Outstanding ! It is music like this which redeems the human soul from the tortured insanity of the modern age, and lends a sense of transcendence. Thank you for this.
This performance stopped me in my tracks. Byrd's great lament always reduces me to tears but I thought this quite exceptional with just the right balance of tonal purity and emotional power. Evidence if er needed of of Byrd's technical mastery. Surely the greatest composer of his age,

Absolutely breathtaking! The lyrics and harmonies are amazing! Quite different now because of COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 singing in a virtual choir or singing with masks and physical distancing.
Siglo de Oro thank you for the answer, I looked out where and when, Your concert is in a very beautiful and cute chapel, the organisation has planned two performance sessions, you know when in the afternoon? I’ll be there and I’ll make publicity in my choir,, what a fantastic news,
That's great news! I think it will be around 1600, but I'm not sure it's confirmed yet. We'll look forward to meeting you there though. Thank you for spreading the news to your choir!

Madre mía, este Bird es un prodigio. Qué cosa más bonita!

Thanks very much for your comment. We agree about Byrd - unequaled!

Suenan magníficos,y la voz del bajo me parece excepcional; preciosa obra de Byrd, me encanta.
Muchas gracias!
That's just gorgeous in every way. Thank you.
Thank you Dave!
Why is is that performances by very young adults are so superb in this repertoire? What a great account 👏
Thanks ever so much for your kind comment!
Because of their fresh voices. Golden Age, for sure!

Wonderful performance.
Can you tell me how you arranged the mics to "see" everyone around the circle?
Thanks a lot.
Good question - I'm afraid that was the wizardry of Apple and Biscuit appleandbiscuit.com/
Beautiful sound! Where was it recorded?
Thank you! All Hallows' Gospel Oak, London
Can someone PLEASE explain this standing arrangement to me?
It's a circle.
@@pjie2 I'm crying
I meant the arrangement of the individual parts. It isn't SSAATTBB but an almost random mix

@@pjie2 oh thank you so much. I was losing my mind trying to find the meaning behind the arrangement.

Strange F natural in bar 48 😐
Can't hear one there... which edition are you using? And which voice sings the strange F?
Siglo de Oro I think tenor 2 sings an F natural. It just caught my ear.
We'll listen again. Thanks for paying such close attention!
I know that people like the conductor, but when the camera misses the beginnings of "Civitas" and "Sion"...
Can do without the vibrato people!
