It didn't end up mattering, but they guy had 7 names in the gates already, because the dupilicates of gates count for one of them. He had Ogudo 1 turn sooner, and didn't have to risk losing.
I have to say I still dislike 7GDL as a deck lol same as RK but just....worse to play against. either you tech against this with floodgates orrr hope they brick themselves. They just seem to have answers to everything but might be skill issue
Unfortunately Brandon had only 2 opportunities to swing: the turn after I leviad and the turn he swung with omni. Creepys are blockers, so I'd just block the rookie swings

@@JLinusVanPelt Thanks! I'm still playing around with the build. Mostly ratios, but I did add a Moonmillenniummon for the hybrid matchup. Still trying to optimize flexibility and consistency.
ben's top 3 regional 7gdl deck profile was posted about a month ago on the channel, i imagine it isn't too different. i'd find space to tech in a 1-of kurata though, to make the deck resistant to mercy mode/paladin mode ace/blackgato uver
The downside of 7GDL is being a leniar game plan, u filled the trash then on play some broken on play after 7 sources u hard play and win , don't get me wrong the different digimon on play effect are so cool but the win condition is very boring
As the person who was getting thrashed on this vid 7gdl isn't the best deck in format by a long shot This is a pilot who knows the deck in and out and knows how to counter my deck perfectly. This is purely a display on how he knew how to counter me and my strategy.
This was round 4 of a loooooong night As the person running the event as well as getting thrashed in a bad matchup I was tilted before even sitting down for this match. 😅
