Power outage in Kenya, especially in Nairobi and bigger towns is not as a result of rationing as it used to be years ago. It's usually for repairs, or maintenance especially due to the various construction work of roads, drainage, Internet cables, etc. There's always a public notice before a disconnection, highlighting the areas that will be affected and the time.

Power outages are actually rare in Nairobi and when they happen most buildings have generators. The type of power you had was pay as you go which we also use in the UK.

I liked your review it was very accurate Nairobi isn't there yet but if they keep going it will be a world class city just like new York somebody described Nairobi as phily and atlanta had a baby.

That's a good way to put it. I think of it like LA and New York together, but that's probably because those are two cities I've lived in.

My man, I am a Kenyan who understands what you are seeing... But she's a KENYAN woman. Her standards are very high about her own country. You'll have to work a bit harder to sell the changes. This is her home and she has a way in her mind that it is supposed to be. It's not just you muzungus... Even us Kenyan men have to justify our constructions to our ladies. Yet, they are why we are working so hard... So if they disapprove we have to go back to the drawing board. However, on the side... We can celebrate the achievements.😊
