltalens1899
      @Royaltalens1899  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you want the true pearl colours, it is best to just use the colours without mixing it with anything. You can make it more intense by using thin layers and building it up. Another way to bring out the colour is to mix it with a tiny tiny tiny bit of black. I hope that helps!

    😂😂ughhh. Rookie here HELP. lol. If i want to use these colours/pigments for coasters(resin), can i use them "as is", or do i need to add them on to the regular paint?

    • @Royaltalens1899
      @Royaltalens1899  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends a little on the result you are looking for! The paints are very transparent so you will only get the shimmer in the resin. I would advice to mix them with a little other paint just to give it some colour. I hope that helps!
