At 8:30ish when you are talking about the N64's the big difference is in the ram expansion pack, it's red which is the upgraded one and the black is the base one.
Yes thank you. They are usually quite expensive if you buy them alone. Which is why i thought the clear red n64 was a good price for having one included.
Awesome video, man! 29:15 I do that kind of stuff in HARD OFF too haha. "Making things look better..." xD 77000 yen seems a little too expensive for the AES there. I guess the condition was really good if they put that kind of a price there. I've seen it for around 40, but with one arcade stick.
Thanks man! Its the perfectionist in us i suppose. ha ha. Yes, if it was more reasonable i might have grabbed it but id kinda prefer a fixer upper console. 40 sounds more reasonable.
Such an amazing video, I LOVE those junk sections!! I'll land in japan in 11 days, gotta make sure to explore as many hard-offs as possible! Over all, are famicoms/Sfamicoms generally working when you get them from the junk section for a couple of bucks? Keep up the good content man, I love watching your videos!
Great news mate! Many of the best deals can be found at a random hardoff. Yes id say way more often then not junk famicoms are in working order or can be serviced with minimal effort. Thanks for the kind words, happy hunting and hope you enjoy your visit.
Scruffy, HARDOFF looks like the place to go when you've got some credits to your name. I love your commentary and hearing the Hardoff ahopping theme. Great video. Are Hardoff and Bookoff related chains of stores?
Sam thanks for the continued support man much appreciated. Hardoff, Bookoff, houseoff, hobbyoff, and even more are all the same company there is even a liquoroff i believe.
Is there a way to tell if a Super Famicom is a 1CHIP model without taking it apart to look at the circuit board? Also it's interesting that they had a Super Nintendo for sale for about 3x what they sell for here in the US.
I think there are some serial numbers to look out for on the 1 chips. Yes quite shocking to find a SNES here in japan its rare here hence the ridiculous pricetag
@@ScruffyLookinRGB I''ll search out for those videos. Favorite is the Turbo Grafx16 Express/ PC Engine GT model. My childhood friend had one when I was a kid and always wanted to grab one but couldn't afford it at the time. Still seems very expensive for a working copy.
17:38 That is Annet Again, starring Anne Futanabi of Earnest Evans and El Viento fame. The third game in the the series (El Viento, Earnest Evans, Annet Again) from Wolf Team. 19:45 Akazukin Cha Cha, based off an absolutely hilarious anime. 23:06 the good GBC Goemon game is the one in the clear green cart, the black cart ones are the awful RPG games. Avoid them if possible. 38:22 Another opportunity for Donoffee! Noticed another little editing snag, this time on the MD game late into the video. 😉
Thank you for filling in the details on all those miscellaneous games. Is annet again any good? Akazukin CHa cha deserves further investigation. hmm can never have enough donoffee! Unfortunate hiccup with my extremely long video and lacking space with my hard drive caused me some headache unfortunately. Just glad i was able to get this video out there on time.
@@ScruffyLookinRGB Sadly Annet Again is mediocre, not as bad as Earnest Evans, but not as good as El Viento. As for donuts, the chocolate covered ones I find are the best. We have our local donut shop chain here, awesome donuts. Keep doing the hunts, I enjoy them

Hi mate, where is this hard off located?
Is this Tokyo? Can you send location for everyone please! :)
In wich region is this store?
They slap JAPAN ONLY on everything for NTSC-J consoles.
Hey dude. Do you have a Patreon? It would be sick if you could send games overseas!
I don't, but if it is something not too crazy I'll try to help you out. Contact me on one of my social media sites 👍
@@ScruffyLookinRGB I sent you a msg through Instagram :)
can tell me the hard off location?
Hello. A bit expensive thé néo géo in thé begining...
I agree with you on that one
