    Good info. I've had goats about 2 years now, we have
    Dapple Boers & some Nigerian dwarfs. One of our boer does had triplets 8 weeks ago. They seemed healthy. Then one of them started acting a little off. We took her to the vet & they said she had worms bad. We did everything we could, worming her, also giving vitamin B & electrolytes.. Sadly she didn't make it. She was fine one day & 9 days later she's gone. She went down hill fast! Everyone else seems to be doing great. I'm still learning a lot about them but it seems odd for one goat to have parasites so bad & everyone else doesn't? Their all together in same areas. We rotate pasture, they have plenty of shelters. I'm in southern SC, we have had a lot of rain past 2 months also. I didn't know wet weather could cause them to get worm worse.? We added a great pyrenees to the heard last year. He has been awesome & nice knowing there's someone out there keeping an eye of everyone & the coyotes away! It's amazing how such a big dog can be so gentle with kids goats

    This wet, warm winter has also given me chase on worms.
    I have one that was fine and then got slammed. She's my herd queen, so i think she's masking a bit. She's still eating and drinking, still feeding her kids & giving her typical milk quantity. But her body condition is the worst I've ever seen it. It's not typical kidding/milk loss. Did a fecal on her & it was not good.
    All sorts of worms, lots of round & barberpole.
    Switching to a different protocol and pulled cydectin to combine with safeguard (not great) because that was recommended.
    But what I can't find is when to redo her fecals to recount & watch for resistance. In my mind I think 10 days, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?
    Giving nutri drench, b-12, and red cell, but I'm so nervous about overdosing with drug classes or causing resistance.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    • @BoisDArcKikos
      @BoisDArcKikos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would wait longer than 10 days on the fecal maybe 2-3 weeks I would worm her again in 10 days then maybe the fecal will look alot better. We do a mix prohibit and a white wormer like valbazan or safeguard if we have to worm.
